I usually refrain from writing negative comments unless it's really bad, but I think certain…read moreelements are worth highlighting . Draw your own conclusion. 1. First, with a positive, the follow up and customer service is great. It has to be, due to the following comments listed. 2. Moved a 1 bedroom apt( bedframe , mattress, dresser , 2 TVs , and a sofa), and it took 5 hours , with a locked elevator , in the same building, separated by 2 floors.Everything additional was boxed or bagged. No loose items. 3. They attempted to change the charges the day of the move , even though we had confirmed less than 24 hours prior. Claimed the 3rd person Was due to their double booking, snow , etc . And the additional man would speed up the process . Did i mention this simple 1 bedroom move took 5 hours for an in building, one bedroom transfer? Does that seem expedited ? Everything was a group effort, and teaching moment. this slowed the move down. For example, it Took 20 minutes of discussion to figure out how to disassemble a bed frame efficiently . Constantly going back and forth to the moving truck on the clock ( for what idk ) . If not watched , disappearing for 15-20 minutes at a time . 4. I was advised that I could leave my dresser items in the drawers, and they could move them efficiently. I now have to find someone to take my dresser apart, due to items some how making their way to inside unreachable areas insiders dresser. 5. I have to find someone to reassemble my sofa. They didn't put it back together. 6. You're charged 30 minutes to and from . So, you owe an hour before they start . They didn't have to leave the property, but charged me fuel . How do you charge someone fuel, and time for arrival, and departure ? Seems like the rate is only labor . You're also charged for any items used to rap to transport furniture . The intimation that they try to give you when you book is that is inclusionary. 7. With a discount, A DISCOUNT, this move cost me $1,000. Between the random 3rd man up charge , wrapping items for the large furniture , fuel charge , insurance that they make you cover that they don't disclose until the last minute that is almost $200 additional ... 8. Moved my items into the hallway, and left them there unattended while moving. 9. Even if you pay by phone, they want you to write your credit card information on a random piece of paper. It's a hard NO, for me. Yes, I signed, and let them go about their business. It's exhausting to keep debating obvious discrepancies, and hidden fees during a move which is a top 3 stressor in general. Just .... Don't . Use someone else .

All My Sons Moving - Virginia North…read more This moving company needs to be investigated for fraud or deceptive business practices. I booked my move a week in advance and paid a $100 deposit after being told it would guarantee my moving date and secure my spot. Then, only 3 days before my scheduled move, the manager -- I believe his name was David -- called to tell me they were fully booked for the entire week and that my move would either need to be rescheduled or canceled altogether. I made it very clear from the beginning that my apartment lease ends on the 31st and that I needed to move before then. Had this company been honest about the fact that paying a deposit did not actually guarantee service, I would have hired another moving company much earlier. Now I'm left scrambling at the last minute, despite having everything planned out. I also have to report to work in another state on the 1st, so this has created a major inconvenience and unnecessary stress. To make matters worse, speaking with them on the phone was a complete disaster. The communication was unprofessional, disorganized, and unacceptable. They agreed to refund the $100 deposit, but that does not make up for the inconvenience, stress, and potential consequences this situation may cause me. If I receive penalties from my landlord for a late move-out or face any employment-related consequences because of this company's failure to honor their commitment, I will absolutely be exploring all possible legal and consumer protection options.

