    Falafel gyro

Best fries hands down. So crunchy and the seasoning on them is so yummy! They are nice and warm too when they serve them. The falafel gyro is pretty solid too. Wish it had a bit more sauce but the flavor is great and definitely fills the craving. Love that this place is a drive through and open late. So if you're craving some yummy gyros late at night this is def the place to go. Good pricing too, fries are $2.99 a gyro is $7.99 so much cheaper than other places in sac and tbh better. Our go to place for gyros in west sac. Just seeing the fries again makes me want some more hahah.

Fast food gyro, that includes a drive thru!!! Cheap eats and so delicious! Food: Combination gyro platter - 5/5 - this is so good like as good as better-known gyro chains like Falafel corner and Halal guys Gyro wrap - 5/5 - delicious classic Ambience: Small fast food joint with the limited seating of just a few tables Service: No complaints

The food is always amazing! I typically get chicken salad but the lamb salad is above and beyond delicious !!!!! The service is fast and I love a quick drive thru. Im surprised they arent more busy!!! A must try if I say so.

Super convenient online ordering. Came here for lunch and the food looked pretty good from photos. Ultimate platter: A Chicken, beef, lamb. Basically all the proteins in one plate. Chose this so I could try most of what they have to offer and I will say the plate was incredibly packed with flavor. Meats are heavily marinated and super tender. The white sauce is very creamy and delicious. Seasoned fries: C These fries were not my favorite. They're thick cut so the inside is bland and they got a bit soggy for takeout. Baklava: B- Tasty, I enjoyed it overall but the texture was not as crisp as some other baklava I've had. Still, for $2 a single piece is hard to say no to.

The place is pretty solid and convenient, close by my home. The guys working there are nice, I've never had any issues. The place was clean from what I saw the only time we ever ate in. I don't think they have restrooms for customers though. I've had their lamb/beef platter and a side of fries. Both were really good. I like the way they season the lamb and how it was cooked--tender enough. I asked if they charge extra for extra sauce and the guy said they normally do but gave it to me for free. That was really nice of him. Just be careful of the hot sauce though, it does get hot if you dump loads of it on.

+ spiced well, tasted good + parking lot - no restroom, was hoping to wash my hands before I eat:( - uncomfortable to eat gyro with having a paper bag as a plate (specifically said dining in) I know they usually come in wrapping but would have been nice to have a plate along with it.

A solid burger for a fantastic price! I got the cheeseburger combo with a fountain drink. Love that you can refill your soda pop to your heart's content. The cheeseburger is a good, tasty burger. I enjoyed it! And the fries were hot and freshly fried and crunchy and well seasoned. Yum! Oh and my combo only cost $13. What a deal!

I've been to Capitol Gyros once before and got my food to go and have ordered from it back when it was called Hefty Burgers on DoorDash long ago. Is it still called Hefty Burgers? Are they two separate things? They still have the Hefty Burgers sign up outside but it says Capitol Gyros on the building, so I'm not sure. That said, you can get gyros and burgers, so I'd say it's a bit of both! I went in today for lunch and was feeling their namesake, a gyro, but I'll admit the burger menu looked pretty good too! I was the only one in the restaurant and was immediately greeted by the girl behind the counter. It didn't take me long to look at the menu and I opted for the Ultimate Gyro - a gyro wrap with chicken, beef, and lamb and the usual fixings. I rounded it off with some onion rings and a fountain drink. They have Pepsi products so I got a Diet Pepsi and sat down. Service was fast! Couldn't have been more than five minutes from the time that I ordered that they called my order from the counter and my food was ready. I picked it up and grabbed myself a seat in the corner, though I could've had any seat in the house. Food looked good and tasted good! Nothing out of the ordinary here: not the biggest or tastiest gyro but still solid and a filling meal for not too much money. The onion rings were piping hot and fresh out of the fryer without being too greasy and I was full by the time I finished everything. As this is my third visit, I think I can comment that the gyros are maybe not my favorite thing to get here, and I have previously enjoyed the burgers and plates more than the gyro I had today. That said, it was still fine! Just on the average size. Speaking from previous experiences, the plates are just a few bucks more and have enough food for two meals and the burgers are also decently priced with a variety of flavors and toppings. This spot is affordable and very close to me so I will definitely be back, and next time I'll be trying out something new form the burger menu!

