ATMOSPHERE: Really nice, tucked away spot a little outside Boerne. Quiet, cozy, classy interior with a nice patio option as well. Great staff who are always cool and accommodating, even for us and our baby. NOT TO MENTION the entire bar is actually built right inside/next to an upscale furniture design company called Finishing Touches. So you can literally be drinking a refreshing rosé one minute and strolling through elegant home furnishings, materials, and decorations. It's a one-of-a-kind place that deserves a visit. FOOD: Apps have been great so far, not very large portions, but quality food and ingredients with superb plating. Just look at the guac pic bro come on. That along with the Jocoque dip (amazing with pieces of flatbread) and the Strawberry Burrata are some of our faves. DRINKS: Bread and butter at this place, wine list is fantastic. Not overly or ridiculously long like some places where it's just overwhelming, but they contain just the right amount of options to have something for everyone. Stuff from many countries, a robust California and Italian selection (which we almost always love these regions) and even a few options from local vineyards like the William Chris cab we enjoyed. This place has a great atmosphere. It is beautiful inside and it also has a cute patio. They have a long list of wines and a few options for food as well. They have all kinds of wine so I'm certain that any wine drinker will be pleased here. I tried the duck bao buns and they were tasty. It was definitely on the lighter side but this wine bar is known for their tapas so it makes sense. I do have to say that the food took quite a while to come out but I understand that they were busy when I was there. read more

Outstanding ambiance, delicious food and top-notch service! This was my first time at Indulge and I was there with my best friend. Our first visit to Indulge this past weekend was quite pleasant. Our group of eight spent about three hours reminiscing about simpler times, better weather, and lower prices. We imbibed select wine, Prosecco, and bourbon while nom-nomming cheese and fries. Our server was exceptional. We met the friendly and welcoming owners and toured their design studio, which inspired us to make more money. Even their geriatric pup provided unconditional love. Overall, Indulge is a great stop on the rotation. However, they need to have daily Happy Hour to offset the above average prices (our bill for five drinks and one app was $150). The biggest flaw in indulge for a ladies night is that they had a lack of communication. We attended as a group of 5, all in the same vehicle with one designated driver. After a few drinks for the non driving individuals, one in our party asked for another, the server responded she would get one. After time passed another waiter passed and she asked to check on her drink and he said he would check on it. After more time she went to the bar where she was told that they had decided not to serve her any more drinks due to the number she had previously, which was equivalent or less than others in the party. Now after working in a level 1 trauma center for years I applaud the attention and respect for the safety of her and the community, but in my interpretation she was cut off because she is loud (by nature) and seemed more intoxicated. She was able to clarify with the staff and they apologized, however the lack of direct communication is disappointing. The food was delicious, the portions are smaller (tapas style) and the Burrata was unbalanced in that they gave you two small pieces of bread for a group of 5 to split a decent portion of cheese/tomato's etc. When one asked for more bread it was a separate order that was charged. The truffle fries were delicious and the Bao buns were amazing! The wines and drinks were good. I would've loved a decanter to allow the wine to breathe, however I didn't ask so they may have provided this if asked. The design and style were very fun. The bathrooms were each very unique and really displayed lovely design aspects throughout. We sat inside in the lounge area and unfortunately decided to sit on the floor as the coffee table set up didn't allow for eating well. If you want to eat, sit at the bar. I've heard the outdoor space was nice and there is a spot with a fire pit, but it will only seat 4 routinely, although the staff did offer to try and fit 5. You can call ahead to make a reservation for a space when available. Definitely a girls night or date night type of place and as someone who would bring my kids pretty much anywhere, not here. In walking in everyone is confused, there is no host stand, no sign to seat yourself or to wait. We walked up to the bar with 2 open chairs. We sat assuming it was okay, no one spoke to us until we finally asked the clearly owner (female) if it was okay if we sat there. The customer service left something to be desired. The other owner (male) finally gave us water after waiting 6 mins saying "I can give you water, I can do that, ha". The very overwhelmed bartender finally got to us and waited on us. He is single handedly keeping this place together. He was amazing. We ordered food and it was good, bao buns had too much cinnamon in our opinion but other than that the limited food menu was good. Bottom line. The owners are just in the way and the only one that welcomes you and is hospitable is the bartender. The customer service is lacking overall and the term "wine bar" is being used loosely, but the limited food was good. read more
