I had a great experience coming to this office. I initially found them on ZocDoc and booked my appointment through them because they had excellent reviews on yelp and ZocDoc. Of course they do live up to their expectations. Everyone is so friendly and nice. The ladies in the office are on top of calling you when you request them to and even helped me order a selection of contacts to try just incase the one I initially wanted to try didn't work out well with my eyes. The optometrists there are pretty thorough and listens to all the questions you may have. In terms of frames, I don't know what their selection looks like because I brought my own that I purchased from Italy, but it looked like they had a pretty good selection. The selection, however, that my insurance covered was eh, but that didn't matter. read more

I really wish I can give 0 with how they treated me I had my eye exam here last year and liked it so much I wanted to do it again (important back story: my insurance is the same). I made my appointment through Zocdoc - super easy. I even called and asked them to check if my insurance will cover again. They said they do that all the time and will call me back if there's any problem. No call. I assume my insurance covers and is the same. Couple of days later, I walk in to my appointment and the receptionist asks for my insurance. Slightly confused, I give her my card and she checks for me. She says that my insurance doesn't cover for the exam. I recall having another insurance potentially for eye & dental, so I hand it to her. She checks with the new insurance and says I have no vision insurance. She shows me the computer screen and shows me step by step, like how you would talk to a 6 year old, what she does. I check my insurance on my end just to make sure and I realize it's only for dental. I tell her "ah, this insurance is only for dental... I thought it also had vision." And she smiles with contempt and says "I know." A bit frustrated, I ask her "why did you play me like that?" She smiles again. I asked her what's different now because even the out of pocket pay was different. She explains that since my true vision insurance is under the second insurance I gave her, she would use that but I'm like "... but even you know that it's only for dental..." and for some reason the insurance I used last year will not cover at all this year?? I don't know. I was genuinely confused and her response was to literally slam her fists down on the table multiple times, sigh incredibly loud for an extremely soft spoken person, and project her voice in the entire store to tell all the customers "YOU DONT HAVE VISION INSURANCE." I don't know, maybe she was having a bad day but it seems like she didn't want me to use the insurance I used last year and was trying to make me use the non existent vision insurance to make me stop asking all the questions hahahahaha job well done! read more

This summer I went here (my usual place was closed at the time), to have lenses swapped from a broken frame to an identical new frame. The person who helped me broke a lens while attempting to change. I waited a week (without glasses) for them to replace. Upon pickup, one lens was loose, but I let it go. I didn't use these frames as I was frightened the lens would pop out while wearing. Today I went to my usual eye doctor, and brought the pair to see if they could fix so the lens fit properly. Upon examining, she told me that the lenses I was given weren't my prescription, were not the size of my frames which is why they were loose AND the lenses weren't anti-glare as the ones I'd walked in with. Not only did they give me an inferior set of lenses, but the prescription (which I emailed to them) was wrong. How anyone could have faith in going here is beyond me. I would have thought a small business would realize that integrity is EVERYTHING. Would love to give zero stars but can't save this review otherwise. PS - I live in NY, not SF. I called weeks after not hearing from All about eyes about my glasses. Was told they would call lab and get back to me. Few more days passed & I called again. Was told lab lost my glasses. I had to come in to pick out new frames. After picking out my frames I was told glasses would be overnighted. That was a week ago. I've called & left messages numerous times regarding my glasses & have yet to hear from All about eyes. Horrible service. read more

Came today with my friend together to get an eye exam, the store is tiny but clean and neat. I was confused with my insurance coverage (guess lot of ppl don't quite know what insurance will be covering) Staff are very professional and sweet, help me to call my insurance to figure out my vision coverage. We also happened to meet the owner in the store, he offered us a lot of free trails and rebates also explained very detail with the question that I had with my contacts, overall we had a very good experience in this store, they actually located right across from Mount Sinai hospital, guess they should also get a lot of referrals from the eye doctors there. read more

