We needed movers to just move our furniture furniture to a POD in the driveway and our garage to empty the home for a remodel. We specifically asked for the expensive furniture to be wrapped to protect them. Three young men showed up in a pick up truck without any wrapping materials and blamed their office for lack of materials. After more than an hour, their supervisor showed up with packing materials so the job then took anther 3 hours as all the items they had moved into the garage needed to be removed, wrapped and moved back. We were charged almost $500 for the wrapping materials alone that was ludicrously over priced and additioanlly for 4 hours of labor even though the first hour was basically useless as they showed up without packing materials as ordered. Avoid and look for more professional companies. read more

I hired Fairprice for a move from the Bay Area to Deer Valley, Utah. We have a lot of very heavy restoration hardware furniture so I was worried how the move would go. Fairprice did a really great job doing a dedicated move for us with pickup in the Bay Area and the delivery to Utah next day. Our things were packed very well and arrived in great shape. Pillo and Augustine did such a great job we hired them one more time to bring another truckload of things to us in Deer Valley. The guys are very nice and professional. I had to move last minute from a 1 bedroom apartment and found Fairprice Movers. I called in and the rep Taina calm voice eased the process. For the quote she asked location of items and where it's going, large furniture, if it's first floor or stairs, if items need covers or just wrapped, etc, she was very thorough. I didn't get the name of the movers but they were AMAZING! They wrapped all my furniture carefully but they were fast! The company charges by the hour with a 3 hour minimum. These guys wrapped all my items but I didn't have anything to cover my tv, one of the guys used some of my left over cardboard and made a sturdy box for my tv in a flash. My items were moved into a storage unit I had. I was worried that my whole apartment wasn't going to fit, but the guys rearranged the items I already had in there which created so much space. These guys would be pro at Tetris! I know they were on the clock but these guys didn't even take a break for water. I went to the store to get them refreshments and they were so grateful but didn't partake until they finished the job. I would highly recommend! Moving a 800 sq ft apt into a storage unit (including stairs and furniture wrap) took a little over 4 hours and cost $850 (including 20% tip). Was totally worth it! Thank you guys! This is my second time working with Fairprice Movers, and I can still say it's the best decision. They not only have the best price, they also bring 3 movers instead of 2 like every other moving company (trust me, I got spammed by other moving companies with many quotes) Movers arrived on time, called 30 minutes before to give me a heads up. Took them 2 hours to move my one bedroom (to a third floor w no stairs!!). They were super efficient and I do not know how but they didn't stop for a second. Fair price Movers recently helped us move the large items from our condo to our new home. The quote was super easy to request on their website and someone promptly reached out to schedule the moving date. On the day of the movers called 30 mins before arrival and Nacho and has partner quickly moved everything for us with no issue. Nacho and his partner knew how to wrap everything with care (we had several glass items) and were so strong and very respectful. Worst moving service I've used. I was charged for packing boxes I didn't approve of. I requested to have certain boxes that I marked with an X to be in the front of my storage unit so I could access them easily. Instead, they shoved everything in with my marked boxes scattered everywhere, & just forced everything in so tight that I couldn't even open the door. The way they pushed everything in the unit scratched up my furniture, & I had to spend hours trying to get to my needed items. I was charged double of what was quoted. Just moved a chair that hadn't been touched since my move about three months ago- had been sitting in the corner of the room where it was left day of the move with a blanket covering it to protect it for sale - and I just found a huge slash from a knife in the back, very clearly from where they cut it to unwrap it. It's impossible they missed it. I wasn't told. I gave a tip. This is what happens when you go TOO fast. It wasn't even a two hour job. I'm so disappointed. Absolutely the best moving company I have ever dealt with and I have been a Realtor for 50 yrs and moved a lot of families. Hard working, on time and so polite, nice and helpful. They moved 6000 sq ft into 3400 sq ft. Not an easy task. They worked for 15 hours straight only stopping to eat at the job site. Amazing company and extremely fair pricing. BEWARE ..... this moving company is a joke! I booked 3 months before my move date. I gave a deposit. 