An excellent frigging dealio here. Approx $100 per nite, for two large queen beds. First floor, at least, rooms have like 15 ft ceilings. Very nice. Everything clean, art-deco-ish, spacious really. Breakfast included and quite decent, albeit crowded... coffee quite drinkable. Fast check in. I was pleasantly surprised and mild expectations were well exceeded. I'd definitely stay here next time I visit the area. Indoor/outdoor pool, decent exercise room with plenty of free weight dumbells. We had a little trouble finding this place. Due in part to bad GPS directions, but also because the hotel is set back from the road, behind another building and lacks signs which can be easily seen from the road. The walls here are paper-thin. My girlfriend and I were treated to the nonstop yelling and shrieking of rambunctious children for over an hour at 8am on a Sunday morning. Not even earplugs could block it out. They have a continental breakfast, but it only runs until 10am so you better hustle out of bed in the morning if you're a vacation traveler. However, it looked like the typical motel buffet to me--including the DIY "waffle bar." The rooms were clean and nicely appointed (with free WiFi, a nice plus), but in the end I felt like we paid for a hotel and got a motel. read more

This Fairfield INN and Suites in Temecula, CA delivered the best 4th of July experience I could ever have asked for. I think the hotel is fairly new because it was in pristine condition. Keep in mind this is Marriott's lowest hotel on its extensive list of properties. I have stayed at plenty of them in my travels but this was the nicest, cleanest and most friendly Fairfield Inn I have ever visited. Let me first start by saying the people at the front desk could not have been more accommodating. Johnny was the gentleman working the front desk the first few times I called. He was very helpful in organizing the two rooms I had for my group. He even answered questions regarding renting bikes and where to visit. Johnny not only was helpful on the phone but went above and beyond the normal call of duty and printed out 10 pages of helpful information about Temecula Wine tasting and the special fermentation process used at a local winery. I have not had that kind of service from any body in a really long time. The beds were super comfy and the free breakfast was mighty filling. I give this establishment my highest rating yet on Yelp! I must say that I am a major fan of the Spring Hill Suites in Temecula. I can proudly say that we are now a Marriott family. My husband and I recently visited Temecula along with our 4 month old son. This was our first big trip we had away from "the routine". I was a little nervous of how we were going to set our son up in the room so that we would get a proper night's sleep. Not wanting to barricade him on the bed or make room in the car for the pack and play, the hotel offered us the choice of a crib or a pack and play which made the packing process less painful. The inside of the room was beautiful with a king size bed, bright colors, and modern style. The couch folded out into an extra bed and we had free Internet service for the first 24 hours. The staff was very helpful and the continental breakfast had a wonderful selection. The location was perfect being just less than 2 miles from Temecula's old town and if you must swing by Target... it was just a couple miles in the other direction. I recommend Spring Hill Suites to anyone visiting Temecula. We look forward to staying there again. read more

The hotel is located within a short 15-20min drive to the wineries, which was the reason for our visit. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Front desk and breakfast area staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, but bathroom needed some updating. The bathtub looked dingy and stained. Marble counter top was nice. Floors were laminate which was nice also. Bed was a little lumpy - I would sit my baby down and she would roll a little since the bed was uneven. Breakfast was good - waffles, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, ham, bagels, toast, fruit, juice, oatmeal, cereal, milk, yogurt. Plenty of choices for me, the hubs, and two toddlers. Dirty filthy Hotel Period.... I was forced to stay there as this is where my daughter and husband wanted to stay for Military Discount. I prefer Temecula Creek Inn :) This hotel was noisy guest up all hours at the pool kids screaming and it was not cheap I paid $174.00 + tax for first night $ 274.00 + tax second night finally said I am out of here. The rooms were filthy dirty piss stains on the title around the toilet not clean at all and I was in the top of their line room a Studio Suite. Will never stay here again when there are so many beautiful winery hotels to stay at. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone ever. 2 thumbs down... read more