If zero stars were possible, that's what I would give…read more Mama's Movers of Martinsburg turned what should have been a joyful move into a heartbreaking and exhausting ordeal. We hired them to pack, move, assemble furniture at our new home, and clean our previous residence. They toured our townhouse in person, confidently assured us they could "handle everything easily" for $3,000 total, and had my husband pay $1,000 up front to reserve the job. When they showed up 45 minutes late on Wednesday to begin packing, they suddenly added extra, unexpected charges--like $150 for a truck--and insisted on being paid the entire $3,550 up front through Zelle before continuing. My husband and I trusted them and paid in full. That was the last time things went smoothly. Day 1 - Packing: They worked about four hours and left early. The owner later apologized, saying they "had to move a piano" but promised to finish everything the next day. Day 2 - Moving (Thursday): They arrived an hour late again, spent most of the day still packing, and finally moved one truckload of our belongings that evening. They didn't assemble anything except our bed--after asking if they "really had to"--and promised to return first thing Friday morning to finish assembling our desks, furniture, and TVs, and to clean the old home. They never came back. By 6:30 p.m. Friday, after waiting all day, we learned they had taken another job but would come after 5 p.m. That didn't happen. They then promised to come Saturday at 8:30 a.m. to finally complete our Wednesday packing and Thursday move. It's now Saturday noon, and we're still waiting. During the move, they broke the decorative drawer front on our master bathroom vanity--a false drawer meant only for design--and tried to tape it back on with packing tape without telling us. My work laptop no longer powers on since the move, forcing us to spend several thousand dollars to replace it. At our previous home, they left eight bags of trash piled in the garage and told us afterward that they don't clean walls or carpets. We were never told that beforehand. If we had known, we would have hired a separate company to handle it properly. Instead, we were charged for a "move-out clean" that wasn't truly complete. They even used our own cleaning supplies and overfilled our vacuum with debris, damaging it in the process. It seemed that once they realized they had broken our vacuum, they gave up on finishing the carpets altogether. To make matters worse, we found two sticks of butter smashed into the yard, even though we had told them not to move any food and our refrigerator was still full. My 73-year-old mother-in-law slipped on that butter, fell, and cut her arm badly enough to bleed. She could have been seriously injured. My husband is a disabled veteran, and I am bedridden, so we were counting on this company to do what they promised. Instead, they took our money, broke their word, damaged our property, and disappeared. When I left a factual Google review hoping they would take accountability or simply make things right, the owner personally attacked me online--mocking my character, honesty, and intelligence--instead of apologizing or sending her crew back to finish the work. Even after everything, I would still delete this review and write a positive one if the owner simply apologized and sent her workers to complete the job we paid for. But it's clear she has no intention of doing so. Mama's Movers of Martinsburg showed dishonesty, negligence, and a complete lack of professionalism. They took advantage of a disabled veteran, a bedridden customer, and an elderly family member who could have been seriously hurt. If you value honesty, respect, and your family's safety--do not hire Mama's Movers of Martinsburg.

Please don't use this company! We chose this company for a local move in West Virginia (50 miles…read moreround trip). Beware they will quote you a really low price to get your business and then take their time loading so you end up paying them just as much as any other company. It's not worth it. Just go with the bigger name company you know you can trust. We rented the UHaul and did all the packing. All the movers needed to do was disassemble some furniture and load the furniture and boxes into the 26 foot truck. Seems simple enough, but these guys are so disorganized that it took them longer to disassemble furniture than it would have taken us to do it ourselves. It took them longer than expected to load up so I was promised an additional mover during unloading so they could finish faster. Well, the additional mover did not show up. They moved so slowly that my husband decided to assemble our master bed on move in day so we could actually go to sleep at a reasonable hour. On top of all this, they actually lost pieces to one of our child's cribs, and were unable to assemble it on the day we moved in. They agreed to purchase replacement parts and come back the next day to assemble the crib. They did come back the next day, but the pieces they purchased didn't fit the crib. After trying to get the crib together for about an hour without any luck, they had to leave to go to their next job without any intention of coming back. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. I contacted the owner who acted like it was no big deal. She stated the parts were in our house somewhere, we just have to find them. The movers couldn't even tell me where they put the parts! How can she expect us to find them? This is a complete lack of accountability on the company's part. There also seems to be some sketchy stuff going on with this company. They aren't registered with the Department of Transportation like West Virginia requires them to be, and when we requested a copy of our signed contract, I didn't hear back. I will be pursuing other action against this company. No one should be treated like this. We would never hire these movers again. Please do yourself a favor and hire someone else. This company deserves to be put out of business. They don't deserve your money.