I left the last review at one star after an issue in July. I can't alter that review from Yelp without the app so I will leave a higher review now and say that I emailed the manager and he allowed me a make-good. The staffers weren't as helpful in July and said the manager is never there and they don't have contact info for him. His email is on the card. I still don't feel as good or comfortable with the new staff than I did with the last staff but I am grateful that the case was resolved. They even gave me a cute bag with hearts. read more

Terrible. Avoid at all costs. Where do I even begin? They were very expedient to get me an appointment, which I appreciated. I mentioned that I needed to get contacts by a certain date and they told me it would take no more than 5 business days from ordering, which was fine. First thing to go wrong was during the eye exam. The left eye of the eye testing instrument didn't work. It was blurry the entire time and the optometrist told me that it had been acting up. We ended the exam with her telling me she would just use my current prescription for my left eye. So I paid to only get half an updated prescription, which they didn't even provide me before I left. Next, they told me they would order contacts because they didn't have my prescription in stock and that it would take no longer than 5 business days. They would call me to schedule a follow up appointment to do a contact fitting. One week goes by. Then another. I call back to find out they never ordered the contacts in the first place. At this point I'm wondering if they were ever even going to follow up with me. The man told me he would put in a rush order to get me my contacts by Wednesday and that he would call me back before the end of day to confirm. End of day comes and I don't hear back. Again. I call right before they close only to be hung up on the first time with nobody picking up my subsequent calls. When I call back the next morning, the man tells me the contacts are on back order and they don't have an estimate as to when it would be in stock. Again, I was left wondering if he was ever going to update me if I didn't bother to call back. So here I am now, with half an updated prescription that I haven't been given, with no contacts, wondering what the hell I paid for in the first place. read more

Got lenses replaced in my glasses (no eye exam at this visit). The staff is helpful and friendly. When I picked up (approx 48 hr turnaround) one pad on the nosepiece needed replacing and they fixed this for me quickly. Also adjusted the fit and the glasses are much more comfortable. Nice place to spend my FSA money by the end of the year. Great staffs with professional and excellent services. There are many options, different brand of contact lens, different kind of designed frames and designers' brand frames. Ordered total one contact lens, and got a LOOOOOT of free trials. Got glasses here 2/18 and they formed a film on the sides of the lenses so my peripheral vision is like having cataracts. About a third of the lens is now blurry. I procrastinated about going in but it got worse over the course of the last few months. Went in 6/19 and they told me the warranty expired but for full price I could order another pair. Some service! I had gotten glasses here in the past with no issues. I shall NOT return. read more

Very friendly and professional eye care. I couldn't ask for more. They're open Saturdays which is so convenient. I was seen at my appointed time, which is a big plus for me as I dislike waiting. Dr. Murray was very personable as she gave me my eye exam. When it came to choosing the frames for my new glasses, Tina ROCKED. She selected a set of eyeglass frames that suited me so perfectly, that I didn't waste time. I simply went with them. My glasses were ready in just a few days, which was yet another pleasant surprise, especially since I ordered custom lenses. All in all, I can't recommend this place highly enough. read more

I was playing basketball , and then the glasse's temple broke , and the whole frame was out of shape & crooked , then I went back to the store and then the lady asked me what happened , and I told her what happened and then I was worried if I had to pay to get it fixed , the lady spent almost 40 minutes to get my glasses repaired and fixed . For years, I have been ripped off by Chinese owners of All About Eyes and Eyes on 14. They are awful and dishonest. They will prescribe uncovered contact lenses without showing you any options and explanations. Charging you in full cost of contacts lenses, partial of exam and "FITTING FEE" even they prescribe your same old contact lenses. I ended up paying more than $150 every annual visit for yeas. They are not telling that you your insurance has contact lenses covered by policy. And telling your policy is only covered partial. I thought they had simply language a barrier but when I stopped by near by optics I realized that is not the why. They are Greedy!! Only good is they have a nice funny doctor. read more

first glasses took 6 weeks because they don't know how to process the insurance claim, second pair they measure the distance between eyes but they did't write it down, so I bring my daughter to the shop again, the Spanish speaking lady is very arrogant and always make excuse for their mistakes, to the boss, find someone know how to say " I am sorry" to answer the phone. read more