The price was pretty high for the quality. It was clean... Enough. The tub was a little dingy and there was no fan in the bathroom. My biggest complaint was the house keeping. We were told check out time was noon. And at 11:59, on the dot, the house keeper was banging down the door to clean the room. We were literally zipping up our bags and about to walk out of the room. It seemed a little rude. We ended up leaving the room by 12:02. It felt like we were inconveniencing the housekeeping staff when in reality, we paid $180 to be there for 12 hours. Note to management: Maybe give your guests a 5minute buffer to get out of the room and not feel rushed out. There are SO many competing hotels nearby. read more

Conveniently located off the 15 in Temecula, the Fairfield is a clean inn with an attentive staff. It is a convenient place to stay if hitting the wineries. Booked ahead online, and had problems at all with the room. Nothing out of the ordinary, but this is the best situation with hotels. Also, we may have been lucky to have our room face away from the freeway. Unfortunately I missed their breakfast after a late night with the vino. read more

My friends wanted to stay in Temecula for a night to gamble at the Pechanga Casino and wine taste the following day. We are Marriott members and between the Springhill and Fairfield, this was the cheaper option. I was able to use points for the stay and received an upgrade. My buddy also received an upgrade with a whirlpool in his room. This property is currently undergoing renovations, so my review would be based on my experience. The girl at the front desk was friendly and with the mobile checkin I was in my room quickly. I received a welcome letter and a gift bag with a water and a snack. It was a nice touch for loyal guests. A dislike going to my room was that the elevator took a while to up and down the 3 floors of the hotel. My room was average for an upgrade and there was nothing special about the appearance. I had a friend who slept on the pullout and we needed to move the coffee table to the side which made the room a little cramped. My review so far makes the room seem average, but you will notice that I'm giving this hotel 4 stars. Reasons: the bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure and the drains were not clogged. When staying at hotels these things really matter! I would definitely stay here again especially if I visit the casino. Tip: take a uber or lyft to and from the casino. The cab cost was $26 excluding tip. read more

Not impressed with this hotel at all. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a family wedding. My mother reserved and offered to pay for our room we stayed 2 nights. when we checked in they said they needed a credit card for "essentials" next morning I noticed they charged my card $450. I informed my mother and they also took out the same amount on her card plus the charges for her room. At check out my mother paid cash for all rooms when asked why we were charged 3 times for one room they said oh they are just holding fees and the charges will get dropped off. I don't understand why a hotel would charge 3x for one room. Yes the charges came off but 5 days later! Other cons: GM rude rude rude! I have never seen such bad customer service. Uncomfortable bed kept rolling to the center. Refrigerator loud- had to turn off. Remote control would not work. Breakfast is decent. read more

Very nice layout for single rooms. Separate bedroom and living areas. Great for meetings without having colleagues in bedroom areas. No problems with room or hotel. Easy parking. Easy freeway access. Little hard to turn into property because folks don't observe the do not block driveway signs -- not hotels fault --- city planning problem. I didn't use breakfast or evening social --- due to my schedule, but it looked nice. Beds comfortable, good task lighting and easy access to plugs and cable. Wifi was pretty good. Mini refrg and microwave with coffee maker. Pretty easy to make breakfast for myself. Room was very clean and well equipped with accessories. Front desk folks were super on top of my Marriott preferences and made sure room was ready for my mobile check in. Management was very friendly and left a nice note for check in. DO NOT STAY HERE. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Reserved two rooms here, one of which raised its price AFTER we reserved it & couldn't cancel the reservation without paying. When we arrived at our first room there was food rotting in the minifridge, the bathroom door was broken & wouldn't lock, & the air conditioning did not work. When we complained about the room & left for the day, after being told it would all be fixed upon our return, the only thing that was adjusted was the removal of the food in the fridge. We were moved rooms after that. In our second room, on the second day, we asked for a change of sheets & the receptionist told us that housekeeping was "almost done" for the day & asked that we wait til the next day, when we would be checking out of that room. Didn't offer us a change of linens for us to change ourselves or anything. Awful customer service, extremely passive aggressive. When we asked for compensation for the first night in the room with the broken AC & bathroom door, they gave us less than 5%. When we were packing up our second room, we also found an unmarked pill capsule with white powder inside that did not belong to anyone in our party. CLEARLY these rooms are not cleaned thoroughly, if at all. Also, we left a pillow in the room on accident & when we called there was no record of a lost pillow. Would not be surprised if they just changed the pillowcase & kept it there. On top of all of that, the WiFi is horrible & not even strong enough to stream Netflix on a laptop properly. I would NEVER recommend the Fairfield Marriot to ANYONE in a million years. Would not wish this place upon my worst enemy. Staying here was a nightmare. read more

