Stopped in today and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. It may seem a little run down on the outside but don't let that stop you. My husband had the Fajita Texana and I'll have to say that it was probably one of the best ones he's had in our travels. Great flavor and cooked to perfection. I had the taco salad and it also was amazing. Service was a little on the slower side but it was a Sunday after church so that's expected. Our favorite thing on the menu is the Beef Enchiladas dinner, it is always good. Lunch Tacos are good too. Sadly, their salsa is extremely bland and as of late the queso dip has been thinned too much so that it is flavorless (it used to be good). Service is usually prompt and the staff is pleasant. Honestly really disappointed, the staff is friendly but I waited an hour for my enchiladas togo. The enchiladas are missing literally all of the toppings listed on the menu too. I also ordered chips, salsa, and queso. Good thing I asked about the queso and salsa because it wasn't even in the bag when they brought it out. So i basically had to remind them of what was supposed to be in my order. I've been to fajitas a few times before and man this was the worst experience for one very minor togo order. Wonderful authentic Mexican food. My friend and had the chimichanga with chicken. We had a side of very fresh guacamole. Presentation was well . Taste of our food was delicious. We would highly recommend this authentic Mexican restaurant to anyone that is craving some Mexican food. Neither of us like a hot spicy meal. This meal was not spicy, although you can certainly have that way if you wish. They had a special on margaritas and we each had two. Second one was only .99. We can't wait to go there again on our next visit to DeFuniak Springs. We are from Wisconson. Loved the service and the food. Great atmosphere too. I'd add a photo if I can. read more

We visited later in the evening after a long day at Holmes Creek Livery. The chips and queso did not disappoint. The service was a little slow but we also had a party of 8 at a time that they likely were not expecting many people. The California Burrito is HUGE so either share or make sure you bring your appetite game STRONG. I liked how open this restaurant was. We went to the restaurant on December 2, 2032. I will start with saying we had a wonderful waitress! I wanted a chimichanga with "steak", but she came out to tell me I could only get hamburger or chicken... So, I ordered a quesadilla- steak. I must say it was the worst dinner I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant! The meat had ZERO seasoning. I let my hubs try a bite and he agreed. Not even salt and pepper! I told the waitress at the end of dinner and to her credibility she offered to call the manager over. She told us they had had to hire some 16 and 17 years old kids to help with the cooking. Horrible restaurant. For starters, it took 15 minutes after we sat down for our server to come to the table to ask our drinks. Mind you, we were a 4 top and there's maybe 3 other booths taken up. Our server apologized, which we knew it wasn't her fault. The front counter lady had informed us she was new.. HELLO?! They threw her on the floor with out an ounce of training and the other 5 servers sitting around weren't helping the poor girl. My friend ordered a water, tasted like the cup was submerged in metal and was given a attitude when asked for another drink instead. My husband and I really wanted Mexican food for supper but we wanted authentic like we used to get when we lived in California, we haven't had true Mexican food in years until now. We ordered the Fajita Texans for 2 it was nothing short of Amazing. It reminded us of our ALL time favorite little taqueria in California. The portion sizes are very large and so tasty the tortillas are fresh and you can tell they are made on site not store bought, the flavors were perfectly blended. The prices are very reasonable especially for the amount of food you receive, we had two unsweetened tea (husband is diabetic) they had an array of sugar substitutes we were pleased with that as well. Now for our waitress her name was Kim and she was nothing short of FANTASTIC very attentive, came back several times to refill our drinks and to make sure everything was made correctly. We never had to search for her in order to get anything she was seriously on the ball. The owner was going through the restaurant as well stopping and introducing himself to each table asking for feedback it was nice to meet Mr. Rufino Torino. Great Food Great Atmosphere Great Service.
