    Mini Corn Dogs
    Caleb J.

Very great food and the service was fast. I thought the drinks could have had less ginger but given it was a Moscow mule, it wasn't bad. The burger had plenty of onions which I love, and their ranch is great. Pleasantly surprised by the mini corn dogs, but they were delicious! I love how each table is lit up with a mini candle, and it really adds to the "date night" atmosphere this place gives off. Plus they have breakfast available until 5pm!

Nice neighborhood bar vibes with interesting decorations. But not so neighborhood bar prices. First thing that stood out was the steep pricing (ie $12 for a corn dog). Waiter was nice, quick and efficient with orders. I do feel bad reviewing a bar solely on the food so if you decide to come here just have drinks and hang out here but eat somewhere else. Wings Maple Buffalo and BBQ Wings are on the small side especially for the price. Western Burger /w sweet potato fries They say burgers come standard cooked medium but both burgers ordered came cooked well done. They even over cooked the sunny side up egg, no runny yoke it came out fully cooked which ruins the whole point of having an egg on the burger. Also absolutely zero seasoning on the burger! Presentation is there but zero flavor. Wrigley Burger Same goes for this burger. No flavor/seasoning and came over cooked. Literally just seasoning the burger and cooking it right would absolutely transform this burger since the rest of the ingredients are great.

Nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich was delish!

Fun Irish bar in Boystown with decent food, beer and more drinks! Got a good sidewalk eating area on the side but my only complaint is that the seats here are the least uncomfortable seats ever. Their the bistro kinda seats you see everywhere in Europe but these are just beyond uncomfortable . Our server was cute and authentically Irish. Super friendly and efficient. This place has been around for a very long time when I used to live in the block so they're obvi doing something right. Go there!

    Outside

Great place for nice and quiet outside seating. The tables are placed on the side street so you are further away from those walking on Broadway. You scan the QR code for the menu so one less thing to touch. I got the chicken sandwich and it was pretty good but I was surprised by the prices, a bit high for my liking. I would come back here for a drink as it was pretty relaxing sitting at the outside tables.

While I have been coming here for some time now, I love this place! The staff is always welcoming. For being a pub, the food is amazing and they have been very accommodating to my being non-dairy. Take out travels well, which was blessing during the pandemic! Glad ur still around!! Cheers to many more!

This was a great place to catch up with some friends! The staff was very friendly and attentive, always made sure our drinks were full. The cheese curds were fresh and delicious. They gave us ranch and marinara sauce for dipping. My friend and I split the classic burger and the reuben, both were very good but I preferred the reuben. For drinks I ordered the blackberry margarita and a simple moscow mule. Both were great, but definitely recommend the blackberry margarita. Great experience, will definitely be coming back!

    Brunch egg and biscuit sandwich

Mahony's is a Wrigleyville neighborhood bar that never stood out to me much. Broadway between Roscoe and Irving can get a little dry on the bar front, so I suppose it is nice to have it there. Just blocks away from the girlfriend's apartment, it seemed inevitable that we stop stop in for a drink sometime. The first time we visited was to watch football. Sports were on the various TV's, but when you're dating a Saints fan, you gotta find a place with a cable package for the NFC south. Despite being told in advance that F. O'Mahony's had this, we had to hurriedly relocate when we found out this wasn't the case. We wised up for the second outing to this spot. We had to meet some friends for brunch, and I was offered a choice between an early meal and football at home, or watching the game at a nearby bar. I proposed F. O'Mahony's as they were close, not crowded and served what appeared to be a reasonable brunch. This worked out perfectly for our group. We enjoyed bloodies, mimosas and tasty brunch fare. Our server got us in and out in plenty time for the game, and the ambiance was quite cozy in the meantime. I'd recommend it if you're in the area.

    Golden monkey beer!
    G D.

This is a really nice neighborhood bar to hang out with friends and meet new people. I had never tried Golden Monkey Beer until I saw the sign outside and figured I'd try it. The place is extra crowded when the Bears are playing. I'd suggest coming early to get a good seat before the game starts. It can get loud but I expect that at a sports tavern. I was here during the day so I can't say what it's like at night. I liked the mixed crowd and vibe. I'll come back for sure.

