Came for brunch on a Sunday morning before a cubs game, sat on their sidewalk patio. The patio was slanted making the small seats and table at an uncomfortable/awkward angle. Let me begin by saying they had just been surprised by two large parties and apparently one of their chefs didn't show up that morning. With all of that being said, the experience was exceptionally poor. Thank god for the unlimited mimosas because it took us an hour and a half to get our food. My waiter was very apologetic and knowing it wasn't her fault I went to speak with the manager who was extremely rude and dismissive of my complaints. When the food finally arrived it was pretty standard quality, but I wasn't expecting anything incredible to come from a Wrgleyville bar. Low review is because of my service experience, not a place that I will be returning to. read more

This place was great when it first opened, and why wouldn't it be? Food, drink, and I could crawl home. Well, it's unfortunately turned into chaos in a small space. Understandably part of the problem is the lack of similar bars in the area - the north end of Boystown. I stop in early occasionally, but leave once the crowd files in. Bummer. read more

Took me a sec to realize this was the same place as F.O. Mahony's, (or at least that's what I told the cab driver)! We went here one Sunday morning for their mimosa brunch. AMAZING. You order one thing off the menu and then pay like $10 and it's unlimited Mimosa's. FROM 10AM TO 3PM. smashed city. I live in this area and have only gone here, like many others, because it is close. The atmosphere is nice and the music is rarely too loud and obnoxious, but the food is mediocre and their specials suck. It's annoying that I have to walk my lazy ass to wrigleyville to get a decent special, because bars like Mahoney's and Rocks, which are much closer, will cost me 2 or 3 times as much for the same thing. So as not to totally knock Mahoney's I have never gone here and had bad service. They are always friendly and treat the customers well. I just wish they treated our wallets with the same courtesy. read more

Over-crowded, wanna-be trendy, and overly loud. When it opened last year, I had hoped it would turn into a fun neighborhood hangout. Now, unfortunately, it's become just another "cheesy" Wrigelyville bar despite its attempts to be some kind of neo-Euro pub. The service is okay, but the food is just not that great and it's soooo crowded and loud, you can't just relax and have a good time with friends. Not recommended. read more

The food here is average at Best. the service is terrible. I am 7 months pregnant and I asked the server whether the burger meat was frozen and she had no clue so she took my whole table's order and then came back 25 minutes to give me an answer. But which point they brought out everyone else's food. They also forgot the cheese beer dip for others at the table and took an extra 20 minutes for that while our food got cold. No apology. Awful when it first opened, BUT getting much better, especially with the addition of the outdoor-seating area. The food's good most of the time, BUT way overpriced. Flatbread pizzas are excellent, BUT their plating looks either gourmet or Dominos-esque. Menu sounds a cut above, BUT really just "gourmet" bar food. Don't get me wrong, it's good stuff, BUT they're always out of something. Some drink options, BUT really no specials to speak of (do $4 Blue Moon drafts every day count?). Their drink "special" when they first opened was $4 Miller Lite bottles. Staff has increased, which can only mean good things for the establishment, BUT can be negligent in service. Irish accents aplenty, BUT several have rude people attached. Could be a cool place, BUT also prone to a bunch of sloshed, grizzled old guys (we're talking 55 and up) who are either near-passed out at the bar or hitting on a 20-something. Worst food & service ever!!! Friend knows the owner & recommended this spot to meet up before the PM concert @ Wrigley. Waitress totally overwhelmed by the slow Monday night crowd I guess?!? Ordered the chopped salad which ironically was not chopped (mixed greens) & was hoping for a freshly grilled chicken breast! NOT & we had the fabalous bbq chicken nachos which consisted of chips & soooooo much bbq sauce that I never even saw any chicken!! GROSS!! took forever for 2 plates of crap!! Love this place so far! It's a great relief from the sports bars and gay bars in the hood. It seems pretty neutral. It's divey and comfortable. The service was 'meh,' but still I think it's the kind of place I would feel comfortable sitting in and having a beverage by myself. read more

