I explained & he said "we don't sell Craftsman, go to Home Depot!" . Never mind that I bought the set at ACE, perhaps something changed or this particular store doesn't have or doesn't like to honor warranties, or the attendants just don't appreciate their jobs or customers. I called Lowe's Covina & Edgar in Tools said "craftsman are guaranteed for life, bring it in & we'll swap it...but please give me the size & I'll make sure we have it in stock". 25 minutes later I walked out of Lowe's with a brand new replacement wrench. We're told to buy local and that ACE has better service than "big box stores". Unfortunately that is not true. I wish Max's Hardware only the best, but I will NEVER return to this store and will cancel my ACE discount/rewards card membership.

This review is not about them. They asked me to call back the next day to speak to the owner. Like I said, I was very polite, I wasn't mad, I just wanted to understand what happened. I figured it was possible that the mistake was on the shop's end and thought they would make amends for it if that was the case. I was not expecting a free new piece of glass or a refund. I just wanted to know what happened. After explaining the situation, the first words out of the owner's mouth were, "Listen carefully because I'm only going to say this one time..." He proceeded to scold me and insult my family for, according to him, providing him the wrong measurements. Then he repeated over and over that the order was nonrefundable. I said, I understand that. I just want to know what measurements were jotted down and whether there is a discrepancy between that and the actual numbers. He lost his mind. I knew it was a lost cause, so I just hung up. My family was considering reordering for the correct size, but his approach was absolutely horrible. Given the rest of the reviews, it seems like this is a common occurrence. To hell with this company.

After we paid and left Home Depot, the orchid pot got blown by a huge gust of wind and fell over, breaking the vase. When they were checking out the paint the employee named Carlo spilled it all over the table and became very frustrated since he spilled it over his jeans. From then he decided to ignore me and asked another employee named Christine to take over. They decided to remix the original paint to the correct color, but when I asked Christine whether they would refill the can since a lot of it was spilled by Carlo, she gave me really bad attitude and did not want to promise me that they would refill the paint they spilled. (the can was brand new, I did not use the paint at all due to the color being wrong) Later on, she completely ignored my questions and gave me really bad attitude. Terrible experience, horrendous customer service. Go to another Home Depot instead.