I ordered delivery through Grubhub and I don't live very far away. The food came quickly, but other than that and the pickle, there isn't much to rave about. They did agree to a full refund and that is why I give two stars. The corned beef in the ruben was very skimpy and of inferior quality. It almost was like it is Buddig brand...There was more kraut than meat. But both were still skimpy. The rye is decent. Ignored request for 1000 Island on the side. Tater tots were tasteless and undercooked.

Nashville fried chicken sandwich. This was a great sandwich!

The staff was super attentive and kind, checking on us frequently. My friend and I stopped by for happy hour, and this should absolutely make it onto the list of the best in town. They have delicious wine, cocktails, and bites for nearly half of the regular price. I opted for the happy hour prosecco to drink, which was light-bodied and not too sweet. We split the meatballs and dates for bites and both were outstanding. I was super impressed with how tender the meatballs were, and they did not skimp on the flavorful marinara and cheese! The dates, which were topped with a white wine cheese sauce, were mouth-wateringly delicious and a must order. There was also complimentary focaccia with olive oil, which was greatly appreciated. With sea salt on top and a crispy exterior, I could easily have eaten a whole loaf. The only note I have is that the portions are small, so if you don't come during happy hour the prices are a bit steep for what you get. Will 100% be back soon to try more of the menu and highly recommend making the trek over here!

Mediterranean Meze - very flavorful blend of 22 ingredients according to our waiter. This dish was truly unique. 5/5 Grilled Halloumi Meze - delicious cheese with olives and garlic bread. 4/5 Stuffed Eggplant - savory and creamy dish which actually might be even better served hot. 5/5 Calamari Meze - Excellent and tender. Not chewy at all which was nice. There were a ton of olives which I didn't think complimented the calamari. Overall, still 5/5. Mushroom Tava - mushrooms were cooked perfectly and were delicious. One of my favorite dishes of the night. 5/5 Stuffed Mushrooms - this dish fell flat on flavor and had more of the typical mushroom texture. 3/5 The Hunkar entrée initially was extremely salty. I mentioned this to the waiter and they remade it, which turned out great, so I'm hoping the salty dish was a one-off. 5/5 Our waiter was very friendly and attentive throughout. The waiter said "we only use walnuts", we responded, no nuts. The food arrived and 2 of the 4 dishes had nuts on them, when I pointed it out to the waiter, he said "they're only on the top"! The location is great and easy to get to, which is one of the reasons we decided to stop in. The atmosphere was fun, and the restaurant was very quiet that evening. Since it wasn't busy, we expected quick service and were looking forward to relaxing for a bit. Unfortunately, that's where our experience fell short. We were seated right away but then waited about 15 to 20 minutes without ever being greeted by a server. Multiple servers and bussers walked past our table several times, yet no one acknowledged us or even let us know someone would be with us shortly. It honestly felt like our table had been forgotten. Because we were never able to place an order, I can't comment on the food or drinks. We ended up leaving before anyone came to our table. The wait time itself wasn't the issue. We were seated immediately. The problem was waiting 15 to 20 minutes after being seated without receiving any service, especially at a nearly empty restaurant. As for value, it's hard to judge since we never had the opportunity to order anything. However, spending nearly 20 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us made the experience feel like a waste of time. It's unfortunate because the atmosphere and location were great, but the lack of service completely overshadowed the rest of the experience. I hope this was just an off night, but based on this visit, I can't recommend it.

Another gentleman, not sure what role he played at the establishment, approached us while the officer was still there. He began questioning me and Rory's legitimacy on being a service dog since he just saw the officer pet him. I informed him that the officer had asked and I said it was ok. He then said "we have a lot of people that pretend their dogs are service dogs to get them in"; I replied I have his badge and the dog trainer's(dog training elite) number to contact her. He allowed us in. Less than a minute latter when my finance, Rory, and I were walking to a table, the bouncer/manager re-approaches us and says we have to leave predicated on the notion I let an officer say hi and pet Rory after the officer had asked. The law allows establishments to only ask 2 questions when it comes to service animals; 1) Is it a legitimate service animal? 2) What service is the service animal providing? I was only asked #1, if Rory was a service animal, I am allowed to give my service animal a break on occasion and I decide who can and can't say hi to him. Have never been discriminated like this in my life. And will never be returning to the facility.
