However, if you are traveling from far away, or even out of state/ country, this zoo may not be your cup of tea. Here's why. They don't have a huge variety of animals here. If you are wanting to see all the animals, then you should go to the San Diego Zoo. That zoo reigns supreme of all Zoo's for Souther California. The Orange County Zoo is nice, and great. However, they don't have a huge variety of animals here. They also have lots of disabled animals. If you are looking to see healthy animals, again the San Diego Zoo is your place. Now cost wise, this zoo is way cheaper than the San Diego Zoo. That is something to consider. I think all zoos are wonderful because they house and care for animals. I do think it is worth knowing what you want to see at the zoo and then decide which one will fit your needs. That being said, The Orange County Zoo is a great zoo. It is clean and you will see some animals for a very cheap price. If you don't mind seeing animals who are being rehabilitated, this is a good zoo.

It's not a huge zoo, but I definitely enjoyed spending the day there. Unexpectedly, my favorite animal was the Golden Lion Tamarin. Absolutely beautiful. I also loved walking through the rainforest aviary and being surrounded by all the birds. The macaws were definitely showing off today. Sometimes it's nice to slow down, wander around, and just enjoy the animals for a few hours.

Like many other reviews mentioned, when I visited there were quite a few animals missing from their exhibits, and several exhibits were just statues or figurines instead of actual animals. What I did like was that they had a camel, which isn't something I usually see at zoos. Overall, I came with my baby and it was a nice, enjoyable experience, but it's definitely not one of the best zoos since there are so many better options around the OC/LA area. Parking - They have a parking lot, and it wasn't too difficult to find a spot even on the free Santa Ana Residents Day.

From the very beginning, the owner Jennifer was incredibly responsive to all of my texts and questions. She was so kind and helpful, and she made the whole planning process feel easy and stress free. That alone was such a relief when organizing a big party. The animal handlers Crystal, Alicia, and Jessica were absolutely wonderful. They were super friendly, patient with the kids, and incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals. You could tell they genuinely love what they do. They did not just handle the animals, they truly engaged the kids and made everything educational and fun. On top of that, they even helped us set up the party and our food, which was above and beyond what we expected. The party is hosted on the side of the ranch that sits between the animal pens and a playground, along with a picnic area and bleachers for the educational animal presentation. The setting is so unique and fun. It truly feels like you are right in the middle of the ranch experience. The birthday package includes up to 40 guests, and that number includes the birthday family. Guests 2 years old and younger do not count toward the guest capacity, which is such a helpful detail for families with little ones. You also have the option to add more guests (which we had to do) for an additional fee per guest but you are capped at 60 guests for birthday parties. If your party is over 60 guests, it will need to be hosted on the wedding venue side of the ranch and will cost more due to additional fees and a required deposit. Just keep in mind that the wedding venue side obviously does not have the same play structure area, and the playground added so much fun to the birthday party. I truly feel it would not be as exciting for the kids without that space to run and play between activities. The party also included drinks and plenty of pizza for our guests. They estimate one slice per child and two slices per adult, and it was the perfect amount. The pizza is catered from Vincenzo's Pizza of Noho, and it was delicious. If you need more food, you can also order additional items directly from their menu, which is really convenient. As part of the party, we received a full tour of the ranch where the kids were able to pet tortoises, lizards and a variety of farm animals. The animal presentation was such a highlight. They brought out exotic insects, a chinchilla, guinea pigs, different birds, and several kinds of lizards and snakes including a boa. The kids were completely amazed and so excited. At the end, we even got to take pictures with Herbie the hybrid camel, which was such a fun and memorable moment. Overall, the party was an absolute blast. The kids had a wild time, and parents kept asking how we found this place and saying it was the best birthday party they have ever been to. I'm not sure it's exactly like riding a bike--but Karen made me feel completely at ease from the start. Kiwi, my horse, was incredibly patient and gentle with me. I swear she knew I needed a little extra TLC! It made the whole experience so enjoyable and stress-free. I even got to do a tiny bit of trotting, which was such a fun bonus. Overall, it was such a great experience, and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to try horseback riding or get back into it!

We were limited in space with the bounce house, seating for 60, adopt an animal balloon farm and all the food and beverages. But they made it work! They set up on the side and brought goats, pot bellied pigs (my son's favorite,) bunnies and chickens. They were great. They had stuff to wash your hands after the petting and made sure both the kids and the animals were safe. It was a great experience and very affordable. I would definitely book with them again!

Avengers Assemble!…read more Although normally an MCU-themed set of reviews, in addition to Lockjaw (the Inhunans' dog), we welcome a DCU crossover with Krypto (Superman's dog) in honor of Dog Days! Cute vendor booths and filled with dog parents. The furry friends took a day off from fighting crime and supervillains to sniff and sprint around the sunflower field! Even Thanos and Lex Luthor paused their infinity gauntlet and kryptonite weapons to pet our pets. Well-organized and super friendly (or super pet friendly too). Plenty of parking, so no need to find space for rhe Avenger's Quinjet or Winder Woman's Invisible Plane, although she would still need her magic lasso to make sure that dogs are on leash or else she'd have to corral them in. It wasn't an incredibly large event, but intimate. So no need to run around frantically like the Flash or zip, zig, and zag like Quicksilver. And our two pups had so much fun that this is just one piece of evidence that both Peter Parker and Jimmy Olsen can agree on across any superhero universe.
