I set up an appointment got there Saturday morning on time for a full set and Mani. My daughters manicurist didn't talk to her or me at all, but got right to work it was a lady. My daughters nail polish started peeling Sunday morning. Their prices are completely reasonable, only costing $32 for a fill with gel... $40 for a full set with gel... An affordable manicure and pedicures... They also do waxing. I have been coming here for about 1 year and a half and Jason is amazing! He's quick but detail oriented and makes sure your shape is the way you want it. I put four stars only because the pedicures don't seem to last very long. Mine use to last up to a month from other places but when I get them done here they will only last about two weeks if I'm lucky :/ not sure how that happens. Took my daughter and I as a last minute walk in, when I didn't want to drive far and Just needed a fill. Not many gel colors, but maybe I'm spoiled from getting my nails done in and around Berkeley this whole time. What I did like, was that he listened to me about how long I wanted my nails the shape, and he gave me time to pick colors. I'm only giving 3 stars because there was not much conversation. I asked a few questions and he did answer them but it was a very quiet otherwise, not much smiling. Upon walking in, the gist of their place is clean, friendly, and professional. It gives me peaceful vibes. I'm glad to have stumbled upon this absolute gem! I always call them before I come in to make sure that it won't be busy and that I won't get rushed. They said there's no wait and that I could come in. It's literally two blocks away from my house. So I got there, was told to sit down at the second station, the man that usually works there starts to take the gel off... after he finished one hand I was told to move over to the second to the last table... so now I was passed over to the woman. Not even 10 mins later, I was asked to move to the last table. I was already PISSED. I started at the man who did my nails two weeks ago & did an amazing job to the man who did this horrible crap that's on the bottom pic. Idk why I still gave him a $5 tip. I have never had to make an appointment, I usually walk in and am immediately serviced or have a short (under 10 min wait). The facilities are clean, there are many options to choose from as far as what type of service you want and a good color selection within each type of service. The employees are friendly and respectful. For some reason it bothers me when my tech is in heavy conversation with the tech working on the person next to me. Perhaps I am just particular but I enjoy relaxing in the silence or chatting softly with a friend. They do not do that here and I appreciate it very much. They will make appropriate small talk with you but not so much that you cant relax and tune out if that's your jam. It was $27 or $28 for a full set and they don't charge for coffin shape like some places do, but I wouldn't go back. I went on a hot afternoon and there is no fan, air conditioning or air flow. The guy who did my nails worked fast but the end result was kind of sloppy. I chose white and he did three thick coats and there are so many air bubbles on every nail. They look good from far away and I like the shape but up close it's driving me crazy. My sister got a pedicure and liked it but I wouldn't go back for acrylic nails. I was very impressed with this place. It's small, but very clean and the staff is nice. I was a walk-in and only had to wait 10-15min on a Saturday evening. The guy that did my manicure/pedicure wasn't talkative at all, but I'm okay with that. I like to just sit back and relax. It was very hard to understand him because he was very soft spoken, but the rest of the staff helped out. He did a great job! He took his time and the hot stone massage was a nice bonus to the pedicure. I got gel on both my feet and hands so it ended up being a little pricey. I've been going to another very popular salon in Concord and the work was ok. Didn't really have much to complain about there. It was the atmosphere and scheduling that drove me away. My former salon was cavernous, noisy and packed to the gills all day every day. Bad moods are contagious and sometimes the air would be thick with bad stressed out energy. And if I didn't rebook while paying for my service, there's no way I could get a weekend spot. My old place double booked me and blamed me. I walked out and called Fabulous Nails and got an appointment THE SAME DAY. I was floored. Got to the salon. Small, quiet and calm relaxing energy. Exactly what I had been missing. Jason slays my nails everytime and the footbaths are so deep! I don't know about you, but bubbling water up to my calves makes me feel so happy and relaxed. Please don't ever change! read more

I came here for the first time today based on the reviews and it is close by. I called for a a mani/pedi and said I could be there in 15 mins. I was early, they had me pick out the polish color and I was tended to right away. I didn't see any postings of prices and later found the price pamphlet at the cashier. The guy that started my pedi said nothing and the guy that did my mani wasn't talkative either. That was weird and kind of awkward. The pedi went well, but I soaked both feet for a few minutes and for each foot he clipped and filed, and dug behind my nails where it was almost painful. He didn't tend to the small calluses or excess trimming and when he scrubbed my feet (I'm ticklish) he didn't scrub for vey long which was disappointing. The massage on both my legs and ankles was the best part! The oil and lotion and the warm stones were wonderful. The hot towel, however, was screaming hot, and may be too hot for some. He rubbed the towel on my legs to take away excess lotion/oil and then prepared my toes for polish. He did a nice job with the polish and helped me with my sandals. Then pushed the arm rest for me and went to the register, he didn't tell me what I was being charged for and when I opened the price pamphlet he pointed at the combo. The manicure - he asked if I wanted them to be clipped and I said no, the length is where I want it. My nails are short already and are square. He didn't ask what shape I wanted and filed the sides away and left me with rounded tips and no sides, I was very unhappy. Then he wanted me to pick a color and I only wanted clear, he seemed upset. But did a nice job with clear, the polish covers the entire nail on all. He finished before the pedi, all of 15 mins. And the pedi was only about 25 mins and it felt like I was done in a flash. When I went to pay, the mani/pedi combo is a very reasonable price $32.00 and if you spend $20.00 or more and pay cash, you get a two dollar discount which was very nice but I wasn't happy with either. I gave three stars because the massage was great the service was nice and maybe if I had gel on my hands it would have been little better?! read more
