Of course, I would have preferred brand-name replacements, but I felt this was a fair resolution and decided to move forward. To their credit, Manuel, Brandon, and the service team at CarMax Burbank handled my concerns professionally, and I appreciate that management ultimately chose to make it right. My constructive suggestion is simple: CarMax should clarify the tire standards listed under its 125-point inspection so they accurately reflect the measurement process being used. That would help prevent unnecessary confusion for future customers. I'd also strongly recommend that anyone purchasing a vehicle take detailed photos of the car on the day of purchase, and again before any service visit, in case questions come up later.

They even arranged for me to pick up the check at a Bidlane location closer to my house. These extra add-ons were done out of the kindness of their hearts, and around a complicated probate hurdles put up by Toyota. Carvana offered me about $3,000 more than CarMax and other competitors, which was a huge difference. The estimate process was also much easier. With CarMax, I felt like they were just lowballing the value of my car. With Carvana, everything was straightforward. You simply enter your car information on the website, get your offer, and once you're happy with the price, you upload a few documents and schedule either a pickup or a drop-off at a nearby Carvana location. At first, I was a little worried that Carvana would be very strict during the inspection. But I was pleasantly surprised. The entire inspection took less than 10 minutes! After the inspection, the employee came back into the office and printed out the DMV paperwork. I just scanned the QR code and filled out the information needed to release the title. As a long-time, loyal customer, I was hoping there might be some kind of courtesy or discount just to determine what the issue was.