We've stayed here once and had an excellent stay. Great room, convenient location, nice breakfast buffet. A five star resort? Absolutely not, but a nice and respectable family-friendly hotel for a weekend trip. On our repeat trip a month later (again visiting family), hotels.com messed up our reservation. We arrived and were told that we had booked a 1 bed room rather than a 2 bed room. So why the five star review? Because even though it was not the hotel's job or fault (again, the error was on the part of hotels.com), the desk attendant, Nicholas, got on the phone with hotels.com and handled the whole thing, advocating for us and getting us a room at a sister property. The level of customer service was impressive, and we'll be sure to book again next time we're in town (albeit not through hotels.com). Thanks to Nicholas for his hard work. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. When we arrived for our room the people at the front desk were extremely friendly. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. We had a king sized bed and a pullout sleeper sofa. There were 2 tv's one in the bedroom and one in the living room area. This room even had a jacuzzi in the bathroom. We ended up using the outside jacuzzi instead. The total for 3 people was $239 plus tax. Not bad. In the morning they had a continental breakfast that was included in the price. They had beagles, muffins, coffee, milk, orange juice, fruit, cereal, egg breakfast muffins and you could even make your own waffle. read more

Awww we had so Much fun here for only doing an over night trip. The front desk was nice and helpful. The rooms seemed clean. The breakfast was sooo yummy. We used the pool. Noticed the handicap pool chair didn't work. The price was decent. My biggest complaint would be that the walls are paper thin. I could hear everyone no matter the time of day it was. Above all I heard was running back and forth. I slept horrible because of this and also our roomed smelled like smoke like it creeped from other rooms. It's close to the winery's so it's a great option but definitely wasn't quite there. read more

Wtf! This is not Marriott standards. I was extremely disappointed in the overall condition of this location. I suggested this location to my friends. We each had separate rooms. I have a family of 5. 3 year old,6, and 1. I got the king suite with pull out couch. It's perfect. Staff was so....nice. they even let me check in at 11am. Off to the pool now:-). Maybe we were expecting more since it's a Marriott, but this is more like a motel then a hotel. The rooms are super tiny and smell like mold and cigarettes. The bathtub looked dirty and it was slippery. My husband actually slipped and fell. I don't think I have anything positive to stay with the exception of the convenient location of where we were going. It was pricey which didn't make since for this place. Stay away!!! read more

So disappointed, Marriott. We are loyal customers and this place was awful. Dirty and rundown, we found long black hairs all over our room (not ours), there was water damage on the bathroom ceiling above the nasty old wallpaper and the coffee table was missing entirely in our "suite." We only know there should have been a coffee table because there was one (very wobbly one) in our first room that we had to move out of due to an awful stale smoke smell. (The entire 2nd floor was clearly the smoking floor at one time) The sofa bed only slept one so we had to have one of our children in the king bed with us. Yuck! read more

