The level of customer service is so low at this location. I noticed that there was a promo running a few days after I signed up, and I wanted to know why this was not offered to me when I signed up. So I called and spoke to a MANAGER. Rather than tell me that this promo was not running then (which he did not know for sure), he exclaims to me that the promos change every day, and they strictly only run for 24 hours. I pointed out that the current promo shows that it is good for more than 24 hours. It literally said that it was still good for 1 day, 9 hours, and 29 minutes. How can he say they ONLY run for 24 hours? He didnt like that. He kept saying that what I was describing is not correct. I asked him what promos were running the day I signed up. He then went quiet and suddenly hung up the phone. I immediately called back and spoke to another manager. He told me that what happened was unacceptable, and that their area manager would speak to him. That is great and all, but it still didnt answer my question. Now I feel disrespected and taken advantage of by this gym. They had promos running, they just refused to share them with me. They just saw dollar signs. I had already canceled my personal trainer because as I thought about it more, they have a 4-month commitment to all training, except the initial 1. That would be $800, and that's just too expensive, so I canceled after 2 days, never having used it. When I came in after canceling, the manager of personal training, Manda, was very aggressively asking why I canceled and not really accepting my reason. You could see it in her smirk. So when I realized I had been duped by her at sign up, I just canceled my entire membership. I was told I have 30 days to cancel, and I had only had it 1 week at this point. They tried to tell me that there is a cancelation fee for the membership. I explained that I will not be paying that, as I was within the first month. If I waited more than 1 month to cancel, then yes, that would make sense. Not when I canceled after a week for reasons having to do with their behavior, nothing I did. They will not ever see a dime from me after this. I do n9t recommend giving these people your money. read more

I went to EOS with a flyer for a 2-week trial for a penny. The GM in sales told me to cancel before a certain date if I didn't want to be charged. She gave me her business card. I emailed her twice well before the trial ended but no reply either time. I even called the gym, and someone confirmed my membership was pending cancelation. I thought everything was handled. Then I got a call from ABC Fitness (EOS's billing department) saying I owed over $90 for a month of membership plus an annual fee. When I called EOS, another manager admitted this happens all the time saying people sign up for "trials" but are really put into memberships so staff can get commission. If unpaid, the bill goes to collections. Hearing a manager openly admit this was shocking. I went back in person. Front desk staff even implied this happens constantly. When I finally spoke with the GM, she first claimed she never got my emails, then admitted she canceled my membership because she "figured I didn't want the membership because she never heard from me." She emailed her boss to "approve the ticket" that she claimed she submittted but apparently used a fake email address because my follow-up email to see what the status was bounced back as "address not found" for her fitness managers email address that was Ccd on the email. This has been the most unprofessional and dishonest experience I've ever had with a company. This place is a scam. I just received my 3rd call from their billing department today harrassing me. I tell them the situation and they tell me to talk to EOS which has yet to get me anywhere. Stay away so you don't end up in a similar situation like I am in now. read more

It is always a pleasant surprise when a gym exceeds your expectations, especially when you walk in expecting the "budget" experience and get "premium" instead. I'll admit, I was skeptical about trying EōS Fitness based on some mixed reviews I'd heard about the brand in general. I'm from Los Angeles, where EōS recently took over several Gold's Gym locations, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, while visiting Arizona for a few days, this was the closest option--and I was honestly shocked when I walked inside. The size and capacity of this facility are incredibly impressive. It is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and you can tell the team here takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly and safely. The equipment selection is a total chef's kiss. What really sold me, though, was the dedicated room tucked away in the corner with the professional lighting and mirrors for photos and filming. My private gym in LA is set up the exact same way, but it costs more than double the price of a membership here. I have three days left on my trip, and I'm genuinely looking forward to spending them at this location. If you're looking for a premium feel without the premium price tag, this is it. read more

