New members get oriented with care, and regulars look out for each other. Since it's in our neighborhood, we often see people we know. It feels welcoming whether you're a beginner or experienced. The cleanliness is outstanding, thanks to Maria, who works non-stop to keep things sparkling. Omar and other trainers are friendly and helpful. This place has a good vibe. My husband and I have been regulars here for almost 2 years. There is a good variety of cardio machines, free weights, and resistance equipment, and fun fitness classes. Plenty of space to work out, even during peak hours. Parking is convenient; we always find a parking space. One cool feature is a huge movie screen in an actual theatre, where instead of seats, there are rows of treadmills, stationery bikes, and elliptical trainers, where you can catch a movie while exercising. The time and the miles fly by. There is also swimming pool and a sauna. Very clean showers and bathrooms. The equipment gets wiped down regularly. On the rare chance of an 'out of order' machine, it's repaired quickly. They also update equipment. There's always staff around to keep things going. I'm not sure why the reviews for this gym are on the lower side. There are a ton of free weights and it is very well-equipped! Everything has been clean and in working condition for the entire time I have been working out here... which is rare for any gym! Sure, it can get busy and you might have to wait for a specific piece of equipment at some times of the day... but just do what I do - flex and scare away the little fellas! I'm pretty shocked to see the low reviews for this location... I have been to 7 EOS locations in the East Valley and then the Park Central location and this one is definitely my favorite. I meant to originally leave my review January 20th, 2025 to shout out AND say Thank You to Felisia at the front desk for greeting me as I came into the gym with a Big smile and good energy. But I kept forgetting hehe. I have a gym memberships with LA Fitness, ESPORTA, and EOS and I have been to gyms in about 6 different states around the country so I pride gyms when the people at the front Actually say "hello" or welcome us (cause a lot of them DONT). I'm sure they have a lot of other task, but greeting gym-goers as they come in and as they leave should be top priority (atleast I believe). She was very sweet and a great way to start my workout on that fine Monday morning. Since then, I have been to this location another atleast 6+ times if not more and every time Felisia is there, she greets me genuinely with a smile! Awesome job queen! Since then, I have been acquainted with some of the other staff. The stretch manager Stephanie is the Bomb.com, and I can't remembered the other two's names but one is a stretch lady with dark hair that power lifts and the guy is light skin and a personal trainer! I was double charged for over 1 year I had Medicare and they were billed and they paid and also my personal account I had this membership for over 5 years I was billed for an entire year and they refused to refund more than 3 months cuz I didn't notice that they were double billing me and committed Medicare fraud. they have a bad habit of beating and switching you meet with one trainer or one stretch person and then that person's never available after you start paying. I have seven stretches that I paid for my trainer has canceled or used them up without delivering it There is no phone number you can ever call to discuss anything with anyone and what they are doing is criminal and I will be reporting them to Medicare. read more

Unauthorized charges were made to my card by the club members and i still have received no response on the matter. I cancelled my membership almost a month ago and its still showing as pending as that i owe my membership total in May. An absolute nightmare to care and even then you need to double check and follow up to make sure its actually cancelled or they will continue to charge you and send you to collections. read more

I cancelled my membership online within the companies stated refund window of 3 business days and they have instead charged me an additional $72.42. I have spoken over the phone with two individuals representing the company. One of them a gym employee and another a call center agent working within their billing department. The call center agent stated he would have to reactivate my membership for reasons he failed to adequately describe. Despite stating that I wish to cancel my membership it still shows as active when I look online. Looking at other reviews on this website and on social media it appears this process can take them months to resolve. Would not recommend. read more

Wow pool is still closed, will it ever be reopen? This is a good gym , but they need to reopen the pool