One of the worst hotels when it comes to customer service. The hotel is located conveniently off the freeway. Comfortable beds but the customer service is one of the worst I have ever experienced. I would truly suggest for the staff to get a seminar in customer service. The front desk receptionist actually argued on the phone with me for over 10 minutes, really??!!! She made some horrible and in my opinion racial comments were felt like accusations. I travel everywhere with my daughter and I will make sure I let everyone know of a great deal and I will also let everyone know when I feel that my family or myself is being mistreated. Ohh..... First, the hotel is almost on top of the freeway and two major traffic streets. Of all the Marriott brands we've stayed at in more than 30 years, this is by far the least nicely furnished. We went out to Temecula and my wife booked us at what she thought would be a nice and reasonably priced hotel. We have never stayed at a Fairfield Inn before and figured how bad could it be? Not really that bad, but not really the best place we have ever stayed. Not knowing the area, the Fairfield was attached to a small mini mall. Not what we were looking for. It would have been loud if we had tried to use the unimpressive pool or jacuzzi. The room was nice and we did have a good view of the freeway. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice, but the faux wood floors had a grunge feel to them when we walked on them. Felt as if they were really dirty. We did have trouble with temperature control as it was either too hot or too cold. The service was ok but nothing impressive. The Fairfield Inn did offer a free breakfast bar that constantly ran out of food, utensils, plates, ect that were never replaced the uninterested staff. They would even clean up and take away things as you were trying to serve yourself. There was always a shortage or lack of something that was clearly needed to complete your meal. The food as a bit bland, but it was free, so I can't really complain too much. It did the job. Like I said, not really bad, but not the best place we have ever stayed at. There are some other options that we would like to try stay at next time. read more

I always try to stay at Marriott hotels. I usually stay at the Courtyard nearby but it was not available. This Fairfield Inn can be described in one word - "grimy" or "dirty" or "gross" fit. Mildew in the corners of the bathroom. Dirt in the grout on the floor. I don't want to know what the stuff was on the walls in the bath and the rest of the room. Walking barefoot not an option. A solid hotel at a great value... Not on the same road as the wineries but just a mile or so down the freeway... We came for a weekend getaway and were pleased. Rooms were clean, beds were soft (if you prefer a hard mattress this is not the place for you)... The breakfast was above average - tasty jimmy dean sausage and ham biscuits, bagels, waffles, and the usual continental breakfast. A+ on the breakfast. My cooler took a tumble and shattered a bottle in the bathroom... I went to the front desk and requested a broom to clean it up and was pleasantly told that housekeeping would take care of it within the hour... Big + for me... Broken Tv, chirping alarm, noisy refrigerator and a bad flooring job are only some of the problems with this hotel. There's no maintenance staff to make repairs and the front desk person sounds like I'm inconveniencing her by asking what can be done. Either a hotel needs to be perfect so staff don't have to be bothered or staff needs to make up for the shortcomings of the hotel. They charged $20 to my credit card for incidentals which they didn't warn me about. When I asked why my card was charged $20 when I had pre-paid I was left with the feeling like I should know why and was bothering her by asking. read more

I often stay at a Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Vacaville, CA. So naturally, when I was seeking a hotel for my weekend in Temecula, I decided to keep my loyalty there. It was quite difficult to request and/or inquire about an early check-in. I received short answers, or just a hard no when I had to continue calling back to ask if there was an available room for early check-in. I walked in around 1pm (check-in is at 3pm) and luckily there was a room available. (The gentleman was very kind.) At about 3pm, my girlfriend and I had just gotten out of the shower and were getting ready in the bathroom, with the bathroom door open. The bathroom door is adjacent to the room door that goes out into the 1st floor hallway. My girlfriend happened to be nude (as we were both getting ready for our event) and someone opened our room door (with a key) and nearly walked in, but stopped in her tracks after seeing us both standing there, with little to no clothing. All this individual said was "Oh my God there's someone in here!" and walked away, leaving the door ajar for us to close, and deadbolt while trying to figure out what had just happened. We are unsure if this was a staff member or a hotel guest that somehow ended up with our room key. We received no apology for this intrusion and invasion of privacy from this individual. Neither of us had ever experienced anything like this before considering even cleaning staff knocks prior to entering a guest's room. The room was clean, and had great amenities. No complaints there. They offer a nice breakfast in the mornings. I'm sure this was just a random, unfortunate and uncommon occurrence but it definitely left us feeling uncomfortable. :( read more

