they are good at making it seem like you are getting a good and fair legit deal but In the end you are not. I was taken advantage of multiple times. I always think that if I am up front and honest that they will be as well. don't let them take you for a ride. they took About $3,000 from me. I should have seen from the first time I had the bike break down and have to be picked up then as the one sold too me that would end up $2000 more then the sticker price due to "paper work" details. The bike I purchased can now be bought 4 months later from Kawasaki for $3000 less then I paid. my fault for not doing the research the guy I worked with in the beginning was fired but then the next guy did the same thing as the one who was fired for getting caught. this place is crap. read more

I dislike even giving one star. I have never felt compelled to write a bad review about any business, even after bad service. However, after my experience at Factory Motorsorts I felt it was my duty to warn people who might be considering doing business of any sort with them. I will try my best to explain my experience in a cohesive and understandable manner, yet I am still in complete shock at their dismissive customer service, and their refusal to take responsibility for their huge mistake. Ok, my husband called this business and asked if they had a certain Kawasaki motorcycle for the birthday present of our just turned 14 year old son. They responded yes that they have 2 of them available. So he puts 500 dollars down as a deposit on the inflated price they were asking,, (because this bike is the most important thing for a certain someone and we were not having much luck finding a used one or any other one)and we make plans to pick it up fri. We call on Friday morning to confirm pick up. They agree everything is set and to come by at 3pm. My son cannot contain his excitement he is about to burst with joy. After driving in rush hour traffic from San Fransiscofor 2 1/2 hours, we make it to the store saying we were ready to pick up the bike . After waiting for 30 minutes for John, the guy who sold us the bike to finally "remember" who we were ,he then claimed he called us to say the bike had already been sold. There were no messages of any sort.. A total and complete lie. He said the other people who bought the bike were coming today,, yet the store was literally closing in 8 minutes and they were clearly not coming and the bike was sitting outside with my son ogling it near by. Unless they were planning to remain open for longer to accommodate the people who bought the bike . (which i highly doubt after experiencing the customer service for myself.)there was no concern or regard of absolutely destroying a boys birthday,or the fact we drove for hours to come there after already confirming. No checking other businesses for the same bike, no trying to make it right. they truly just didn't give a crap.I get it, mistakes happen we are not perfect, but the demeanor and how it a went down makes me shudder with anger. How does a business sell the same bike twice then does not do anything to rectify their huge mistake. I put off posting this review for months, making sure I wasn't being too harsh in anger, but this needs to be said. This is the dealer that your more experienced rider friends warned you about, the kind that will prey on and rip off people buying their first bike who don't know any better. You would have a better experience buying a bike if you bought one off somebody on the street off Craigslist. The staff don't really make an effort to pretend like they give a crap about you. Even when I was paying for the bike in cash the guy looked at me like I was inconveniencing him. Everything about this place is careless. The parts guys made me wait for about an hour while they put the bike back together, even though I called and warned them I was coming a day before and on the day. The best part, they informed me that the bike was missing a part and that they would send it right away. First it took 2 weeks for the part to get to me, and it arrived BROKEN. I called their parts dept and the guy had the balls to try and convince me that it was supposed to look like that, when the part was obviously damaged. It's not even an expensive part, costs about 30 bucks, but they had the time and energy to work on ripping me off even so. They didn't even tell me the thing had a battery with about 30% left in it, so it wouldn't start the very next day after I bought it. I don't know if they do this shit on purpose or they are just incompetent but I won't buy from these guys ever again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. read more

Bought my third bike here, the bike itself was pretty nice and clean, but their service was not professional at all. I saw the bike online and i called to ask some basic questions and the guy on the phone said it was perfect. So i gave him the benefit of the doubt and wanted to purchase it via delivery. The delivery is convenient, but when the bike arrived, the battery was dead. They said they started it up in the morning, but you can easily check battery levels and see if it is a good battery or not just by using a multimeter. (Even the guy who delivered it was surprised they didn't check that) You can probably guess the disappointment and doubt sinking in. So, in conclusion they obviously did not give the bike a thorough check before selling it to me. They offered to send out a battery, so i accepted that offer, but they didn't send the battery until i called them a few days later, when they had promised to send it out immediately the next day. There was no apology until after a few days later, AFTER i bought the bike. read more