I'd never had garlic CURLY fries before, so that was a fun change. Since it was our first time here, we didn't realize the setup was order first, get a table number, then find your own seat and they bring the food to you. There wasn't much direction. Someone greeted us at the front, but then continued talking to someone else, so we were left trying to figure it out ourselves. The biggest issue, though, was the FLIES!. And to be clear, we were sitting indoors, not in the outdoor seating area. There were flies constantly flying around and landing near and on our food, and we had to repeatedly swat them away while trying to eat. The restaurant has a large opening between the indoor and outdoor areas, which is probably allowing them to come inside, but something really needs to be done about it. Having flies flying around and landing near your food while you're eating indoors is just gross and makes it difficult to enjoy your meal. The other issue was honestly shocking: there is NO baby changing station/table in either restroom. As a parent, I find this incredibly disappointing and, frankly, pretty inconsiderate and disrespectful to us moms.... Our baby unfortunately had a diaper blowout while we were there. I checked the large stall in the women's restroom, hoping there might be one of those fold-down changing tables on the wall. Nothing. I even had my husband check the men's restroom, and there wasn't one there either. Thankfully, we had brought our bassinet with us, so we ended up having to use that to clean our baby up -- essentially doing a full diaper blowout cleanup in the area between the men's and women's restrooms. It was stressful, embarrassing, and completely avoidable. Restaurants that welcome families (didn't see a no kids sign) should have a safe, sanitary place for parents to change their babies. Not having a changing station anywhere in the restaurant puts parents in an awful position. Not every parent has a bassinet with them, I saw other babies in regular strollers, and parents should not have to figure out where they can comfortable clean up a baby's dirty diaper. Please consider installing a baby changing station in at least one, preferably both, restrooms, even dad changed diapers too. This is a basic accommodation that would make a huge difference for families. The food was decent, but the flies -- even while sitting indoors -- and especially the complete lack of a changing station made our first visit much more frustrating than it needed to be. I hope management takes these issues seriously and install a changing table as soon as they see this.

The service is fast, and the food usually comes out pretty quickly, which makes it a solid option for a late-night bite. Whenever I come here, I always order the onion rings. They are usually coated in a thick batter that almost gives them a funnel cake-like texture, which I absolutely love. When they are made that way, they are easily the highlight of the meal for me. That said, the onion rings can be a little hit or miss depending on the night. Sometimes they come out with a lighter batter, which does not have the same satisfying texture I usually look forward to. I also appreciate the napkin dispensers lined along the wall, especially since this is the kind of food where you will probably need them. One thing to note is that if you go late at night, there may be people hanging around outside the restaurant, so just be aware of your surroundings. The double cheeseburger was very good and I really appreciated the thick cut tomato slices. Chili was solid, but it def could've used either more salt or some sort of acid. What's a burger without fries, right? We ordered the garlic fries and good lord that's a lot of fresh garlic! While I love garlic, I would prob argue this is an excessive amount for most garlic lovers especially since it's fresh and sharp. I also got to try my friend's order of fried zucchini and this was prob my favorite item. They do thick cut zucchini at an angle so they're huge. The batter is also more like what you'd expect for a corndog, so it has a sweetness to it as well. Combined with their house ranch dipping sauce, I would order these again to go along with my meal. Overall, I can understand why Willie's has endured and built its strong legacy here in Sac. If I could do half-stars Willie's would be a 3.5 for me, but I am okay giving it 4 because of the nostalgia eating their food brings me. Willie's is the first entrant for my ongoing series of reviews for local burgers under $10.