We did face towards the highway and never really did hear it. The staff was great we had a small mixup when we got here with the room. They fixed the problem and comped us a different room. The hotel is clean breakfast is decent. We got one of those sweets at the hotel and it was perfect for us. A special thank you to the Front desk staff Evelyn in the morning and Britney at night they were excellent. We always to dark cleaning staff because they really did an excellent job of cleaning up our mess. We would come back for sure. read more

Stayed here on a Friday night for a friend's wedding. I thought the hotel and my room were very clean and bright. I was on the first floor, and did not notice any noise problems from other guests above or beside me, nor did I hear any traffic. Front desk staff was not overly friendly, but answered my questions and certainly, no one was rude to me. Breakfast in the morning was easy and had plenty of options. I made a sandwich out of a toasted english muffin, canadian bacon, and a cheese omelet. :-) Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I am only removing one star for the layout of my room - the bathroom door opened outward, blocking the hallway and making it very difficult to find the handle in the dark. If I left the door open though, I ran the risk of walking into the door in the darkness. read more

Honestly I love Marriott normally, but this is the worst one I've stayed at by far. Lobby and common areas are very dirty, and worn. Rooms were pretty bottom tier as if you stayed in a regular motel. Definitely stay somewhere else if you have the choice. read more

I'm not sure if this hotel just renovated or its always been like this. Staying here is like sleeping in a warehouse. Wood like floors throughout the room with questionable cleanliness, no artwork of any kind on the walls, and don't even think setting the temp on the thermostat will actually regulate the temperature in the room. Cold room from actual temperature to comfort overall. Be careful using wash clothes and towels because the used will be taken from the room but there will be no replacements. The "complimentary" breakfast is less than ideal and good luck finding any staff beyond the hardworking cleaning staff. Based on my one and hopefully only stay, I will be recommending my company remove their suggestion of this hotel and negotiate a corporate rate elsewhere. read more

If you are staying in Temecula, especially with a group, DO NOT stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott! We stayed at there this past weekend for a soccer tournament. My daughter's soccer team has stayed almost exclusively at Marriotts for the last four years and this is the only bad experience we have had. The managers were very rude to our team manager. Overall, they lacked basic customer service skills when dealing with a large team and problems that may arise with a group. The rooms were also very cheap (vinyl flooring) and you can hear every noise your neighbors make. read more

We stayed there over the weekend and had a bad experience. When checking in the person at the front desk told us that our gift card was no good because she had never seen one so don't even try using it. That is not what I wanted to hear at 1am in the morning. Also she suggested we get the bigger room up in the 3rd floor so I took it and it was a handicap room. There was a shower chair in the bathroom and the whole room felt like you were in the hospital. The room felt depressing. The next day we left early in the morning and came back at around 5 and our room was not cleaned by housekeeping. They came in around 6 and that is because I called. The breakfast was ok no complaining about that. There are two other hotels to stay real close to there so I suggest those instead. read more

We arrived in our room to see the bathroom sink full of dirt...I mean full. Like if you took a cup of dirt and put it in the sink. Looked like coffee grounds almost.!! My husband washed the sink so I'd stop being disgusted. Went to the pool and hot to find the hot tub was closed off with yellow caution tape and the pool had only three chairs that were-already taken. Our lampshade was shattered and should be replaced. Our companions in the next room also had the brown dirt in their sink the next morning...they said it was sewage or clogged pipe backup. They own a bed and breakfast in MN and were also completely disgusted. Rooms 130 and 132 I have no idea why this hotel got any rating above a 3 maybe we just got the crappy rooms. We had a party of 6 with 3 rooms......embarrassed I chose this hotel we should have stayed at the Embassy. We are Marriott owners in Maui and this is no Marriott!! read more

Pretty convenient and comfortable hotel, but I've never had such issues with a hotel room key card. Yes, we put them near our phones the first time, but after replacing both our keys, my husband I moved our keys to another pocket away from the phone. One night, after my card didn't work that day (and I didn't replace for the 3rd time), my husband's didn't work. Very inconvenient when getting back after 1am and very tired. read more
