Listen, I love the warm, welcoming vibe in here. This family owned spot is delightful. The people who own this lovely, lively eatery are kind and conversational. Michelle pulled up a chair and talked with us at length about her family and the restaurant and the amazing Banana Pudding that she makes with her own two hands and doesn't actually steal from the devil. This stuff is incredible. Stop in for some of that if nothing else. The vibe set the tone and the food was fantastic. We ordered a Dipper Tray appetizer (crudités with crispy pita triangles and creamy hummus). It was beautifully presented with generous portions of crisp fresh veggies and flavorful hummus. My Gyro Sandwich was stuffed with tender and well seasoned meat, served on a fluffy pita with a generous handful of feta cheese, and topped with onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki (I opted to forgo the lettuce). It was accompanied by the crispiest fries I've had in ages. The Beast ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with a side of fries. His sandwich was probably also delicious. He said it was tasty. He wouldn't let me have any to confirm. He ordered the beignets for dessert. I stole one of those after I devoured that Banana Pudding. It was (as expected) delicious. Nothing compares to the Banana Pudding, though. Not gonna lie. We'll be back. There's lots more on the menu to try and I'm now hooked on the Banana Pudding.

Seeing this place was a 4.9 star average got my hopes up. I personally dont think it was near a 4.8 star, the atmosphere and service were pretty good. But the food was meh. I got a chicken bacon ranch and the chicken was grilled. The fries were pretty standard cookie cutter frozen heat up fries. And the sandwich was just okay. I try to be honest in my reviews and if there was a 2.5 star option out of 5 I would have gone with that. But I'll give it a 3 to round up.

10 out of 5! I have been wanting to try this place out for a while! Sellersburg is my hometown, but currently live 3 hours away. I came to dine in by myself. Mama O looked a little sad I was alone, but I'm okay with it-- I was just happy to finally be there. The live music was nice. I ordered a Big Red and the crab Rangoon egg rolls while still deciding what else I wanted. The server (Michael) came back, I was still trying to decide (it takes me a long time at every restaurant) and he sat down with me and offered suggestions. I told him all the things I wanted to try and was trying to stay within my budget. He was super helpful. He told me he was also the GM. I ordered the pepperoni pizza egg rolls and gumbo. I ordered the Mama O's banana pudding. The hostess gave it to me, on the house-- it was Mama O, herself!! That's so sweet. So I ordered the beignets because I was planning on buying dessert anyway (and wanted to try too many different things!!). Then the GM said the beignets were on the house. Michael and Mama O are just too nice! Now I'm not saying come here expecting free things, just telling my experience. These are some good people! And the food is amazing! Come try it out for yourself! I love everything about this place: the atmosphere, the artwork, the people, the food. Can't wait to come back! Until next time FaiDodos!

I really enjoyed this place. Fun, clean, not nearly enough patrons! Close to Ivy Tech, and I love that the proteins and starches are interchangeable!! Live music and cool outdoor space. Will def come again!

Ate outside, they have games you can play (both board and yard games), staff couldn't be nicer and the food was very good. Will definitely be back.

Just had a great lunch at new Sellersburg restaurant FaiDodos. I had the gyro fries and my husband had the gumbo. The food was delicious, the service fast and friendly, and the place had such a fun atmosphere! Also overheard that they're planning for patio seating when the weather gets nicer so for those who love that sort of thing - it's coming!

We waited 30 minutes past our 9:15 reservation to be seated because we were told the previous reservation would not leave. We had to ask the hostess twice before our table was ready. Once seated, we felt rushed to order. The salatim wasn't replenished until we had nearly finished our entrées. When we asked for more pita with our mains after receiving side orders of hummus, we were asked how many individual pieces we wanted. None of us received the rice that comes with our mains, and when we asked our server just agreed but it was never brought out. My fries were also forgotten and by the time I asked I was told the kitchen had already closed so I couldn't get them. They kindly removed the fries from my bill and gave me a complimentary dessert. Our empty glasses also remained on the table for the entirety of the dinner. At the end of the meal, we all requested separate checks, but three of them were incorrect and had to be fixed. As we were leaving, we could hear the employees cheering because we had left. We greatly appreciated the discount our group received. The food was excellent, but for such an exclusive restaurant we expected a better dining experience.

And the basic dishes were the most surprising. We can't stop thinking about the tomatoes and stone fruit - how can a few ingredients we eat so often have such complexity and taste beyond any prior experience? It's infuriating. Also the rice - of the hundreds of rices we've had this is by far the best. Rice! Service was exceptional as well. Our servers Celeste and Ollie (Ali?) were knowledgeable, welcoming, and efficient. Hostess Isabelle was our hero. We were in Louisville only for 12hrs so did not have a reservation but nicely begged her and she was eventually able to fit us in late on a Sunday. We are not Tom Colicchio and Padma Lakshmi, but we've had many phenomenal meals throughout the world and this one is going to be memorable. If anyone at MeeshMeesh wants to start a restaurant in Sacramento, please give me a call.