FOs has a nice cozy atmosphere, always great music on the jukebox and the buffalo chicken wrap is amazing. Actually, all their food is great! Friendly staff keep your glasses filled and the food is served fast. This is my favorite little corner pub in Lakeview East. Do NOT waste your money or your time on this place! The place looks like a great little neighborhood corner bar on the outside but that ends just about as soon as you walk in the door. I don't know, but when I walk into a neighborhood bar I usually expect to see a couple of things...a bunch of neighborhood people and servers/bartenders glad to see you walking in. You don't get either at this place. Just to be clear, I have been to this place twice because I always believe that you can walk in on a bad day and shouldn't judge an entire business on that visit alone. Today I went in and gave it a second shot. OK - the place is never busy, let alone full. I think this has been mentioned in previous reviews. This should be a sign to the ownership that something is wrong. Maybe the first problem is that the bartenders and server/s are too busy BS-ing with each other (and the owner) at the Bar instead of taking care of the customers. The first time I walked in a Server walked right past me, looked me in the eyes, didn't even say "Hi" and then went to the Bar where she started talking to the Bartender. They both stood there looking over at me and neither offering to ask if I wanted to spend my money there. I eventually walked up to the bar, sat down and had to wait for the BT and Server to finish their conversation before getting a "What can I get you?" The second time I went in, I decided to try the Brunch. Big Mistake. What a rip-off. You pay between $9 and $11 for a brunch item and you don't get toast with it? Really? So the scrambled eggs with sausage, cheddar cheese and potatoes that you pay $9 for doesn't come with toast? Stupid me, right? So I order a "side" of toast. The Server brings out A piece of toast. I mean A piece of toast - like 1 (one) piece of skinny, Jewel brand, whole wheat toast. The cost? $2. That's right, this place charges $2 for a single piece of dried out bread that you can get a whole loaf of at Jewel for .99 cents. Really? By the way - you can get and entire slider for $1, but a piece of bread costs $2. Again, the service is horrible with staff all sitting at the bar gossiping and they do it with the owner sitting there so it is no wonder where their sense of guest service comes from. Oh - and I agree with the other reviewers, the food is ONLY okay (definitely not worth the price you pay) and it takes forever to come out of the kitchen. Obviously, the entire experience, from food to service, is symptomatic of the owner's ineptitude and incompetence. If you are a Server or Bartender looking for a job, where the very minimum service quality is expected from you, go apply here. Likewise, if you enjoy the kind of service you experience at the IL Secretary of State's office, and enjoy paying way too much for what you get, go be a customer here. If you're like me, you will never, Never, NEVER go back in there again. Consider yourselves warned. read more

I live in the neighborhood and was really excited for what looked like a cool little pub to opening up off the Wrigleyville/Clark Chaos. That lead to disappointment. The place is dark and generally the staff is either rude or unenthused. The food is hit or miss. We gave it many chances do to location and out door seating. We were let down. If you order the fish and chips on Wednesday, don't expect the same on Thursday. Zero consistancy. read more

This place was great for the Sunday mimosa brunch! The service was so friendly and genuinely kind. They helped me out with all my dietary needs. The music that was playing was subtle but added to the atmosphere in such a great way. They seriously play all amazing songs. I don't know how this was possible! Bottomless mimosas were way more than I expected. I was thinking that we would get watered down OJ with some champaign bit it was a full bottle of champaign with some OJ. When the menu offered Irish fare, it was pretty good. Then the menu changed, and I haven't found anything that I like. It's boring, greasy, and bland. In addition, the last time I went, my bf and I sat at the bar for at least 10 minutes before we just left because the 2 bartenders there never even acknowledged us. It was busy, sure, but they didn't even make eye contact with us, and continued to serve other people that came up to the bar. This is a review for brunch. Terrible. $8 for a very small plate of "corned beef hash" which was just some potatoes and random corned beef thrown together. No toast or anything came with it and I was not full after eating. $2.75 for a glass of flat diet pepsi that I waited half an hour for. I like the food but the prices on drinks are nuts. They never have any good beer specials so I end up spending way too much for an ok time and then am pissed at myself for going there knowing that was how it was going to be. Big big fan of the $20.00 brunch here. Endless mimosas with plenty of screens for watching sports. We've been here for World Cup watching, as well as baseball. Just a nice bar to have a couple drinks with some buddies. Thats what i did, it was cinco de mayo and this bar was pretty empty after a blackhawks game it was quite chill and our bar tender was nice and he gave us free tee shirts, i don't know why but it was cool. I think i lost mine though, but still cool. The prices were moderate for my go to beer, Blue Moon. I could see some people becoming a regular because its a nice spot and pretty low key or none game nights. read more

This place is a one star joint both for the food and for the drink prices. It gets one extra start for service which was great. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. The poor girl was the only one in that place so she was running around quite a bit. The other star is for the sexy and attractive trivia night host (who was clearly family wink wink). Drinks are a bit on the pricey side. The food is abysmal. I tried the steak sandwich which came with 3 and a half waffle fries. The steak was dry. My friends' food was equally poor. We had to make up for it with drinks which rounded out our tab nicely. I would not recommend this place - there are much better pubs in the area.