1 week before my move they text asking if I could switch my date. said they over booked. I refused bc everything was already set for the move. Theydid move me on my original move date. 3 movers arrived at 8am the guy handed me an iPad and said sign here so you can't sue us. Now I know why! During the move they were very careless. They put my new dresser on a dolly unprotected with no furniture pad. When they got the dresser to the top of the stairs . the drawers feel out and were badly damaged. Beyond Repair. The dresser is scratched all over from the bumpy ride up 2 flights of stairs with no protection. i had a total of 3 pcs of furniture damaged. the movers said "don't worry about it. call the office and they will take care of it." I called the office. I was informed I had to submit a claim with their insurance company. so I did . had to take many photos, take the time to fill out and submit the claim. the insurance company replied soon after and said that Fairmovers has offered me a settlement of $60. does that seem fair ? they destroyed my brand new dresser. damaged a vanity and a desk. broke a picture and $60 is what they offer. be smart select another moving company !!!! This companydoesn't stand behind their word. Also the movers took many smoke breaks. It took them a lot longer than it should have. 1 of the guys never left the truck. 2of the guys took about 1 hr to take my bedroom set apart. The 3rd guy stayed in the truck , waiting. Then when we arrived at my new home, they hooked a speaker up to the iPad and blasted music As they moved my things in. Very unprofessional!!!!!!! I couldn't select zero stars. This time I hired a crew of 4 which was the way to go for a 2BR/2BA with about 60 boxes and containers, lots of garage items. They were super fast and efficient. I did not have a great experience with Fairprice Movers. Requesting a quote and booking them was easy. I read through their offer and I picked them for the positive reviews and the fact that they disassemble and assemble as needed. They gave me a 2-4pm timeframe and they arrived at 2.15, not too bad. However, they started complaining as soon as they got in the apartment. They said that they don't disassemble IKEA furniture cause it is fragile. What? I said fine, I can leave my big wardrobe behind, I can attempt to do it myself, but they have to at least do the bed frame. They agreed but acted as THEY were making ME a huge favor. They said no to carrying the TV, computer, monitors, frames and my bar globe because, and I quote 'they are fragile and will break'. This gave me GREAT confidence in their stacking ability and driving skills. Fine, whatever I'll move them. I packed everything before they came, so everything was already in boxes or huge trash bags, ready to go. They put those in the car and then they started with the furniture. They started with my couch, a big two seater. They started wrapping it in plastic wrap and attempted to take it out the door. Even a 5 year old with no moving experience and too much eye perspective would have known that there was no way it could fit through the door in one piece. Their attempt failed (shocker) and they went on to the balcony (I live on the second floor) and said they can drop it from there. Mind you, it is not a straight drop, it's at an angle and in no way a moving company should do that, nor insist for 10 full minutes that they can totally do it. I obviously said no and they said that they don't disassemble and they will call their manager. They did and came back in 5 min disassembling everything. I assume their boss told them to do their damn job as per the contract. They had no bags for the screws, I had to give them ziplock bags that they reluctantly took saying that 'we can just leave them in their sockets'. I honestly do not recommend them, it was a lot of hassle and negotiating for something that was in no way up for negotiation. Edit: spelling. read more

Jorge, Oscar, and Brian were absolutely phenomenal the very minute they began working on our move. Efficiently, and with care they moved our studio across town in San Francisco with absolute ease. I'm a bit torn because I've used Fairprice Movers twice for my moves. They were excellent for a local Bay Area move and were very efficient and protective of all our items. However, a long distance move was not a pleasant experience, as our items were delivered nearly 3 weeks beyond the contracted delivery date. To make matters worse, our 65 inch tv was damaged. It turns out they contracted with a different moving company to do the final delivery to our home but overall, the communication was very poor with regards to the delay. They did offer a slight discount but unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend them to family and friends any longer after this last experience. read more