They are slow smoked for 8 hrs, then flash fried just prior to serving and drizzled with a Spicy White Sauce. These might be the best ribs in the city! We shared a bowl of the Potato and leek soup. Another round of cocktails and we enjoyed entrees. Nick had the Short Rib with mashed potatoes and broccolini. I had the Filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Both of our entrees were great. Nick's was definitely our favorite. That Short Rib was amazing. Alan our server suggested a Strawberry Flambe for dessert. He is the only server who does this amazing dessert and it is a table side presentation. It was delicious. The smell of the melted butter and brown sugar, the Flambe of the bourbon and the dash of toasted cinnamon. It was served perfectly with some vanilla ice cream. #sextonpartyof2 #fridaynightdinner #datenight #ata_louisville_ #crispyfriedribs #shortrib #flambedessert

Transitioning from the beloved Anoosh Bistro, äta is a newly reimagined Swedish + New American concept under Chef David Danielson, pulling inspiration from his childhood Nordic roots. Thrilled to see these treasures shared on the menu. Robust wine list with a select cocktail menu and beer list available. I was in for a cocktail during this trip and enjoyed the 'Swedish 76' with lingonberry. Wines seem to be the way to go for a fully coursed meal. You have the option with this menu to share a series of small plates or traditionally course your meal with appetizers through entrees and dessert. I wanted a sampling of the menu so my party of two opted for small plates - the bleu cheese and fig jam toasts, roasted beet salad, and mussels were on the menu for us. You are also served with table bread with a Parmesan sauce that was phenomenal. I might order a different small plate besides the toast next go-round. Our server was exceptional and made sure we had everything we needed for our meal. The hospitality from front of house to the end of our meal was exceptional. äta is certainly an upscale experience, and feels more classic and sophisticated than trendy. Think special occasions, foodie adventures, parent visits, and date night with someone you want to impress.

Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam

We had a conversation with the owner who has degrees in Food Science and Culinary Arts, and is passionate about "changing the world with food." The inside is cozy, inviting, and meticulously clean. There is a small bar area and an area of table seating. Outdoor seating is available as well. The bistro is known for one of its appetizer small plates of deviled eggs. The owner said that the recipe for the eggs is one of the few things he is not wiling to share! Employees and patrons have drawn pictures of deviled eggs that are displayed on a wall space. I opted for the grilled chicken Greek salad. Greek salad is a favorite of mine and I have eaten it from numerous restaurants. By far, this was the best I have ever had. The artful presentation, fresh ingredients, and decadent flavors were a real treat. The chicken was so tender and again, the flavor bloomed in my mouth. The owner brought out a small serving of homemade peach ice cream that had been made the day before with fresh peaches. I simply have no words for how delicious it was. I will let my husband describe his experience in his yelp account, but I will say that after having salmon the night before at an 'upscale' restaurant in Louisville, he commented that the salmon at this bistro "blew it away!" People often say "I will return and try other menu options," when in fact they do not follow through. That will not be the case with us, we both agree that we cannot wait to return!

We loved the atmosphere though - the building is kind of interesting and the decoration was very classy. Maybe the main area was a little loud, but we ended up seated in a semi-private room with one other table, so we had relative quiet. It was dim but not in a bad way. All of the staff was very friendly. Our waiter was attentive and enthusiastic but didn't come across as trying to upsell us. Drinks were excellent. I usually just go for beer, but the cocktail menu looked really interesting, so I got a cocktail was very glad I did. I got the rye-based "boss fight", which was very strong with unique, complex flavours. I also had many sips of my dad's earl grey cocktail - also very interesting and delicious - and my mom's "problem child" with non-alcoholic gin. They have a really nice non-alcoholic drink menu with different NA spirits too. Food was equally excellent. We got the muhammara appetizer, I had the butternut agnolotti for my entreee, and we shared a chocolate and a vanilla-cranberry bread pudding for dessert. My dad said the muhammara was one of the best dips he's ever had. The middle eastern flavour was a little different from stuff you usually get at American restaurants, and it was presented very nicely with different garnishes. The blue cheese cream sauce on the agnolotti was also a little different and really complimented the flavour of the squash. The bread pudding may have been the best bread pudding I've had in a restaurant - it was very moist but wasn't too sweet or too rich. The chocolate cake was kind of like an oreo cake with the thick vanilla frosting and cookie crumbs - not your generic chocolate cake with white frosting, but conventional enough that I think it would make anyone happy. Maybe the portions of the entrees alone are a little small, but I think they were the right size to enjoy along with a shared appetizer and dessert. Considering that, the prices are okay for upscale dining.

My wife ordered the chef's chicken special (sorry I'm not sure what it was called exactly) and she liked it but didn't love it. Our server was very nice but it did take a bit to get initial service and the pace of the meal seemed slow given it wasn't very crowded when we were there.
