This old time diner sits in the middle of town in Alamo. There's some seating outside, and inside has some tables and counter seating as well. We were seated with a great view of the grill, and I was impressed that they use real eggs, and their home fries are from unfrozen potatoes. The staff is very friendly, and treat everyone like regulars. Their menu is mostly breakfast and sandwiches. Their pancakes are fluffy with a slight chewiness that's just perfect. What we ordered: + Paisano special - this included 2 pancakes, 3 eggs, home fries, and 2 linguicas. Their home fries are addicting. Everything was tasty. + Alamo pleaser - this included 1 pancake, 1 egg, and 2 sausages (or bacon). Everything was delicious. My only complaint is their scrambled eggs are flat. It would be nicer if they were broken up a bit during cooking to fluff them up. Overall, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast here.

Cute and cozy diner located off of a VERY small street in Alamo; parking is the number one obstacle here, and the restaurant's lack of a restroom is the second. Stopped in with my family, and despite the inconveniences we all enjoyed our meals and look forward to coming back! The Eggs Benedict here was one of my favorites that I've ever had- instead of thick cut ham, the ham was shredded which made it evenly cover the benny (now I'll struggle to have it any other way!). My husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak burrito, and he had zero complaints (which in itself speaks volumes!). Our waitress was SO sweet, and it was awesome to see a woman behind the grill in the kitchen. We will stop in again-- although next time, I'll ensure my family completes potty breaks before visiting... it was a long walk for my mother in law to the nearest gas station.

This is a cute coffee shop that is all American food. It is a small restaurant compared to others that has about 4-5 tables inside along with bar top that wraps around the kitchen. I ordered chicken fried steak with gravy and eggs potatoes. I liked it a lot it tasted like an all American breakfast meal. The staff and service were great. I love their coffee and always refilling it. The pricing was fair overall. I would recommend. They do not have a bathroom for customers.

This is is great the service is great I ordered the chicken fried steak and my wife order the huevos ranchero she's a bit dissatisfied with her order it was supposed to come with beef and all she got is just beef the reason I'm giving this 4 star rating it's because the service good and the chicken steak and the pancake is good.

Best place for breakfast in the east bay and probably further. Breakfast potatoes are amazing.

We opted to not sit outside, rather inside right by the exterior seating to still get the vibes but also some AC. I love places like Lafayette where all the businesses support each other and help each other grow. Their brews on tap are mostly all local, and we grabbed some Pilsners sourced from Lafayette's new brewery, Western Flyer. So fresh and crisp. Can't wait to also check that spot out. Food-wise, we came in mid-afternoon and grabbed a Kale Pancetta salad (they pre-split the salad for us on two plates which was so nice), and for the mains, we both grabbed the Tuna Melt with fries. The salad was delicious. I'm def a tuna melt girly, and I loved the addition of the ciabatta (?) as the bread option, so fresh as well. This tuna melt comes with grapes fyi, and a few other elements mixed in. I absolutely loved it, just sharing though as I know how some tuna stans like their tuna :) This spot is clean, spacious, and perfectly situated in walking distance downtown. Would love to come back for brunch with a group of friends, or even again during the upcoming Lafayette Art & Wine Fest. Food is good, service is quick and friendly, and vibes are right. Metered parking located across the street.

I'm glad it did because she said there were a lot of people waiting outside at the PH location. By the time we made it to WC, our tables were ready. The staff was very inviting and friendly. The person who took care of us was very helpful with explaining menu items and making suggestions. We were a large party so they had to split our tables but we were right to each other. There is a spacious dining area as well as outdoor seating. Standout dishes: Chicken & waffle - BIG portion. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. It was so good, the entire plate was wiped clean. Crispy chicken with garlic noodles - delicious combination. The garlic noodles were made with real garlic, not just powder. They need to offer this as a side dish. Chicken pops - chopped up, sample size version of the chicken and waffles. Perfect for sharing. We will definitely come back to this location if we're in the area.

I have nothing to say about the service because it was wonderful Marissa or Melissa I'm so sorry it was so loud so I had a hard time hearing your name you were amazing as was everyone else helping you. I had planned on ordering the same exact thing I usually do which I would be the zucchini fries, crab cake, scallops over risotto, and the veal Marsala. Today I convinced my boyfriend that we should try one new dish we were pleasantly surprised by the prime rib dip and utterly disappointed about our scallops. I came back to rave about your take of the pina colada non alcoholic beverage it was soooo good and refreshing. I always get the crab cake and the zucchini fries which are always a hit! Both sauces to accompany the dishes pair so well!! Both fresh and bright to complement the fried elements. We decided on trying a new dish and the prime rib dip with the cheese and caramelized onions with an upgrade to truffle fries bomb. It came with ketchup, some horseradish, and another creamy sauce which was yummy and tasted bright. I really came to write about how sad I was to receive my scallops over risotto which couldn't even be called risotto. I always order this at every location and this would be my second time here and it did not deliver like it did the previous times. It was clumpy rice with a little bit of cheese at best. What a bummer to pay almost $50 for a few scallops when I know they make this dish phenomenally. My other complaint is how come the dip wasn't packed to go with my prime rib dip sandwich? I was sad the horseradish didn't come home with us but without the dip is almost criminal. Same for our zucchini fries that elevates the fries so much!!!

The bread is outstanding, akin to a baguette with its crusty outside and plush interior. I wonder if they bake it fresh in house, what with the bread arriving steaming and hot to the touch. The oil that accompanies it is spectacular too, perfectly acidic with the balsamic vinegar contrasted by the acrid olive oil. All entrees are delicious though not the best in show by any means. For a casual restaurant though, the libations have no business being that delicious. I had an old fashioned, something of a go-to as of late. Leaves nothing to be desired. Truly just an archetype old fashioned, a symphony of bitters and whiskey. Dessert at the end was tiramisu, which was a good tiramisu. Such is expected at an Italian spot though.
