The guy working behind the counter said they accept credit card but wouldn't allow me to use my card because he says he saw "hundreds of dollars in my wallet" when I opened it. I told him I need this cash for later and I would like to pay with card if that's okay. He then pulls the card reader away and says "no I need your cash" to which I replied why are you counting the money in my wallet? It's none of your business. Very strange behavior here. I called the next day to inform the manager and she defended his behavior also. From the top down this place is in terrible shape. I think this may have even been a case of racial discrimination to maybe get me out of the store. The problem wasn't the young hostess but it was the manager. I was on hold for almost 20 minutes, the time it took us to get there.. the young girl apologized and the manager turned from the back and snapped saying well we were busy and probably forgot. First, thats not how you talk to a customer with all that attitude. I went on to order and everything was fine. There was no disrespect between the young worker and I. I even thanked her for the water cups and pup water bowl outside as well as the 20% off. We proceeded to wait outside for our food, I went inside to ask for the propane heater to be turned on and the young girl said she'll go ask. Within 2 minutes the manager barges out while I was seated and starts saying rudely that shes a 14 year old and I'm making her scared and shes been crying all day and they're busy in there. And I'm sitting there ??? , I began to tell her that there is literally no problem between her and I and she raised her voice saying that I'm a grown woman and this and that. When I had every right as a customer to question why I was on hold and forgotten about. We asked for the owners number because at this point there was no use to argue with the manager. But the manager kept going at it with us and saying we were rude, and that she'll give us our money back. She refunded us but kept yelling at us telling us that the owner is on the phone and can hear everything. As we were leaving she was saying she'll slap my partner. We were walking away and this teen kid delivery guy that works there was laughing at us and saying that he'll fight us. I called the owner right away and told her what happened and she said she'll call me back before she can answer. Interestingly, the manager said the owner was on the phone the whole time and heard everything but the owner didn't say that to me. It's been 30 minutes and I haven't heard. We sure are glad we stopped in at Extreme Pizza. There's plenty of parking in the shopping plaza, which is convenient. When we got there, there was only one other table occupied because we came in between lunch and dinner. The other group seemed like they were having a blast eating pizza and doing a fantasy football draft. A great place for friends! We were hungry and not from the area. When we are on Country Connection Bus Route 21 we always pass this place. It next to Starbucks, The Kitchen and Ace Hardware Store. The place is clean and nice. It seem more of a bar and sport theme. The kid that service us was so shy and sweet very careful too. Wish we had cash to tip him. The pizza was just average and typical pepperoni pizza. I was extremely confuse with the menu so it seem like I pick up more of create your own pizza. The sauce on the pizza reminds me of pasta sauce. It was ok pizza. It was a quick bit. A great place to sit outside right off of the Iron horse Trail. We bike very often along the trail and this is perfect stop to make in the shade and sit outside and enjoy one of their many beers on tap or a glass of wine. We ordered their Yard Sale individual pizza and it was simply delicious! We had to take some home because we couldn't finish the whole pie! It's the day before Christmas Eve and you're going to be rude to your customers? I ordered online w a coupon and they had trouble ringing up the amount when I got there- it's ok it happens and I didn't blame the issue on them I was patient and understand.... but wait.... We've tried Extreme Pizza a few times since moving to Alamo. I love pizza, especially really good pizza. There are a lot of pizza shops but not a lot of really (I mean really) good pizza. This is one of those few pizza places that just does pizza right. They have a really good and varied selection .... try the Pandora's Box, one of my favorites with spinach, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, feta, garlic, fresh basil, oregano, and mozzarella. Yes. I just gave 5 stars. I never give 5 stars. Secondly: the pizza is good to superior on a regular basis. Slices are cooked to order, large, and loaded with toppings. Full pies are similarly delicious. Thirdly: this is a heckuva Taproom. The downlow but hella good Taproom. Great selection, fair prices, great Happy Hour, cool tap takeovers. Firstly: the people here are great. They understand service, food and are pretty chill. I've never had any issues. When there was a problem it was no problem as they insisted on going way the hell out of the way to make it right despite my protestations that it was okay. I remember there being a chain of Extreme Pizza's but this place is nothing like I had experienced before. You order just one pizza slice and it's as big as your head. It's so awesome. And the crust is so crispy and the cheese so damn cheesy. And the red sauce...divine. Also the chicken wings are extra crispy, paired up with some nice ranch dressing . Mendy stayed open for us a little later. And she made everything super quick, and she was clam, clever, witty, and had a pinch of sassy sarcasm, which I loved. She had us laughing hella hard. Also they have a great selection of beers. Like I could have very well been at a tap room. They had like 20 beers and ciders to choose from. And you have the option to get a 16oz or 20oz, I haven't seen this before! So of course I got the 20oz. My hands looked so small carting my biga$$ pizza and my giant beer. Very good pizza. We ordered The Boar'der (get it, "boar" because it has pig-meat?). This pie has shredded pork marinated in a sweet BBQ sauce, red onions, fresh cilantro, cheddar and mozzarella. Gluten Free! After having a hankering for some pizza, my hubby and I decided to try Extreme Pizza since they offer Gluten Free and I'm on a gluten free diet. When I called the gentleman who answered was very friendly and helpful. We ordered a medium gluten free pizza and buffalo (boneless) hot wings. The pizza was delicious and the crust (gluten free) was so good! The wings were good- not spectacular, but the pizza made up for it. My hubby mentioned they have happy hour and play fights (sports, etc...) during the week with specials, so that's a plus! This place keeps getting better and better. Again, this year they supported my son's elementary school so we had to go. Ordered cheese pizza for the kids (as always), spinach salad with Thai dressing on the side, and a Peace in the Middle East for us grown-ups and as an alternative to the White out. Both pizzas were on their whole wheat crust and I requested no mozzarella (only Feta) on the grownup pizza. They were happy to accommodate me. Seriously, delicious food. Their whole wheat crust is very good. The combination of toppings on the Peace in the Middle East was perfect. Kids loved the cheese pizza (though you could put cheese on a cracker, call it a pizza, and they would be happy and I often do). Most of all, we were blown away by the spinach salad. A surprisingly high quality and delicious salad complete with caramelized onions and nuts. Mmm. The Thai dressing was too sweet for me, but it was on the side. The worst pizza in Alamo and Danville (and I have been coming here for the last two years-- and it continues to degrade to this latest pie). Ordered the Mont Blanc and substituted the white sauce for red sauce. Pizza showed up via delivery (one hour+) and the pizza was piss poor. It was oblong like an egg in shape, cut into odd sized pieces, and lacking any toppings. The crust was cardboard gross. I have had better pizza at the county fair in Pleasanton. I called to complain and they stated "that is how they make their pies"? I will never visit Extreme Pizza ever again "ugggh". Oh, it cost me $26 with a two dollar tip in addition. A complete waste of money for what I received. Avoid at all cost as it is not much better than making a Boboli pizza at home on your own. They may support local schools, but anyone who is looking for quality pizza will be disappointed. Would consider trying again to support sweet Alamo.