I just got back from buying the bike Ive been wanting for awhile and wanted to write a review. I traded in my 2017 SV650 for a 2018 GSX-S 750. I was talking to 3 different dealers about this deal and ended up going with Santa Rosa. The sales manager Jonathan was awesome. When I first went to him I gave him the info, and the price I was willing to pay, as well as what I wanted for my trade. I had a unique situation that ended up being no problem. Well not only did he beat the other 2 dealers, I also added a 2 year warranty and was still under the price the other dealers had. The deal went fast, and their service department was great as well. Very friendly atmosphere. So needless to say they have won my business. After finding the bike I wanted I checked CycleTrader for matches in the area. I found a nice example here, I called and was greeted by Chad. I explained that I have two very young children who would have to make the 2 hour trip from Sacramento with us. So if we could just agree on a out the door price I would buy the bike. He talked to his sales manager and agreed on my price. The next day we drove down and were handled by nothing but thoughtful, attentive employees. Every single person was friendly, and super helpful. I hate buying cars/motorcycles because the staff typically acts like you are disrupting their hangout session, and there's always the mind numbing haggling that happens for hours. NOT HERE! Eek! Methinks not. The guy at the parts counter, you'll know which one, was a total douchebag. Drove 30 miles to pick up a battery which they had for my Yamaha. When I got home the thing only had 8volts!! I called and told the guy, he started to hem and haw, and said he wouldnt have one for about a week. Okay, fine, stuff happens i get it, but then he said am i sure it's bad? I said dude i got a voltmeter its not that complicated... On top of that my bike won't start, it's not rocket science. When i got there a week later, the guy gave me a helluva bad attitude... Rolling his eyes, sighing alot, like its MY fault he gave me a s*it battery. I was very fortunate to have contacted Chad at Santa Rosa Powersports during my search for a surprise purchase of a dirtbike for my boyfriend on his 35th birthday. My boyfriend being an experienced motorcyclist has 2 beautiful Harleys and had recently gotten ridden of his much loved Yamaha R1. I knew that his transition from the street bike to the Harley's had left a void which I had hoped to fill by purchasing a dirtbike. Luckily for me I by chance ended up with Chad on the other end of a phone inquiry and he patiently explained the differences between the makes and models available. All the while making sure that he was giving me much opportunity to interrupt with questions. I've made many vehicle purchases in the past, but none as pleasant as this one. Not only did Chad help me figure out what would be the best dirtbike to purchase he also went out of his way to make sure it was a smooth transaction. Although I didnt need to take him up on delivering the bike, which he readily offered, he made sure that when I did come to pick it up he was available to help me from start to finish of the transaction. Now being someone who is naive to dirtbikes it was really such a relief to have him help me with this important purchase. I could have easily been taken advantage of. He actually helped me spend less, which is an unusual trait for a salesman. He was more concerned that I was getting the best bike for the money I was going to spend. I think I called over a dozen times with more and more questions and each time he was just as helpful. Overall I can't brag enough about how helpful and curteous both Chad and the owner were. I can't thank them enough for helping me make my boyfriends birthday exceptionally special. And I know my boyfriend, appreciates that I was given such an honest deal. A couple days later I was committed and went back to purchase a 2014 Yamaha FZ1. I went late in the day and sat on hold with my insurance company for over an hour and a half before they were able to insure the bike. Both Chad and the owner stayed until around 7:30pm (hour and a half after they closed) to make sure I was insured and able to ride away. This was far and above what they had to do, and they both had outstanding attitudes about the whole thing. After the last PSPS, we decided to buy a generator. Dan was very knowledgable about the Honda and Yamaha generators. He gave us great tips about what to look for in a good generator, and what to be leary of. I never felt like he was trying to sell us on any one kind of generator. He just keep sharing the differences between all of the models, and we were able to get the right one for our house. He was very friendly, hospitable, and patient with us. We ended up with a Yamaha 3000 inverter generator with boost technology. When I went to pick it up after they put it all together for me and filled it up with oil, etc., he just started showing me how to work it and how to take best care of it. I Bought a 2015 Yamaha R1 from SR Powersports in May of 2015. The purchasing of the bike was seamless. As they were prepping the bike for delivery they kept me informed of the progress the entire time and even sent pics of the bike after the fender eliminator and slip-on were installed. Delivery and financing went extremely well and within a half hour of walking into the dealership I was on Bennet Valley Road heading home (the long and twisty way, I live in Alameda). I have since had three services done at SR Powersports; two scheduled maintenances and one factory recall. The service department is outstanding. These guys actually remember your name, your bike, everything. Let's face it, nobody wants to drop their bike off for any length of time, but unlike certain other dealerships in San Francisco in the Mission district, on Valencia, I actually trust these guys know what they're doing. If you're in the Bay Area give these guys a shot. When I decided I wanted the R1 I searched for the best deal and SR Powersports was, by far, the place to go. I was actually happy to see a jovial staff that not only did what they told me over the phone, but didn't push anything else on me. It's been quite a time that I found an authorized stealership that I felt like I wasn't a target for sales the second I got close to the door. He sent us to Joe to pay for the bike and then when done meet Mitch the owner. The entire experience was amazing. They all were so nice and friendly and that includes the parts guy that we bought straps from. You could not ask for a more friendly and easy transaction. These guys are great! I personaly dealt with Wes the service manager and Mitch the owner over an issue I had with another dealership. They were refusing to work on my bike that has a warranty, and I purchased it from them only 6 months ago. So when I called Factory Powersports the night the crap dealership made me pick up my bike, they told me to bring it down and they will take care of it no problem. Well they most definitely did! I brought it straight to them that same night and within 2 weeks my bike was back to normal all under warranty. These guys are the only dealership I will go to from now on. read more

