    Bad Pizza

This pizza is horrible! They have a well intentioned young staff, but they know nothing about making a quality pizza. Absolutely NOTHING. Basic pizza making training is needed immediately.

Disappointing cheese stick from extreme pizza.

I was here last week. I have to say that it's not quite how I remember it. Extreme pizza was one of my favorite pizza places, but what they gave me last week left me a little disappointed. I stopped by at the end of work around 7:00. I liked that there weren't many people in there, and they had the bloopers and fight tv up on the walls. It might be under new management because the people there serving didn't look familiar from previous visits. I ordered the usual. The railroad slice "2 slices of pizza" and 2 twisted garlic cheese sticks. I didn't have to wait very long for the order. They started making it just as I finished paying. It was reasonably priced. I received two very toasted hard bread "nubs" not stick. I actually picked one of them up and hit it against the place and it made a knocking sound. It wasn't like I remember. The previous garlic cheese sticks were way way better. They were actually twisted with garlic sprinkled all over. They had the taste of beer batter or yeast and they were soft doughy and cheesy. What I got instead were just these sad 6" burnt crusty crunchy nubs. See the sad images attached. They use to make them long and twisty, but now the staff is probably cutting corners and sacrificing quality to stay afloat. The pizza: again, this could have been done much better like in the old times. This railroad slice was crunchy. Not pliable or foldable, it made a crunch when I bit into it, felt like it was way over cooked crust but the toppings were ok. This could just be my preference, but I much prefer a pizza that has a softer dough/crust. I hope it goes back to how it was.

Five cheers for Xtreme. We called at one minute past opening... Ordered five pizzas... And these guys delivered, we picked them up-

The name of this nondescript takeout operation is actually its address on Macdonald Avenue. Ironically, the most popular place to eat in this neighborhood is McDonald's. I barely found it because it looks like a vacant storefront with a For Lease sign. A red OPEN sign was the only giveaway. I happened to read that this place offers some excellent Korean-style dishes. I think the menu can be more accurately described as global. It's apparently a mother-and-son business with the kitchen run by a Korean-American chef named Daniel who doesn't share his last name. His mother works the front of the house, and people order beforehand and come in for pick up. There's a community table presumably set up for dining, but the space felt more like a dental waiting area. Through the order window, I could see Daniel way in the back beyond a passthrough. I used their QR code to review the menu and order on the spot. All the entrees appeared enticing including Grilled Short Rib and Fried Pitman Farms Chicken. I chose the $24.50 Market Grain Salad. It was beautifully presented even in a takeout box (Photo 9). There was a mix of arugula, iceberg, romaine, and Treviso radicchio at the base topped with visual jewels: Fuji apple, Sonia Rojas cara cara orange, blood orange, mandarin orange, muscat grapes, and avocado. Further toppings included spring onion., tarragon, sunflower seeds, English cucumber, heirloom carrots, and French breakfast radish. Farro, red quinoa, and French feta cheese added more layers of flavor and texture. Harissa grilled Pitman Farms chicken provided a succulent serving of protein, and a unique sesame soy lemon chili dressing finished off a masterful creation. It was an impeccable salad. The $11 Skin On Gaufrette Fries were cross-cut and impossibly tender with a tasty dipping sauce (Photo 6). A genuine winner!
