    Falafel gyro

Best fries hands down. So crunchy and the seasoning on them is so yummy! They are nice and warm too when they serve them. The falafel gyro is pretty solid too. Wish it had a bit more sauce but the flavor is great and definitely fills the craving. Love that this place is a drive through and open late. So if you're craving some yummy gyros late at night this is def the place to go. Good pricing too, fries are $2.99 a gyro is $7.99 so much cheaper than other places in sac and tbh better. Our go to place for gyros in west sac. Just seeing the fries again makes me want some more hahah.

Fast food gyro, that includes a drive thru!!! Cheap eats and so delicious! Food: Combination gyro platter - 5/5 - this is so good like as good as better-known gyro chains like Falafel corner and Halal guys Gyro wrap - 5/5 - delicious classic Ambience: Small fast food joint with the limited seating of just a few tables Service: No complaints

The food is always amazing! I typically get chicken salad but the lamb salad is above and beyond delicious !!!!! The service is fast and I love a quick drive thru. Im surprised they arent more busy!!! A must try if I say so.

Super convenient online ordering. Came here for lunch and the food looked pretty good from photos. Ultimate platter: A Chicken, beef, lamb. Basically all the proteins in one plate. Chose this so I could try most of what they have to offer and I will say the plate was incredibly packed with flavor. Meats are heavily marinated and super tender. The white sauce is very creamy and delicious. Seasoned fries: C These fries were not my favorite. They're thick cut so the inside is bland and they got a bit soggy for takeout. Baklava: B- Tasty, I enjoyed it overall but the texture was not as crisp as some other baklava I've had. Still, for $2 a single piece is hard to say no to.

The place is pretty solid and convenient, close by my home. The guys working there are nice, I've never had any issues. The place was clean from what I saw the only time we ever ate in. I don't think they have restrooms for customers though. I've had their lamb/beef platter and a side of fries. Both were really good. I like the way they season the lamb and how it was cooked--tender enough. I asked if they charge extra for extra sauce and the guy said they normally do but gave it to me for free. That was really nice of him. Just be careful of the hot sauce though, it does get hot if you dump loads of it on.

+ spiced well, tasted good + parking lot - no restroom, was hoping to wash my hands before I eat:( - uncomfortable to eat gyro with having a paper bag as a plate (specifically said dining in) I know they usually come in wrapping but would have been nice to have a plate along with it.

A solid burger for a fantastic price! I got the cheeseburger combo with a fountain drink. Love that you can refill your soda pop to your heart's content. The cheeseburger is a good, tasty burger. I enjoyed it! And the fries were hot and freshly fried and crunchy and well seasoned. Yum! Oh and my combo only cost $13. What a deal!

I've been to Capitol Gyros once before and got my food to go and have ordered from it back when it was called Hefty Burgers on DoorDash long ago. Is it still called Hefty Burgers? Are they two separate things? They still have the Hefty Burgers sign up outside but it says Capitol Gyros on the building, so I'm not sure. That said, you can get gyros and burgers, so I'd say it's a bit of both! I went in today for lunch and was feeling their namesake, a gyro, but I'll admit the burger menu looked pretty good too! I was the only one in the restaurant and was immediately greeted by the girl behind the counter. It didn't take me long to look at the menu and I opted for the Ultimate Gyro - a gyro wrap with chicken, beef, and lamb and the usual fixings. I rounded it off with some onion rings and a fountain drink. They have Pepsi products so I got a Diet Pepsi and sat down. Service was fast! Couldn't have been more than five minutes from the time that I ordered that they called my order from the counter and my food was ready. I picked it up and grabbed myself a seat in the corner, though I could've had any seat in the house. Food looked good and tasted good! Nothing out of the ordinary here: not the biggest or tastiest gyro but still solid and a filling meal for not too much money. The onion rings were piping hot and fresh out of the fryer without being too greasy and I was full by the time I finished everything. As this is my third visit, I think I can comment that the gyros are maybe not my favorite thing to get here, and I have previously enjoyed the burgers and plates more than the gyro I had today. That said, it was still fine! Just on the average size. Speaking from previous experiences, the plates are just a few bucks more and have enough food for two meals and the burgers are also decently priced with a variety of flavors and toppings. This spot is affordable and very close to me so I will definitely be back, and next time I'll be trying out something new form the burger menu!

