Trying lashes for the first time and my husband booked me a Groupon. I called and made an appointment for the next day. I wanted natural lashes as it's my first time and they did not disappoint. My lashes look natural as if I don't have any on and I love them. The place is very clean with refreshments in the front. They play soothing music as well. I would come back here.

Eyelashes extensions were totally not symmetrical. Andrea talks nice, but lied to me about the cost. I wanted to purchase the Groupon, but first decided to call them. Someone answered me and when I told about coupon, the girl sighed very heavily. I asked, if this the problem that I want to come with a coupon? She told me not to buy a coupon, I can take a screenshot and pay on the spot. On the spot she said that I would have to make an extra payment, and I didn't find clear explanation from her, or website, and in the end she did not give me a full discount, she said that I would have received this if I had bought a coupon. I have uneven eyelashes and I feel like I was robbed. Although I usually thank the girls for this service with an additional 20%, not this time.

As soon as I walked in I should have left. The place smelled like dirty wet dog. I couldn't figure out where the smell was coming from until the technician took me in the back and I could see her microwaving Asian food. The strong odor was making me nauseous mixed in with the chemicals that they were using with their services. I felt it was so unsanitary and I'm so upset I didn't get up from the bed and leave right then. I've had this service done in the past, else where and have never had any issues. I was in complete shock and so upset when I noticed my lashes were triple curled and tangled together, while in other areas of my lid -some of my lashes were missing . I called twice to discuss how upset I was with my service. They never offered to try to fix or reimburse me. I told them they should reimburse me for the service and I never heard back . After a month of my lashes still looking the same, I called them back and told them I was going to write a review and they didn't seem to care.

They cancelled my 12pm appointment on the same day as my appointment less than one hour before my appointment!

Respond to Gigi: I was upset because I was lied to over the phone. Drove 30 minutes TWICE. First time the nurse got extremely ill again (so funny see other one star reviews, how ironic), and my appointment was cancelled LESS THAN ONE HOUR before my appointment!!! ( the owner is denying that this happened but I have screenshots). Second time the front desk lady rudely approaches me and tells me new surprising prices. Please explain how was I "hostile"? Seems like you are not genuine and your "full star reviews" are a scam just like this business. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Don't waste your time and money somewhere that is dishonest. Over the phone tell you a different pricing just to get you to their spa and in person they change their prices! Also the girl who works front desk is unbelievably rude and unprofessional. Very unprofessional business. Again don't waste your time and money here.

I just turned 48 years old today! I have been going to Eye Candy Med Spa for a few years now. I have had V Slimming, eye lift, and now Botox. I am very happy with Nurse Somaly. I will certainly continue treatment with her!!

Andrea was my last technician and she was great! She made sure to consult with me and figure out exactly what I wanted. I never get my eyelashes done so I was ultra fidgety and she handled it like a pro. I ended up getting the classic set and I am so pleased with the results. I don't like when things look too unnatural so she made sure I got what I was after. She is very gentle and got me out in a reasonable amount of time! The place is super cute and accommodates a crazy schedule. When I checked out, the rate was discounted because she was new and ended up only being $115! If anyone wants beautiful lashes, I highly recommend seeing Andrea!! read more

Highly recommend Tracy!!! First time getting my eyebrow done. I was super nervous but Tracy calmed me. She's very kind and made me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the procedure. She took her time when I was getting the procedure done, and I really appreciate that. She was very precise when making sure that the shape I wanted was perfect. Tracy was also very detailed in explaining how I should take care of my brows after my procedure. If you are worried about the pain, don't worry. The eyebrow area gets numbed with numbing cream. So happy to have found Tracy to do my first procedure. read more

I saw an add on Instagram for 20 units of Botox for $97. When I went in for my appointment, the RN on staff who was going to do my Botox was pushing me to do more botox. I told her since I have never been there I would like to try just the 20 to begin. She then wouldn't stop insisting that she wouldn't even waste her time with 20 units. Why would a place put an add out to bring people in and then be so aggressive about saying it's not even worth it to only do that amount. I ended up agreeing to get 32 units, then had a bad gut feeling and changed my mind. I highly recommend you go anywhere else but here. read more

So after booking a service I received a promotional image of certain additional services. When I called to pay the entire amount for one of the services and the deposit required for the other service I was told that all I was going to have to pay was the remaining balance on the 1 service that I was required to pay for the deposit. After the the service that I had paid in full they technician was trying to charge me $150 more for the service that was paid in full. Even after I showed her all of the text messages with thr images saying that the amount that I had paid over the phone was the total price and not the deI was there for a long time why they would figure it out. At the end they refunded me the deposit for the 1st service booked after the owner kept being rude and kept talking over me. Text messages received by these people are very misleading with wrongful information. read more