EOS get's an extra 2 stars but this is ONLY because of the positive experience I had with Christine, who I believe is the new Stretch Manager. I am still disappointed in how EOS mishandled my situation regarding the previous Stretch Manager. Despite numerous complaints regarding the previous Stretch Manager NO ONE reached out to me to try to rectify the situation. It was only after I contacted EOS again was I able to connect with someone who put me back on my Friday schedule. That person was Christine. My stretch sessions with her were good and if for some reason we were not able to meet for my sessions, Christine was always available with different day/time. Also, I was able to get "make up" sessions that were missed with the previous manager. Overall, the stretch sessions were great and much needed. I will conclude with some advice to EOS. Work on your client service skills and communication. If a member complains about missed sessions due to the unprofessional behavior of your staff, someone should immediately rectify the situation with that member via a personal phone call (no emails, no replying on Yelp). Considering how much EOS charged ($600 approximately) for the stretch sessions, this is not an unreasonable request. read more

I genuinely wanted this to work. I walked through those doors with real hope that he EOS fitness would be a place I could come on stash specifically for access to the pool and spa which I need it for my physical health. That hope was completely shattered. From the start they failed to hold up their end of the contract the pool and spa repeatedly promise to be fixed soon and to this day they still aren't. That's not a minor inconvenience that's a broken promise on the service I was paying for. When I tried to address it I was met with ignored phone calls, dead ends, and zero access to anyone at the corporate level. Communication with the start and then just stop. things were left hanging with no resolution and no accountability. I asked for a credit or a discount given the circumstances/a completely reasonable request instead of being treated like a valued member I was made to feel like I was the problem. And then - while I was still in the process of trying to resolve this with them - they sent my account to collections. That was the final straw. Do yourself a favor do not sign up here. Don't pay for amenities you may never be able to use. Don't trust promises they have no intention of keeping. I wish I have never walked through those doors. read more

I wanted to say how much I enjoy coming to the Gilbert/Mckellips location. It has been a lifeline for me, dealing with stress and anxiety. The front desk staff are stellar. In particular, Nolan "the jet" Parkillan. Every weekend, he greets me with a smile, makes time to talk and is always helpful with any matters pertaining to the gym and my membership. I love this location! I recently moved and I really miss the staff at this location. This gym was always spotless when I was there. The front desk is always welcoming and the personal trainers are great. The one bummer about this location is the parking can be so difficult to find! I don't hold that against EOS but it does make things difficult. This gym is also ALWAYS busy when I go. Sometimes it can be hard to find equipment to work with and even would happen in my personal training sessions as well where equipment wouldn't be available. No other complaints about the gym though and I wish I could live closer to another EOS location and bring the Mesa staff with it! read more

I paid for a full month and called on the 5th of September to have my guest pass removed from my membership. On the 17th, my account was "immediate deleted" by an employee over here. When I called them and asked what happened they had no idea and told me I need to come in to the gym to fix it. Three days later, I go to EOS and the manager Di**** says "you should've done this from your computer." Ok..... well I'm here so..... Long story short- Dylan makes me sign up on my phone but understands that eos messed up. He claimed that I wouldn't have to pay an annual fee at all. But I found out on my app that I was scheduled for a $50 annual payment. I called Dylan right back and he said "yeah I saw that right after you left. I'll put in a request to change it. I then called back 2 days before the payment to confirm that they had fixed it. I was told it is "still waiting on district manager approval but they will check on it." I was still charged $50 for an annual fee. Now, when I call for a refund the employee says it needs district manager approval. This leads me to believe their employees can't actually control anything in the eos systems, they just say what they are told to say. Eos is nice but this location is not the best and the workers don't have enough pull to actually help. read more

Eos on Lindsay and university is the worst gym I have encountered. Not only do they have deceptive business practices their manager sold me on a product and delivered something that was less than par. I have been billed for services that were inaccurately told to me.I told the manager to rectify the account for which she has been giving me the run around for 3 months. I was then sold false information and was told that yes members are being told/sold one thing and that it's inaccurate and false. I then told her to cancel the account due 4 months later I'm still being charged and they messed up my account. The mental anguish, wasted time going back and forth is quite disconcerting. These deceptive practices need to be stopped. Deceptive practices and discrimination is what is being practiced here. I will be seeking a remedy. read more