Originally the plan was to order to go, but we decided to dine in. The dining area is pretty small and they have about a half a dozen booths. It looks like most of their business is to go. The staff is super friendly, which I always helps with a new experience! Being totally undecided, and wanting to try a couple different things, we ordered a side of onion rings, a veggie Samosa, one kebab plate, and a Shawarma pita. The veggie Samosa: it's what was recommended to us instead of the beef or the chicken. The outside of the Samosa wasn't very crisp and was pretty bland tasting. The veggie part was OK but wasn't very flavorful either. It's not something that I would order again. Pretty underwhelming. The onion rings: they were OK. I was glad that they weren't greasy, but again they were missing an actual flavor to them. The chicken pita: it was OK. Nothing that I'd go back and order again. The chicken was seasoned but very lightly and I think I was expecting some deeper flavors. I did ask to skip the onions because my past experience at other places is that they will add in a huge amount and it's pretty much an onion Sando, and I absolutely do not want that. The kebab plate: this was sort of a mixed bag. The chicken was super flavorful, but also really dry on the inside. The beef, was chewy and underwhelming. Not a good combo. The salad was basically lettuce on the plate. Not worth spending the money on a plate. The rest of it was mostly rice with one little quarter piece of pita. It's not enough pita and there's very little tzatziki sauce. I just felt like a very overpriced plate of rice. The restaurant is clean, and there's plenty of free parking.

Samoon is an Iraqi white yeast bread shaped like a diamond or a canoe. The origin is likely from Georgia then brought to Iraq by Armenians immigrants. The first baker to make this bread in Iraq was named Simon, which translates to Samoon in Arabic. My CHICKEN KABOB SANDWICH on Samoon bread with house garlic sauce was so delicious! You have your choice of garlic sauce or tahini sauce, but Hameed told me that the garlic sauce culturally pairs with the Samoon and the tahini sauce with the Pita. You also have your choice of toppings: lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, and pickles. I think the yummy default is to order everything, but I said all but the onion. Wow, who knew that dicing cucumber elevates it to a new level of taste and texture! I mistook it for zucchini. I am all eager to order or make Jerusalem Salad or Israeli Salad now, a salad prepped with those same toppings, except the lettuce. Restaurant is uncomfortably warm with the bread oven, but nothing beats eating food freshly baked and prepared, so I decided to eat my sandwich there. There are just a few tables inside. No outdoor dining. Most people order to go. The savory PIES come in two shapes: a large round and a smaller diamond or canoe shape. Given I have been dreaming of Georgian cheese bread, Adjaruli Khachapuri, for years, I opted for the boat shape and got one MEAT PIE and one CHEESE PIE. The meat was spiced. I heated each in the toaster oven for a few minutes. Fun to eat! Very reasonably priced. I googled the Middle Eastern word for hand pies: Fatayer. The dolmas were also fun and convenient to eat. 10 in a box. Dolmas are marinated grape leaves stuffed with a seasoned rice and rolled into little cigars. Restaurant offers 2 juices made in house: 1. Freshly squeezed OJ that was bright orange in color 2. Fruit punch made with grape juice and black carrot juice Restaurant offers 3 kinds of baklava for dessert! 1. Walnut Baklava 2. Pistachio Baklava 3. Bird Nest Baklava (Arabic: Osh El Bulbul) At home, I enjoyed my Samoon with BABA GHANOUSH and hummus from Mediterranean Bakery. Baba Ghanoush seemed more special to me than the hummus. I did appreciate that the hummus came garnished with a few chickpeas. I also ordered a 1/2 pound of beef shawarma to go. It needed 20 minutes to finish grilling on the rotisserie, so I explored Alibaba International Foods market and the Kind Bean Cafe & Ethiopian Cuisine restaurant in the same plaza. Beef shawarma is marinated in a spiced paste. Lacking all the fresh vegetable toppings, I couldn't assemble as delectable a sandwich at home. If I can tear myself away from the chicken kabob sandwich (kabab, kebab, kebob), I'd be interested in trying the other meat sandwiches: beef kabob, chicken tikka, lamb tikka, chicken shawarma, and beef shawarma. I'd also try salads: Mediterranean Salad, Greek Salad, or Beyrotiya Salad (chickpeas, tomatoes, and cucumbers in olive oil, garlic, cumin, and lemon juice). I procrastinated too long writing this review, so my memory may be failing me. The co-owners of the restaurant are all from the Mediterranean area: Sudan, Lebanon, and Iraq, I believe. Thanks to Hameed for your kind hospitality and food preparation. I'll be back for the Samoon and sandwiches!

The delivery itself was great, but the food wasn't. The salad had cucumbers throughout, and since my body does not do well digesting cucumber, I couldn't eat it.
