Apogee has it all. Beer aficionado class beer. Great neighborhood, local watering hole feel. Live music, vinyl music night, trivia night, beer club, great audio/visual set up for sports and my personal favorite service - dog friendly and I mean very dog friendly and that's assuming your dog likes other dogs, people and kids. And the service is the best! Especially when Jen is working. Wink, wink...Love this place.

Great beer!!! Wouldn't expect anything else from a bunch of engineers. A great addition to the Pismo area happy they've settled into a spot that has seen a few breweries come and go. This is definitely one of my favorite places to hang out. You can't beat aerospace engineers brewing their own brews! You know they will do it right and they sure do!!! You can't go wrong with any beer. Atmosphere is chill and you can relax to local small bands in the weekends. The staff is all friendly and easy going. A brewmaster is almost always on site as well. You won't be disappointed with Apogees!

Appreciated the nerdy space/sci-fi themes (my alter-ego The Audio Astronaut should play a gig there!), the small, cozy space, and the fact that they do taster-sized pours and flights (most of the breweries around here don't seem to!) I also appreciate that they do a variety of styles, including Belgian which is what lured me in to begin with... however, some of the flavor profiles are inbalanced and not quite right for the styles (the Belgians and saison lacked the bready yeast and fruity, spicy esters I expected)... the lighter, more traditional styles are better hete (the kolsch was pretty good.)

A nice, compact brewery with many Belgian style beers to try. They have a great light Belgian! The brewery won the best brewery of 2024 in GABF, what an accomplishment for a small town brewery! They also have crowlers to go. The service was great too! She walked us through our flight selection. Definitely recommend this brewery whenever you're in town. read more

Great time as always! Chucky one of the bartenders is always on point. Everyone here always has a great attitude and loves and appreciates people that walk in. It's nice to be appreciated as a customer. You can bring your own food or have Grubhub deliver which is always a plus. It's always a good time here. My husband and I love coming here. We are regulars here now. Everyone is so friendly and the bartenders are amazing! The beers are great too! I love that we can bring our children without judgement. The ambiance is also nice, music and games to play. read more

My friend P (who lives in SLO) wanted to check this place out after he, I, and another buddy had a cocktail on the pier in Avila Bay. He had never been here and was curious; and as out-of-towners who were we to argue? Kind of a strip mall vibe here; it was shoehorned in next to an organic food shop. It had a small interior, which on a Saturday was packed full of middle-aged men. (At least we didn't stand out). Plus there was a very bare-bones, canopied exterior in the parking lot (I'm guessing it was a hurried build-out during covid). The one staff member behind the bar was amiable and served us right away. No food here, but you can bring it in; the usual arrangement. As for the beers, I had the session IPA. It was decent. My friend P got the blonde ale and was unimpressed. My friend J had a stout (or was it a porter?) and said it was "OK." We decided one was enough here; and we moved on. Not much else to say. This local brewery is like my Cheers. Warning, it's difficult to go in for a one and done because the beer is amazing, plus the patrons and staff are seriously the best. They get great bands and host fun events. They don't have food but we get food delivered. Honestly, I like that because it gives variety. read more

We stumbled upon this small brewery with a large and delicious space-themed beer selection while waiting for a dinner reservation nearby. Such friendly service and laid-back atmosphere with TVs and board games. We all loved it. Give them a visit if you can! read more

This was my 3rd time coming to Blast 825 Brewery and this time was the best…read more Tonight me and wifey went on a double date with some good friends and chose this spot specifically for the beer, food and of course the Dodger game that was on tonight. We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza which was surprisingly delicious and the wife ordered a beer. We sat in the bar area and I decided to go with the self pour option where they give you a card to tap a sensor and select any beer on tap to pour yourself. Me and a buddy of mine had some issues with a few of the self pour taps where we just believed they were out of beer and it also over charged us. I told a server about my single issue where it over charged me and he said he would take care of it but my friend had the worst of luck. 2/3 beers he attempted to pour were simply out. This was when Jess, our savior came to the rescue. When it was time to pay the tab, she comped both of our orders. Mind you, I had 4 beers. Guess what the total was? Yeah, $28. Paid for my wife's beer and our pizza and because I had a single complication with the beer self pour station, she comped the 4 beers I had as well as my friend's order. This is Grade A customer service and a reason why I'd return to Blast 825 Brewery, so shoutout to Jess! We all appreciate you.

While I had high hopes for a good meal, the experience was significantly marred by several issues: Poor Service: We were largely ignored, with staff failing to address requests. It took 25 minutes to be asked what we were drinking, and another 20 minutes for two beers to arrive Food Quality Issues: The food served was of low quality, specifically corn rib appetizer were ice cold , the tri-tip was very over cooked and was difficult to chew. My wife ordered the orcutt hill salad entree. The salad was missing two ingredients. Prosciutto and candied pecans. When asked about it the waitress said I will bring you some. She brought a cup of smoked ham, not prosciutto. She indicated that the kitchen was out of candied pecans. Don't you think that should be disclosed to the customer before ordering ? The salad was small, not an entree size. When we asked about seeing a manager, we got a bill with a neighborhood 15% reduction. When asked about that, I was told, that's all the manager is willing to do. Really ? I hope you take this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future guests. You could just apologize for the inconvenience and the misunderstanding and be more consistent with your rules in the future so situations like this don't occur.