We had a short move from the Chantilly area to Leesburg and wanted a local team. My wife researched…read morereviews carefully and Prince stood out a little better than some close competition. Their price was competitive with the competition and what we thought was very fair for a whole house move. We are super glad we went with Prince because the crew was unbelievable. Carlos ran the crew and was so professional and courteous. All floors/stairs were covered. Marvin, Omar and Jeff were all hard-working and got everything done quickly like clockwork. All furniture was covered and protected. If we asked for anything to be placed in a different place or requested changes there was only one answer: No problem - with a smile! I honestly didn't think customer service like that existed anymore. I consider myself a tough reviewer, I can't believe myself how glowing this review is but they were that good.

From my initial telephone contact with Karey and our video walk through with Jon I was very impressed. Likewise, I was very pleased with the initial cost estimate that was provided to us. We did our due diligence and obtained two other estimates, both higher than the one from Prince. In fact, one was twice as high. We were a bit concerned about the great disparity. However, having been impressed with Karey and Jon and reading about the fundamental principles of their business we elected to go with Prince. I cannot say enough about the crew that handled our move. They called ahead of time to advise they were on the way - and on time ! Carlo, the team leader, was polite, responsive to our requests, flexible to add on a few things we needed to move, and his supervision of the other three members of the crew : Omar, Jeff and Mario. The care that the entire crew gave to our furniture, including some large, heavy wood pieces with glass shelves and doors, was extraordinary. The move was handled efficiently, effectively and expeditiously. Nothing was damaged ! The crew was great in moving things around to get them in the correct location. We were very pleased ! I must point out that this move was so well handled from initial contact to the crew departing our new home And it was accomplished UNDER BUDGET !! Kudos to the entire Prince team. We are grateful. They had me inspect the truck once they were done just to ensure all of my belongings were out, and took care of the bill, which was exactly the rate we had agreed upon during scheduling. We also told them ahead of time we're in a townhouse with 3 flights of stairs and all the main furniture we needed to move (we did all the small and fragile items ourselves since we're moving 25 mins away). No lamps or dishes or decor. Literally boxes and furniture that was too heavy for us. We moved from a 1600sqft townhouse with 3 rooms.. I don't understand.l how this was such an insurmountable task. They spent 4 hours just in our 2 upstairs bedrooms which included standard items (king bed, 2 side tables, wardrobe, small dresser, daybed and 2 unassembled cribs) a lot of which we had shrink wrapped ourselves. They stood around wondering what the best way to get things downstairs was so my husband who was very frustrated by their pace just started doing it himself and exhausting himself which was why we hired them in the first place. 4 grown men who's job it is to move things should know how to do this. Our property isn't unique for Nova so I'm not sure where the confusion came from. We have 2 small kids and did a lot of the work to get things done for them but somehow these guys stretched it to an 11 hour day because gotta make that cash, right?! Then at the end My husband asked them to wait so he could double check if anything big was left and when he noticed they left a whole big tv box on our top level, they were driving away. Didn't even listen to him and had the nerve to say they would charge him for the box if we kept it. What?!! Soo much stuff was left for us after they left and they didn't put a single piece of furniture in the right place at our new house. We said "in the corner" and they put it 2 feet from the corner...moving with kids we have exhausted ourselves beyond belief getting moved and these people made the journey not only expensive but soooo very difficult. We had to go back and move extra thigh and clean for a few hours.. very stressful. Major waste and would absolutely never recommend them. Insane amount of up charges ($400 worth of tape as though they don't buy it in bulk). Never again! Our new house is a tornado of things none of which are in the right place and I'm so upset and overwhelmed. What's hilarious is that they wrapped everything like crazy but still broke a wheel from our fridge and just said "oh". No apologies, no offer to fix it, no we can take off something for you... nothing. Then $3000 later they asked if we wanted to tip on top of this nightmare of an experience...very bold, but the only tip I can offer is "Do better. Much better"