TL;DR = Look NOWHERE else, this is your new forever Eyelash Place. I have been a LOYAL customer of Eye Candy Lash & Bar since February 2018 at their Buena Park location when it was only opened for a few months. I am so happy that they opened up another location in HB - makes my commute from San Diego, CA a little easier...YEP! You read that right - I commute my booty every 3-4 weeks from San Diego to come and get my eyelashes done with Eye Candy Lash & Bar. I've had my lashes done in various locations around San Diego and OC, and by far I have not found any other location that does a better job with as high quality and precision as Eye Candy. I always get my eyelashes done with Kat (and she also did my Ombre Shade Eyebrows that came out absolutely perfect). What I appreciate about Kat is that she will really take the time to look at your eye shape and hear out what kind of lashes you are looking for. I've always ended up with lashes that last 3-4 weeks because of how well done they are put in. She teaches you how to take care of your lashes including how to clean, prime them, etc. Don't even get me started on the prices. IT. IS. A. STEAL. San Diego lashes run for ~$200 for the hybrid volume lashes that I always get. To get a fresh set for their prices of $130? I'm dead. The people here are genuinely super sweet, constantly spoil me and their loyal customers - I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. Not to mention their facility is super clean and classy looking. read more

HONEST LASH REVIEW. I was on the hunt for a lash place that was open and read the reviews and thought this studio would match my needs. I received a full set of lashes that looked like a broom was attached to my eyes. The past three weeks have been so painful due to the volume lash application. I am attaching a photo of just one (of many) lashes that were attached poorly and caused major irritation. Let me remind you this photo is just after a week and this photo is not due to growth of my natural lash, rather the extension being glued too high on my natural lash. read more

False advertising. It said online it would be $100 for a hybrid but it ended up being $150 when I got there. I asked for a cat eye look, and for one eye it came out so uneven. After laying there for two hours, I was in a hurry to leave that I didn't even want to waste my time complaining. There are much cheaper options for this quality. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a full set classic. First issue I had was I tried calling their number multiple times and no one answered and there was no way to leave a message. I texted multiple times through yelp and finally got a response later the following day. I also told them that this was a Groupon. I showed up for my appointment and gave them my name and what I was getting done. She said $150, I said I had a Groupon for full set. She said oh ok, well for Groupon we only do 10mm. I said ok, no problem. Then she says, oh and we only fill them 70% of the way because it's Groupon. I said where does it say only 70%? I showed her it clearly says FULL set. She said oh because it's cheaper on Groupon that's why. Ok? Don't post on Groupon then if you are going to try to scam people. Absolutely none of this would have been a problem either for me if it had said this in the deal description. You aren't going to take my money and then try setting new terms and conditions. read more

This place is a scam. Both my daughter and I had laser packages completed and we still have all our hair. When I called we were told it's temporary hair removal. That's not what the website says. I have had laser hair removal done previously elsewhere and all my hair is gone. When I told them that they said you must have had electrolysis we don't do electrolysis. I was also told a manager would follow up with me. That hasn't happened either. Don't waste your money go elsewhere. I am now out over $600 and tons of wasted time! read more

After a few minutes of waiting, the previous client left, and she had me immediately lie down on the same table. They didn't wipe down the table or use sanitation/disposable cloths, which kind of bothered me. I requested for a wispy lash look. Typically at my previous appointments at various lash extension salons, the technician would ask me detailed questions about my preferences, and ask me what length, curliness, and volume I like. I wasn't asked any questions, only told to show me a picture of lashes I wanted. I felt like the extension process was fine, was poked a few times. Finally I was disappointed at how fast my lashes fell off (~5 days), which was a bummer because I got them done to look nice for a bachelorette party coming up in a week. I felt like the appointment was fast (45-55minutes).

It was $100 with the first time discount and took less than 2 hours. I'm usually uncomfortable on those lash tables, but the calming music and waterfall sounds literally put me to sleep! I also appreciate the private room with a table to put your stuff on. Sometimes the way they put on the lash tape hurts, but the artist was very professional and definitely knew what she was doing. I've had allergic reactions in the past and ended up with red eyes for the first couple days, but I'm about 2 hours post lashes and my eyes feel great! On a super random note, I tend to break out easily, so I appreciated the tissue on my forehead so her hand wouldn't touch my sensitive skin. I don't know why this place doesn't have more good reviews! I definitely recommend :)
