She got at the clinic before her staff and greeted me as enthusiastically as a great receptionist would do. Walked me through all the paperwork and conducted me to the exam room herself (right after her receptionist have arrived). She is very warm and knowledgeable. I moved to Boston from Brazil and was confused about why eye / contact lenses exams are billed separately in the US. Since the next client had cancelled (because the after storm hurdles), she took her time to explain everything, answering patiently and happily to all my questions. When I left, her receptionist helped filling a check because my pupils were dilated. She was as nice and warm as Dr. Chang (next time I'll make sure to learn her name). I've never waited more than 10 minutes in the lobby before being seen, and the overall functionality of the office is the best of any Dr I've seen. I've received my prescriptions electronically which has made it easy to order glasses and contacts online wherever I can find them the cheapest. Dr Lamoreau is so nice, kind and competent. I've had eye issues related to allergies and she's been very helpful with steering me in the right direction of contact solution, eye drops and even switching contact type. She's had me come back for a follow up when I had a flare up and I felt well cared-for and confident in her knowledge and expertise. I can't recommend Dr Lamoreau at New England Eye Center enough!

Doctor Lamoreau is incredible at her job . She is always thorough, sweet yet professional and incredibly in tune with her patients needs . I highly recommend going to her. I'm very perplexed by the negative reviews. I am sure they had their reasoning, but I've been there 4 times over the years and had only positive interactions. In my line of work as a choreographer, some people are just impossible to please. One final comment. Parking can be an issue bc the hospital parking is quite full. Walk if you can, but if you drive be prepared to pay 2-6 dollars for parking if you plan to be there for 1-3 hours. Anyway go to Dr Lamoreau! She's awesome!

The interior of the practice itself is decorated with obvious delight and joy, with a clear emphasis on being a safe space for clients. Dr. Ah-Kiné fosters a sense of relaxed competence and straightforward communication that is all too often a rare thing in medical professionals. They explained the procedures as they performed them, gave no judgements or lectures for any information I offered (I'm getting better about sleeping in contacts, I promise), and overall gave me their full attention for the length of my appointment. Mac was similarly a warm and welcoming help in discussing options for contact pricing and glasses, and the front desk staffperson was prompt, friendly, and had truly fantastic eyeliner wings. :) Overall: Gaze is 100% my new go-to eye doctor, no question about it. Thank you, everyone at Gaze Optical, for such a positive experience.

As it happened while driving in bright and happy New England spring sunshine, I had to pull to the side of the road and dig out my emergency junk sunglasses that I had purchased a while back at some random 7-11 store *FOR* this exact reason. Talk about Deja-vu. I started looking for the closest Ray Bans store that I could drive to for free service and instead noticed a local optometry store literally a minute away. Since the desire was for a quick and convenient fix, I started driving their direction and was willing to pay for any services rendered. If you believe in fate like I do (just since there has been too many repeated coincidences to remain just coincidences), I was meant to find them today. Danielle greeted me with the friendliest smile and tone of voice the moment I walked through the door. She engaged me in conversation (that made me feel like a VIP) and quickly referred me to Felix, who was just as friendly and attentive. Felix fixed my glasses in less than a minute and was about to send me off on my way despite asking to pay for the service. He laughed and simply said, "I have a million of those screws and won't charge me for such a simple fix." This was when I turned back around and asked Danielle about their optometry services. I wanted to get another eye exam this year since the last one I had since moving here was...not particularly satisfactory in any way. Long story short, I was able to schedule an appointment next day and had a very thorough and fantastic eye exam with Denis, who ALSO was just as friendly as he was professional. Of course, if anyone knows me and glasses, it has never been about price. It's like the one gift to self that I look most forward to each year. This year, I really had something specific in mind that I wanted, which is to get a proper version of the cheap 7/11 spare glasses I bought back then when my Ray Bans first had issues. I loved the look. I loved the style. I loved the color of the lens. One hour later and after trying an endless amount of glasses, I found the right fit. Maui Jims. Surprise, surprise. Of course, this piece of junk copied something amazing lol. I picked it up a week after this exam and man, am I delighted. While they both look so similar, the "performance" is night and day. The clarity and the way it handles bright sun and reflecting light from cars and buildings...absolutely different. I don't even want to wear the Ray Bans anymore. Definitely recommend this lovely spot. Good people, great product, and absolutely wonderful service!
