DO NOT TRADE YOUR VEHICLE IN WITH THESE CLOWNS! I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler, not salvaged, registered and smogged, ready to be sold, in excellent condition. I was contacted by the sales branch via Offer Up that they were aware of my list price ($20,000) and would be happy to pay if i drove 30 minutes to show them. I made the drive, met with Lupita and had the vehicle inspected. About 45-50 minutes later i was given an offer $5000 under what I listed my vehicle at. Mind you- my KBB offer list price was under good condition, their price was for "fair" value. Fair means the vehicle has defects, rust, mechanical issues, NONE OF WHICH I HAVE. None the less, I felt that $15,000 was still adequate and I'd rather get some green now, having driven the 30 minutes. Red Flag number one- making deals with no money in hand. The finance manager was out and they said if I would get all paperwork out of the way, make the deal that they'd secure me a check by Monday. My thoughts.. nice dealership, I'm sure they got the green secured, I'll just kick back and enjoy the weekend. They had me sign all the sales documents for this transaction, Had me sign their own Affidavit stating the grounds for their exit if something went wrong (none of which my vehicle falls under), and they legally purchased a vehicle from me. About 2 hrs in total i was exiting the dealership into my weekend thinking we're all good to go. Haha! These clowns! Monday morning I received a call from "Sam," a person who calls himself a "manager." Guys, do yourselves a favor, run. Sam starts off by passing blame on his associate "Lupita" for her inability to inspect the vehicle properly. Good job "manager" throw your staff under the bus. I was assisted by 2 men alongside Lupita, but you look like the type to pass blame to a female associate. Apparently my vehicle didn't have a vin sticker on the door, and the vin tag on the A pillar ( by the windshield) was missing. But there's one on the frame which had been inspected by CHP to verify the authenticity of this vehicle. I never noticed this issue before, and wasn't gonna make accusations of the validity to these missing items. He goes onto state that they made a mistake and that they weren't gonna cut me a check. Hmmm.. the dealership bought a car, inspected it, finalized all paperwork, and now wants to back out? RED FLAGS ALL AROUND! I'm sorry Fahrney, I don't recall you signing an type of buyers remorse clause, other than the one you had me sign which this dealership is clearly in violation of. After going back and forth with Sam, who threatened to have my car towed if I didn't come get it that day ( which shows they're trying to just push me out ASAP for their shotty business) I thought it would be wise to speak to someone in upper leadership, so I called and requested to speak to the General Manager. That position is pretty specific in the auto industry. I didn't ask for the General Sales Manager, the Finance Manager, I asked for the GENERAL MANAGER (Curtis). Instead i found myself speaking to Freddie Flores, an individual posing as the General Manager, who tried to threaten me by stating he could have called CHP to verify the vin ( i work extremely close with the CHP, the vehicle isn't in violation of anything and has already been inspected by CHP) He and Sam tucked their tails between their legs and played it off like nothing happened, that they never bought a car, and that this deal was something they could so easily walk away from. Sounds like the owners got a bunch of playboy wannabe chiefs just running some sham all under Fahrney name. Here's the deal, SWANSON FAHRNEY seeds to sit these clown managers down and get them all on the same page on how to properly process vehicles. Now i have to drive 40 minutes to retrieve my vehicle for fear of having it towed by these clowns. Come to find out they no longer work there I get my first bill only to find out 58,200 was the price plus the the 4700 on top of fees to me I felt this dealership was dishonest because I felt I still got the truck at a high price at 58200 out the door worst dealership I have ever dealt with did not know I was going to get this surprise at the end totally bummed but o well, they will try and deny it since I signed all paper work without thinking they were going to pull that stunt .