I like the staff, it's a gym so it has all the proper equipment. Trainers and stretch specialists are great. The music in the step class I took was sooo loud I left to get ear plugs. The sauna is the most disappointing thing about this place. You have to turn it on when you get there, which means it's not hot enough when you first go in. It finally heats up by the time you are ready to go. I was in there for 20 minutes today and barely broke a sweat. Also, the door has a huge gap between it and the floor allowing tons of heat through. I've told them about this and nothing has happened. At this point I'm thinking of buying a door trim FOR them to install. I've been to other EOS locations where the sauna has been amazing!!! Spacious and hot. At this location it's tiny and luke-warm. It's really the main reason I go. Unfortunately, it's the closest to me. And changing locations means another setup fee. read more

This EOS is HUUUUUUGGGGEE! It's also not nearly as busy as the other 2 I go to. Im not sure if that's because it's bigger so there's more space to spread out or if it's because of its location so just less people go. The parking lot is dealing with a lot of construction so just forewarning whoever. I guess this location has some VR workouts!! Cool right? Haven't tried it myself yet but i totally would. This location also has a hot tub! The location I go to normally off Alma school and the 60 has a pool and sauna but not a hot tub. The Gilbert location has nothing of the sorts :(. I have been a member of this gym for 15 months. enjoy the place although this. week took my brother in law to try gym and basically if you did have not a az drivers license you could not get a seven day trial or even a day pass. Funny I am an out of state member but that does not matter. They try and hide behind corporate policies rather than applying common sense. OK, I have good and bad things about EoS. I was forced to join EoS because my old gym closed and this was the closest one with a pool. Due to a stroke, I can't drive so this was it or nothing. That said, I was impressed with the facility and the staff. All the staff are very friendly. They make it a pleasure to go in. The facility is clean and the equipment is mostly maintained. There is a lot of equipment to use so you're usually not waiting for some piece of equipment. The pool is ok. It's like swimming in an industrial building but it's OK. Those are the good points. The things I'd like to be different are as follows: 1. It's ALWAYS busy. I've gone mornings and afternoons on every day of the week and it's always busy. Because of this, the parking lot is always packed and walking through it is downright dangerous. And beware of the huge potholes. Yes, potholes. 2. I started less than 3 months ago. I've been sick three times since I started. I rarely get sick but I sure did as soon as I started at EoS. With the exception of wearing a mask, I follow all the recommended sanitation practices to avoid getting a cold. I still got three of them in a row. I don't go anywhere else except the grocery store every now and then so the cause is probably the gym. I think this place is a disease transmission facility because it gets SO MANY people. I'm so tired of being sick that I stopped lifting weights and using the cardio machines. Now I just swim and wear a mask when I'm not swimming. I get in and get out of they gym quickly. It's very unfortunate because I was really wanting this gym to replace the one I went to for 33 years. It's not worth being sick so it's days are numbered. I don't know what they can do to fix it. If I could rate this business a zero, I would. We had a family membership here that the only person that was using it was my son. So we dropped it to a single account and he quit going to the gym at that location because he moved many months ago and the account had been canceled and they continue to charge my card after multiple calls to the business and to the billing company that they use, talking to several managers via phone they were supposed to escalate the issue. Called again today management (Julian) could not come to the phone (at first the customer service representative Marlene said it would be a bit of a way than it turned into half an hour wait that then turned into an hour wait), the representative Marlene has below average customer service skills and was generally rude on the phone. If you want join a gym for a lifetime and be billed forever, this would be the one to go to. buyer beware. Ridiculous billing and cancellation process. Every manager that has said they would escalate the issue has not fulfilled on any promise, with zero follow up. If I operated my business this way, I would be out of business. Update: called back in the afternoon and asked for Julian directly and indicated it was personal. After about a 3-5 minute wait he picked up the phone. He listened and acknowledged the information that my son did in fact last visit the gym back in July of 2024, identified that there was only one of my contacts documented. He was going to see how he could help and get back with me by end of day Monday. I will follow up again.
