Everyone is really nice, especially our waitress Bella! Everything we ate was great! -Maddie, age 7 :)

Cute and cozy diner located off of a VERY small street in Alamo; parking is the number one obstacle here, and the restaurant's lack of a restroom is the second. Stopped in with my family, and despite the inconveniences we all enjoyed our meals and look forward to coming back! The Eggs Benedict here was one of my favorites that I've ever had- instead of thick cut ham, the ham was shredded which made it evenly cover the benny (now I'll struggle to have it any other way!). My husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak burrito, and he had zero complaints (which in itself speaks volumes!). Our waitress was SO sweet, and it was awesome to see a woman behind the grill in the kitchen. We will stop in again-- although next time, I'll ensure my family completes potty breaks before visiting... it was a long walk for my mother in law to the nearest gas station.

This is a cute coffee shop that is all American food. It is a small restaurant compared to others that has about 4-5 tables inside along with bar top that wraps around the kitchen. I ordered chicken fried steak with gravy and eggs potatoes. I liked it a lot it tasted like an all American breakfast meal. The staff and service were great. I love their coffee and always refilling it. The pricing was fair overall. I would recommend. They do not have a bathroom for customers.

This is is great the service is great I ordered the chicken fried steak and my wife order the huevos ranchero she's a bit dissatisfied with her order it was supposed to come with beef and all she got is just beef the reason I'm giving this 4 star rating it's because the service good and the chicken steak and the pancake is good.

Family was in town for the weekend so we decided to drive here for breakfast. I just wanna say that the staff are super friendly and really did a great job at coming to check on us often to see if we needed refills on anything. However, the food was just eh. As you can tell from the photo, the potatoes just look sad. They were slightly burnt and tasted stale with absolutely no seasoning. The eggs Benedict was just not good. Idk how to describe it but what I can say is all I tasted was the bread lol. I don't think I would be back based on the food. But it does appear that most of the people who return are regulars and I assume it's based on the service which is why I added another star. But on the culinary side, there needs to be some improvements.

Open face blue cheese hamburger... Tasty!

We were about the third customer when we arrived but by the time we left the place was packed - and again, there was one waitress. No bus boy, no cashier, just her. Don't get me wrong, the young lady was doing her best, and always with a smile and warm greeting for those walking in, but it was very clear she needed help. As we were leaving an older gentleman picked up a bin and started bussing tables. Clearly, they need two servers and a bus boy for the lunch rush. It is like that most times I am there. The food is great, well worth a visit.

To be fair, it has just changed ownership in the past couple of weeks. However, these new owners say they have had other restaurants. It doesn't feel like it. I've tried twice. Once for a lunch shrimp salad with dressing on the side and bread. Some of the chopped lettuce was brown around the edges. The dressing was not on the side but glopped allover the salad - way too much cheap bottled dressing. My bread came as almost toast about time for dessert. The service was sloooow and indifferent. The second time was today for a try at breakfast. The service was faster, but just as indifferent and careless. I did get to overhear the server go on at great length to her friend about her college(?) research project. I ordered scramble eggs with potatoes and toast. The extras in the scramble were good - bacon, tomatoes, spinach and cheese. The eggs were hard and brown. The hash browns started the day as a frozen slab of shredded potatoes that got fried to about 2 seconds short of burnt. The bill for this breakfast was $25.00 with coffee. (Yes. A little on the high side given the poor quality.) I initially tried to pay with cash - two $20.00's. The server said she couldn't make change. This is a half hour before lunch service started, when the cash register should be full and ready for business. Note: A regular server who provides terrific service was not working either of my two visits with the new management. That area could improve when she is there. Perhaps give this spot a miss, at least for a while - maybe until they get a handle on running a restaurant.

Breakfast was okay imo. Nothing special. It came with muffins and roasted potatoes. Grilled cheese with fries were on kids menu option. This is not something for one kid to eat. Large portions. Another lovely presentation! The ratio of Spam to rice to seaweed was balanced and came with a tasty sauce drizzled overtop and a different one on the side. For brunch entrees, we had the ube waffles (one as is and one with chicken katsu), the kalua pork breakfast sandwich? And the poke bowl. The ube waffles are unique and delicious! They are topped with whipped cream, ube syrup, and a fresh fruit salsa; all complemented the waffles well. The chicken katsu was perfectly coated in panko and fried well. The poke was refreshing and came with crunchy pickled vegetables, edamame, and avocado; which was a healthy and tasty brunch dish! The Kalua pork breakfast sandwich was hearty and savory, and the potato salad completed the plate nicely. We finished our meal with the Hula pie. Must get, even if you don't have room! The food came quickly and hot from the kitchen - except the salad and desserts! The food was very tasty, and the pear quesadilla and fondue were favorites for the uniqueness and the taste. The fondue had sliced pears along with the bread, a great change in the usual fondue take. The salad was also liked, fresh and a good variety of tastes and textures. They subbed the dressing for ranch. The desertas were also a hit, being shared. The warm pear tart was best liked, and very sweet and traditional in taste, but the bread pudding was also a close second. The pear tart was new to us, though.
