Apogee has it all. Beer aficionado class beer. Great neighborhood, local watering hole feel. Live music, vinyl music night, trivia night, beer club, great audio/visual set up for sports and my personal favorite service - dog friendly and I mean very dog friendly and that's assuming your dog likes other dogs, people and kids. Tried a couple beers here and they were all great but my favorite was their blonde ale. There is a descent amount of seating inside but they also have a setup outside with cover. I didn't get his name but the guy working there had a great attitude and has energy for days. They have a space theme which looks pretty cool. They are dog friendly so you can bring your pup if you'd like to. read more

Great beer!!! Wouldn't expect anything else from a bunch of engineers. A great addition to the Pismo area happy they've settled into a spot that has seen a few breweries come and go. My friend P (who lives in SLO) wanted to check this place out after he, I, and another buddy had a cocktail on the pier in Avila Bay. He had never been here and was curious; and as out-of-towners who were we to argue? Kind of a strip mall vibe here; it was shoehorned in next to an organic food shop. It had a small interior, which on a Saturday was packed full of middle-aged men. (At least we didn't stand out). Plus there was a very bare-bones, canopied exterior in the parking lot (I'm guessing it was a hurried build-out during covid). The one staff member behind the bar was amiable and served us right away. No food here, but you can bring it in; the usual arrangement. As for the beers, I had the session IPA. It was decent. My friend P got the blonde ale and was unimpressed. My friend J had a stout (or was it a porter?) and said it was "OK." We decided one was enough here; and we moved on. Not much else to say. This is definitely one of my favorite places to hang out. You can't beat aerospace engineers brewing their own brews! You know they will do it right and they sure do!!! You can't go wrong with any beer. Atmosphere is chill and you can relax to local small bands in the weekends. The staff is all friendly and easy going. A brewmaster is almost always on site as well. Appreciated the nerdy space/sci-fi themes (my alter-ego The Audio Astronaut should play a gig there!), the small, cozy space, and the fact that they do taster-sized pours and flights (most of the breweries around here don't seem to!) I also appreciate that they do a variety of styles, including Belgian which is what lured me in to begin with... however, some of the flavor profiles are inbalanced and not quite right for the styles (the Belgians and saison lacked the bready yeast and fruity, spicy esters I expected)... the lighter, more traditional styles are better hete (the kolsch was pretty good.) read more

This local brewery is like my Cheers. Warning, it's difficult to go in for a one and done because the beer is amazing, plus the patrons and staff are seriously the best. They get great bands and host fun events. They don't have food but we get food delivered. Honestly, I like that because it gives variety. read more