All these horrible reviews of this place I'd figure I'd throw my hat in for one more. I just moved from out of state a week ago. I don't have an AZ drivers license. I wanted to try out this gym with the 7 day pass because I wanted to give it a chance despite the awful reviews. I went in, first impression is that is smells like sewage in there. There are homeless people laying on the ground in front. the blonde at the front who speaks like she's had a lobotomy immediately said "yeah no we don't take people from out of state". I said I just don't have a drivers license yet, can I show you my lease? My electric bill with my name and address on it? You can cross check it with my ID. She said no. She got the Indian general manager who is approximately 22 years old to then come out and tell me the same thing. I told him I can prove AZ residency in other ways? He said no you have to have an ID. And I'm watering down this conversation. Both of them were incredibly rude but I am really thankful because if I had to deal with either of them after signing a contract I don't know what I would have done. Thankfully I went to another location and they were very nice and understanding. They accepted my lease to prove residency. This place is not only disgusting but the employees are rude and from what I saw from this gym, it's disorganized, not clean and not air conditioned. Thank you! This could be 5 stars IF THERE WAS ANYWHERE TO PARK! I literally had to just leave tonight and miss the 6:40pm class I signed up for because the parking lot was INSANE. People were SO RUDE. There's just no way a gym this size should ever have been built with a parking lot that small with so many other things in the complex. No point in paying if you can't even make it in the door. Someone almost took off the front end of my car cutting me off as I was parking. When you can get in, the place is nice and clean and I like the instructors for the classes a ton! The people at the front desk are also nice. The way this is modeled is definitely "pro instagram videos" if that's your thing. I do not like videoing in the gym so... that's a bummer for me. Joined in December. Paid my annual dues. Added two family members in March. The web site says you pay another annual membership fee when you add a second member, but not on the third. IT'S A LIE! They charged me an annual $75 fee for all three memberships. Justified it by saying that when I went to a family plan, it's a new form of membership which contradicts what the web site says. For the last three months, they've been double billing me on my membership. In spite of my contract saying that my membership fee is due on the 18th, they are charging me on the 7th and charging me again on the 18th. The managers in the club have no authority to solve simple problems. They claim the bottleneck is the District Manager. Either way, they remind you of the old days when your gym would try to screw the customer. The Managers seem super sharp, but they are clearly undertrained in how to resolve basic customer problems. Really bad customer service. No follow up or ownership of customer problems. Great gym! Just poor billing practices and no understanding on how to right a wrong. Missed opportunity to build customer loyalty. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I was scammed out of my money. I spoke with Collin, who informed me the company will not follow through on what their former manager Taylor told me would be done. I had been charged after previously cancelling at a nearby location. She apologized and said that location has had many of the same complaints. She signed up my daughter and I and guaranteed she would have those previous charges removed/handled. Apparently you can't even sign up unless unpaid charges are paid, as I was told today by Collin. So how did she sign us up if those were not being handled? Now he told me they will not be following through on what she said and I would need to pay what I was told would be handled. I believe this would be called false advertising or manipulation. Not only that, they also charged me the annual fee quickly even though I was told that would be pushed out at least a few months. He provided me no further solution and provided no options for anyone else I could talk to. I 100 percent do not recommend this company. Save your money and join somewhere else. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I can remember. I'll never sign up again and will never recommend them. They just want your money and will overpromise/under deliver. They do nothing for the customer regardless of something being their fault and responsibility to handle. read more

currently going through the most unprofessional runaround. And I see I am not the only one. I traveled to Arizona for two weeks - came to eos looking for a trial and which I thought I was getting a pretty sweet deal. 2 weeks trial for a dollar then I was told $30 would be charged at the end of those two weeks. The GM Taylor who I spoke with, told me everything I need to do, to be waived of the annual fee. I did exactly what she said - contacted her days before my two weeks were ending. No responses to 2 of my emails sent out. I was able to reach her the 3rd time of calling eos. She then said she was "just now" replying back to the email. nonetheless I was told she would be canceling the membership & I would see a pending charge but it would not go through. Perfect I thought! too easy. wrong. I see a charge of $89 go through merchant EOS. I email Taylor again. I got a reply stating a request is being made - a week later I still have yet to received any refund or update. I emailed her and of course. The recipients email is full. I decided to take it upon myself to dispute the transaction with my bank. Having emails proving this situation helps me feel relieved because honestly they probably would've taken a month and even if that, to give me a refund. The gym itself is pleasant but it's the staff that makes the culture of the establishment. I would not return to this location and if it was under circumstances- I would question and read every damn bit of what they want you to sign. read more