The first bad experience I had was when a "MECHANIC" of theirs tried to tell the compression release lever (on a YZF426) was the same as the hot start lever (on a YZF450) and when I called him on his BS! he asked if "I had a wall full of certifications?" and proceeded to point out that he is "factory certified" & pointed to the wall. In an attempt to get he parts and info I needed I had to diffuse the situation by saying "OH MY BAD" and go along with this crock of crap and childish mentality. I might go on to say all of his advise was WRONG except the carb cleaner product he recommended which worked well. I decided to go back in today to look at the new 2014 YZF 450 (which they didn't even have) despite the bad taste I had from before, while I was in there for 20-30 min. I wasn't greeted once or "even a we'll be with you shortly" remark (they weren't busy, there was maybe 2 other people there if that). With that said never again will I go there! I came in to see if they had a Clymer manual for an old Suzuki. The guy just talked down to me like I was some idiot woman and told me that they are print on demand and would cost about 90-$100. I told him that I had seen a Clymer for $30 online and he said, "oh, that's online stuff." I called Cycle West (in Petaluma) and they had one for me in a day....for $30! Go to Petaluma or head off to CyclePro if you are in Santa Rosa. At least they don't treat you like some "dumb woman." read more

This is a great business and all the employees are top notch. Great customer service and very helpful. I bought my FZ6R new from these guys in 2014 and referred my friend there and he bought a new GSXR 600 . I use my bike to commute to work in the summer and sometimes weekend rides and now have 12,000 miles on it and it has turned out to be a great fun motorcycle. I always get my bike serviced at this shop and bought the service plan during my purchase of the bike. The bike Tech's working on the motorcyles are awesome and very knowledgeable and communicate any issues of your bike with you before any work done and after work completed. I also buy most of my gear there. The service front counter guys where it all starts when you walk in are friendly and knowledgeable and take care of business and direct you to the right department of service. Stop in and check it out, great bikes and gear and a bunch of cool employees to take care of you. The owner Mitch seems like a great guy very helpful and cares about his customers and from talking to his employees, they appreciate Mitch for a owner of the company and a great boss. I have purchased three motorcycles from this location, two from the previous owners and my current ride from SR Power Sports. I recently went in to buy a couple of oil filters for my Dl1000. The staff is friendly and I have no complaints with the customer service. I purchased two oil filters and the person helping me suggested a new crush washer for the oil drain bolt. I paid for the items and drove home. I foolishly did not look at the invoice until I got home. They charged me $17.99 for each oil filter. The list price for these filters is $13.07. They charged me almost five bucks over list for each filter. The crush washer lists for $1.03 each. They charged $1.99. Needless to say I felt ripped off. I decided to check the prices at there website...... and found they are selling them at LIST price for web customers. They are gouging walk in customers. I realize I am complaining about small change, but if this is the way they treat there walk in customers why would I ever go back and buy anything from them again? So they lost a customer over ten bucks in additional profit, a customer who has purchased three motorcycles from the dealership. I gave them the opportunity to respond to my concerns prior to posting this review and they were silent. I wish them luck, but I will be driving to Petaluma for all my Suzuki motorcycle purchases and part needs. read more
