This practice is exactly what I hoped for: - No gimmicks like offering customers potential awards for a 5-star review. - No tricks like saying they accept insurance, while they are not on that provider's 'preferred' list. - No whacky photographers taking pictures of your teeth just as you show up. - No gimmicky office tours with gifts for nice reviews. - No tricks to make make a person spend more money than they have to. Yes, those things and more happened at another dental practice, so I was hesitant. Bogey Hills Dental was great to me. The Dr. and staff were extremely efficient and made the work seem like they could do it with their eyes closed. It was a real relief to find this practice. My wife found this office when we moved to Missouri and I can honestly say in the last 6 years or so of living here, I've never been upset about a visit here. One thing I cannot understand is how they can remember me from one appointment to the next. I do regular 6 month checkups and never need anything more, yet the receptionists know me when I walk in. The hygienist knows me, remembers my interests and my employer, etc. I don't know how they do it, but it makes the experience even better. At this new practice it always feels rushed and the treatment reflects that. I've basically begged for help for a year over multiple appointments to deal with teeth pain and bad taste I had around implants. Multiple x rays were taken across two trips from what I recall, and kept being told I was all good. Eventually I had to assume they didn't know what they were talking about or just didn't want to deal with it so I went out for other opinions because they just wouldn't help me get to the cause. And this wasn't severe pain and I wasn't looking for pain treatment, I just wanted to fix the tooth and get rid of the taste I knew wasn't right. After seeing another dentist, an oral surgeon, and a prosthodontist I can assure you there was a lot wrong for quite awhile. Some of these other dentist have much nicer x rays and technology but they said even with older machines it should have been clear. But because I had waited too long to see them I am now looking at implant removal, maybe two of them, and then bone grafts to rebuild and then hopefully a reinstall of implant(s). I'm seeing multiple specialist because some want to pull one implant and some want to pull both because of how bad it got. Then I have to explain I haven't been ignoring my teeth, have been going in for cleaning every 6 months, and have specifically brought up there area in question for over a year and for some reason, the dental professional I put my faith and money into, steered me completely wrong and then wouldn't even return my calls since all this. Don't worry though I paid that last bill you were able to send even though my calls and voicemails were ignored. Do yourself a favor, protect your teeth and your own wellbeing and see someone who has the time, skills, and technology to get yourself treated correctly.

The receptionist was kind and thorough with the paperwork I had to fill out. I wasn't kept waiting more than 5 minutes before I was seen. My hygienist, Jill had a great personality. She wasn't fake nice- she was knowledgeable and explained everything before she did it. She took her time going through the after care without making me feel like I was wasting her time. I met the dr briefly but he also was thorough. The equipment they used was up to date and made X-rays a lot easier to deal with when I already had a sore mouth. Even the bathrooms were super clean. The waste basket is sensor automated which shows me that they really care about cleanliness. I'm so glad I chose this place and plan on being with them for a long time.

I'm incredibly disappointed with the experience we had with Dr. Scott Drooger. My wife went in for…read morea simple tooth extraction and requested a quote for a bone graft to aid in healing. After receiving a quote of over $1,000 for the bone graft--significantly more than the cost of the same procedure she received last year at her regular dentist for about a third of the price--we were understandably confused. We asked to speak with Dr. Drooger to better understand why the price was so inflated. When he entered the room, his demeanor was nothing short of unprofessional. His first words were, "Yeah?"--hardly a welcoming or respectful way to address a patient's concerns. When I introduced myself as her husband and tried to ask for a detailed explanation of the costs and the procedure, his only response was, "It costs this much because I went to school for 16 years." That was the extent of his explanation--no insight into the procedure, no breakdown of the charges, just a rude and dismissive attitude. We were left in disbelief at how we were treated. He didn't explain any of the procedure codes or why this bone graft was priced so much higher than the one my wife had received previously. Instead, he rushed out of the room without providing any further clarification, leaving us feeling dismissed and disrespected. After the encounter, we expressed our dissatisfaction with his behavior, but unfortunately, the damage had already been done. Although his dental assistant tried to answer our questions, the lack of professionalism and medical explanation left us with no confidence in proceeding with the surgery. We ultimately decided to leave and not go through with the procedure. The worst part is, that I would have probably paid for the overpriced bone graft had we been treated with basic dignity. My wife and I both took time off work for this appointment, only to be met with poor customer service and an unwillingness to address our concerns. We will not be returning and cannot recommend Dr. Drooger to anyone seeking quality care and professionalism. I would strongly recommend anyone considering dental work with Dr. Drooger to do additional research. From what I've gathered, this seems to be a common issue, and many others have had similar negative experiences. It's truly shocking that a doctor would respond this way to a patient simply asking questions about a procedure. Based on his unprofessional bedside manner, I can't imagine he provides quality medical care.

He is thorough, answers as many questions as I can throw at him, gracefully handles my MAJOR dental anxiety without judgement, and his staff are amazing. If you're looking for budget work done quickly, look elsewhere. But if you are looking for someone who does not cut corners (and who wants that with your health?), is up front with payments and treatment plan, and just generally makes a painful and anxiety-inducing situation easier than I highly recommend. His surgical skills and expertise on cutting edge practices are exemplary. 10/10