Super nice and had everything you could ever want. Very clean and I like that there is low traffic. I do wish they'd keep the lights off in "The Set" like they say they do. Everyday at 1pm they turn on like they're on a timer. I've gone to the front desk about it a couple times about it. Some say they come on and turn off at 2pm and others say they're supposed to be off all the time. Hopefully the sauna will be up and running soon too. I understand it's a new gym so hopefully they all get on the same page soon :) read more

Me and my friend came in there with the intention of getting a 7-day pass, trying out the gym and then signing up for memberships. Your sales personnel is extremely dishonest and sleazy . First It was we "have" to sign up for a membership prior to getting a 7-day free pass(which makes no sense) then they said they couldn't honor the 7-day free pass because it was during their open house then a manager came over and said that they couldn't honor it because we were previous members from 5 plus years ago. I understand that you're trying to get a sale especially with it being the end of the month and you probably have numbers you have to meet, but this isn't the way to do it. The story just kept changing to the point where we both had no confidence in the staff nor this company. I will definitely be telling everybody I know and spend my money literally anywhere else. read more

I'm hesitant to write this review because I'm selfish and want this entire gym to myself. However, this EOS location deserves all the business in the world. For starters, all the equipment and machines rival that of any gym I've been to for a fraction of the cost. And don't get me started about the GOAT, Matt is one of the employees and every time he's there it makes my experience that much better. I actually was going to give this three stars until I looked at the pictures here on yelp, which do not accurately depict this location. There is no pool, and the jacuzzi is not circular, but square to match the neighboring cold plunge. I can't spot every difference from the pictures and am not going to spend time doing that, but it is definitely misleading for anyone who wants to go there. Otherwise, this Eos is clean and new for now, and the staff seems friendlier than some of the other locations; there also seems to be a ton of equipment and there is certainly room to move around (it used to be a Safeway after all). The locker room pops with blue colors and backlights and has an overall spa aesthetic, but I would rather hear the music they play on the main floor and not spa music. The most bothersome thing about the locker room setup is they don't have benches that go all the way around all the lockers like most places; instead, for each U-shaped setup, they have one small bench for everyone to try and use. At first I thought this might deter people from going in and hanging out like they do at their other locations (and why is this anyway? Why do people choose to hang out in the locker room as opposed to anywhere else they can sit? Why come to the gym at all?), but no, so instead you're having to fight for space, teeter your gym bag, and repeatedly turn away from your locker in a complicated dance/balancing act. I also don't like the lack of a clock in the jacuzzi area (easy to lose track of time) and I really don't understand why they wouldn't install a large window in the jacuzzi area like they have at several other locations - it would have really opened up the whole place. Lastly, the separate saunas are nice and the men's is particularly large, but then I don't understand why there is ANOTHER sauna right near the cold plunge. You see a redundancy like that and think, 'but no pool?' There were already several Eos's nearby before this one was built, so I don't know why they couldn't have just held off on opening even more locations and instead not increase their prices, since they swore those would never go up... read more

I had two interactions that cause me to leave a review. The first one made me sick and the second one is why I will be leaving this final review. I have been a member with this gym a long time. However they had this guy one night at the front desk that was so doped up on energy drinks and caffeine that he could hardly talk right. He was stuttering and smelled disgusting. I forced me to make a payment and even threatened me twice to force me out of the gym even after I paid my dues. There was zero customer service support at night. The staff stand there and yell at you or tell you that they don't know what they're doing. He even offered to let me go workout and then changed his mind last minute. This was the most bizarre experience. When I finally got into the gym he was stalking and checking to see where I was in the gym. I was downright creeped out! The. The second interaction I brought my girlfriend a visitor who had been to the gym previously which I told the front desk guy upon checking myself jn. He had no smile and probed my girlfriend for her information even though I had let him know she was a frequent visitor on my account. After vetting he let her in like I told him was going to happen. I kindly asked if I could wait in the front or by the message chairs with my son who was asleep in his car seat covered up while she worked out. He was so rude he forced me out of the gym and made me wait in my car at 11:41pm 01/01/2025. While my girlfriend did a 30 minute workout. He even threatened to have her kicked out. Like is said, if you want the worst treatment as a customer go to EōS. Their staff are the bottom of the barrel. And they represent a highly incompetent management or leadership team. Go to lifetime fitness or somewhere where the customer service is much more helpful. Thanks for the cheap membership. read more
