We stopped in, by chance, on a Sunday for brunch. It was f***ing fantastic. I know that's strongly worded, but it was that good. We started with the cheese board. Lots of great cheese and fruits. Then I got the avocado toast with fresh fruit, my husband got the schnitzel. We almost licked our plates clean. What an amazing way to spend a Sunday morning. We will be back.

Start w the appetizer charcuterie board!!! The Axis Burger is always perfect w homemade fries. Delightful staff, ambience is warm & inviting. The dress code is casual. Great photo opportunity of a Life Size PostCard at entrance!

This restaurant is a MUST if you're in town. We always stop here when we are up in Boerne, they have the perfect portions for sharing if you wish. We are always seated quickly and service is on point every time. You truly cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I would definitely double check their hours before heading out, they operate different hours than most places.

So I have eaten brunch here a number of times with friends over several years at 259 Brantley's Bistro. I've tried a bunch of items off the brunch menu over the years and have enjoyed them all. This time I went big as it is quite a full plate and one I could not finish. But had the leftovers for lunch the following day. The wild boar schnitzel was nice and crisp with no grease taste to it. The bacon was delicious and the eggs were perfect...not too hard, not toò runny. The potatoes added a nice bite to the meal. The tiny green beans were nice but I didn't get an almondine flavor. But that might be me not the dish. As I have been on antibiotics. All in all well worth the cost of the meal. In fact I had plans to stop at another place for dessert but I was just too full. Now I ordered a frozen margarita for the first time there... I got a small. It was a very generous pour. In fact I drank little of it as I knew I was driving back to San Antono. Again unusual for me but you might want to take a driver when you try it the first time. We had a group of about 16 and the nook was set aside for us. We could not have had better service...two waitstaff, one for each side of the room. Our waitresses was very nice. Patient with people trying to decide what to eat. So many goodies to chose from, never rushing anyone, answering questions with a smile. My long table seemed very satisfied with their meals. Crab cakes, three sets of eggs benedict, salad with added shrimp, another wild boar plate and I missed one or two. The consensus of the bottom of the table was you had to try the pitcher of fresh berry lemonade and it did look wonderful! It is a bit of a drive from my part of San Antonio but when not rushing I used to take Babcock to Boerne Stage Rd with turns into Scenic loop rd and eventually crosses I10. Which was a nice drive...I'm afraid it might be built up with houses now.

My girlfriend and I decided to grab lunch at Brantley's Bistro on a Saturday. Our intention was to dine inside, only to find out that their indoor dining was closed but had the outdoor section open. Their outdoor area is heavily shaded and cooled down with lots of fans. We really enjoyed it. We ordered our drinks and food at the bar. We grabbed our drinks, and our board got to our table within minutes and soon after, our salads were served. We enjoyed everything we ordered from the Farmer's Board to their Greek and House Salads. I can only imagine how fun this place is when there's live music to accompany dinner and drinks. We noticed other tables ordered loaded potato chips and lamb sliders. They seemed to be a popular choice. Perhaps when I come back, I may just give them a try.

Really only came here tonight to see if the vibe was good and try out a new spot, and I was not disappointed! Chill little bar outside where there's live music (Saturday @9pm) and a lot of space to drink and relax! Service was really good and our drinks were ready really fast! We didn't order any food, but when we saw some pass by it all looked great! The cover band that was playing was not the best, but really good, and gave the crowd a good time with classics to sing along to! Definitely recommend if you want to have a nice time out in Boerne!

It was an unseasonably warm winter day so we decided to have brunch outside and Brantley's Bistro fit the bill. What a beautiful brunch spot! The normal brunch menu is already extensive but also features an additional daily special menu. Brantley's is beer and wine only so no cocktails. We each started with a cup of tomato bisque. It had a nice texture and was good but maybe needed a tad more flavor? Next up was the crab cake Benedict with roasted fingerling potatoes and a Hill Country Axis burger with sea salt fries. The axis burger was juicy and cooked to my husbands liking (medium). Crab cakes held together well and didn't fall apart. Delicious flavor. The eggs were poached to perfection while still retaining that juicy yolk without being overly runny. Service was quick and pleasant. We enjoyed our meals while sipping a chocolate stout and cider. With such an extensive menu, Brantley's Bistro is definitely worthy of a repeat visit!

This place is so cute, love the vibe! The inside is fairly small which is fine because they have a really cool outdoor area with a full bar. The music was on point and perfect for a chill Sunday. The crab cakes app was 10/10! Highly recommend! Also, highly recommend the Avocado Toast for brunch! Very tasty! If you're in town I def recommend this place!

Great high quality food!! Axis burger was especially good around here. The fact that they source from these farms says a lot about the attention to detail. Some of the best farms in central/south tx. True farm to table ish here

Showed up here again to get. The best Axis burgers I have ever had. They were still delicious as before. There were 4 in our party and we were able to sit immediately. It was early evening but always best to call and make reservations. Service was great and this old south restaurant. Behind the bistro they have live music on weekends.

Without a doubt the worst meal I've had since we moved here six years ago. For starters, our waitress did not know how to operate a corkscrew. Amusing. We ordered our main courses, along with an appetizer and salads. Not five minutes later, our main courses come out. Suspiciously quick. What was worse was that I could smell the fish (red snapper) long before I could see it. It was rank, and I should have sent it back then and there, but did not want to spoil our evening by getting a visit from the owner after seeing how he reacts to negative reviews online. The shrimp were glassy and mushy, and you know what that means. At this price point ($140 for two without wine), at the very least the seafood should be fresh even this far from the Gulf. After delivering our main courses, we received our salad and appetizer. Not the right order. I'd say run, don't walk, away from this place. 6/17 Troll? No, nice deflection attempt though. I'm concerned about your positive reviews now. Check your credit card slips, 5/28, you'll see my name and the red snapper. $160.49. I've never reviewed before because I've never felt so ripped off before. All businesses have bad nights, but you should never have as bad a night as this one.

The menu is on the wall and ordering at the counter. There are yummy looking pies in the case. We were happy to see liver and onions with 3 sides. It also came with an incredibly tasty muffin, which we were told was a type of bran muffin. The liver was very thinly sliced and nicely grilled. Sides were generous. We got drinks and my unsweet tea was nicely brewed, which in Texas is expected. Counter staff was friendly and service was quick. The environs are in serious need of an upgrade, which I doubt will happen to keep the prices low. As it is our shared meal and two drinks was about $25. We were very pleased with our meal, the restrooms were clean and easy access, and overall other than extremely dated decor this eatery is a Boerne classic!

Portions are good and getting the large portion may mean you can share with partner. Chicken fried steak is good, mashed potatoes are the staple of my choice. The other day my husband and I were there and as usual, it was busy. The staff is super friendly! The food comes out in the expected amount of time to make you feel like it was made just for you, but not from scratch, lol. I was disappointed in the mac n'cheese. It was extremely bland. And the corn was definitely from a can, not a bit of salt or butter. We shared a chopped sirloin and it was good. On other visits I can say I have enjoyed the chicken tender salad and fried catfish but really the chicken fried steak or chicken are my GO TO choices. I will say, if the owner is reading this...I know you are super busy, but your restaurant needs a good cleaning and refresh. It's kinda worn out. The chairs aren't comfortable. The booths need to be scrubbed, even the walls adjoining to the booths are dirty. Maybe your bussers clean the table tops great after each use, but the surrounding area is kinda gross. I am not saying I won't be back, or even that people shouldn't give it a try, just setting expectations and hoping that the owners make some time to get back to quality on every plate and at every table.
