I lost count of how many times I have been here but every single time this place exceeds my expectations! Literally best kabobs I have ever had. So fresh. So delicious. So tender. Full of flavor and authenticity, you can even just eat the rice by itself and it'll be so yummy! I promise you won't be disappointed! Try it now!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Walked in with very limited seating indoors but very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is our first time here and ordered the lamb/beef shawarma rice plate and chicken shawarma rice plate and both were really good. They had tons of the flavor was rice was super good. The salad was delicious and hummus tasted super good as well. I wish there were more roasted veggies instead of the raw onions and pickles. The staff was nice and took out ordered quickly and served the food quickly.

I stopped by Falafel Tazah after shopping at TJMaxx and I was so impressed! I cannot eat gluten or dairy, and when I ordered, I was going to order the Chicken Shawarma rice plate without yogurt sauce, and right after I asked for no sauce, the cashier (I think his name is Mohammed based on the name on my receipt) asked if I am allergic to dairy. He let me know that the marinade for the shawarma is yogurt, but that I could order kebab instead (the kebabs aren't marinaded in yogurt)! He also let me know that they have a tahini sauce and a hot sauce if I'd like to add those to my meal instead. I'm so glad he caught that and thought to ask! I also ordered a side of fries, and when I paid he let me know how long the wait would be. Both people I saw working were super friendly and welcoming. As he handed me my bag, he reiterated "all of the sauces I put in the bag are dairy free". There is plenty of parking since they share a parking lot with TJMaxx, Starbucks, Best Buy, Chipotle, Jamba Juice, etc. The inside of the restaurant is very clean with just a few small tables, so I'd recommend taking your food to go. You can see them make the food right in front of you as well, which I always like! The food was very delicious and fresh! Although I usually prefer thinner fries, they were well seasoned and very flavorful. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor, and went so well with the rice, cucumber salad, and hummus. They also give you pickles and onions, which really added to the dish. Overall, I had a great experience here and will definitely be back!

Stopped by for a quick weeknight dinner, and instead of the usual rice plate I would pick up from their Foster City location, my husband and I opted for Lamb/Beef Shawarma Wraps with a side of 6 Falafels to share. Everything was a 5/5 and was the perfect amount of food! The wrap was full of different flavors but all of them blended deliciously. As much as I enjoyed my wrap, I think the falafels were my favorite. Perfectly golden, moist, crunchy and flavorful. They were good on their own and with the sauce - probably my favorite falafels I've ever had (so far). Prices are reasonable and service was friendly and fast - I want to say that we waited for our food for about 5 minutes or less. I will definitely be back next time I need a falafel fix!

Falafel Tazah is a casual Middle Eastern grill offering a menu of casual fare packed in takeout boxes. The Vegetarian Combo was a nice sampler of their mezzes including creamy hummus, smokey baba ghanoush, two dolmas, two green falafels, tabbouleh, cucumber/tomato salad, sumac onions, and pickled red cabbage and cucumbers, all served with grilled Jerusalem bakery pita bread. While the dips were decent, the other components could have been better, as the falafels were soft and greasy, and the salads/pickles were overly acidic and sour. On the side came a few sauces including spicy red chili, tahini, and a spicy aioli, all of which were flavorful and enhanced the other components. Overall, while this wasn't the best Middle Eastern food I've had, the prices were fair and the service was friendly!

The fried eggplant added a really nice flavor and texture, super soft and perfectly cooked. Everything together in the pita just worked. Fresh veggies, good sauces, and a solid balance without being too heavy. Portion was generous and filling. You can tell they're using fresh ingredients and putting some care into it, not just throwing it together. Nothing fancy, just really good, satisfying food. Definitely coming back for this again.

This is a generously-sized combination plate with 6 falafel balls, hummus, tabbouleh, 2 dolmas, cabbage, beets, sauerkraut, roasted red bell peppers, salad, pickled turnips, sumac onions, pickled cucumbers, mild banana peppers, garbanzo beans, $16.45 total if you add pita, additional $1.25 to add baba ghannouj. The baba ghannouj is excellent and can be added as a topping (or order separately). The falafel and hummus are good (although the hummus starts to feel a little rich if you eat a lot of it. The beets are good. I should probably ask them to skip the tabbouleh, sauerkraut, and pickles next time because I don't eat those. This plate alone, along with pita bread, was enough to fill my 2 kids and me up. 2.Falafel salad, $18. 6 falafel balls with fattoush salad. This was very good! Dressed with just the right amount of tasty dressing. Good combination of a light-feeling salad with the heftier falafel. This dish alone was probably enough for myself and 1 kid. 3. Mango milk, $5.50. Delicious. Similar to a mango lassi but made with milk instead of yogurt, so it feels a bit lighter. The three of use shared this. Parking available in adjacent lots or on streets.

The chicken was incredible; perfectly cooked, moist, tender, and not at all dry. It paired beautifully with the highly addictive garlic toum and orange hot sauce. The dish also came with a side of pickled vegetables which added a nice balance to the meat. At $18 for a whole chicken that can feed two people, it's an excellent deal! Whole Cauliflower (10/10): The BEST cauliflower I've ever had! It was roasted to perfection, giving it a delicious charred, smoky flavor. The fragrant lemon-tahini dressing added a bright acidity that balanced the dish beautifully. I would absolutely order this every time! Grilled Lamb Chops Plate (9/10): The lamb chops were a bit overcooked, but it was still really tender and flavorful. I only wish there had been more lamb and less rice, but overall, it was still a fantastic dish. Double Kebab plate (8/10): I tried the kofta (beef + lamb), lamb, filet mignon, and shrimp kebabs. The filet mignon and shrimp were my favorites, as they were more tender and less dry than the other options. Still, all of the meats were very well seasoned and flavorful. Next time, I'd opt for the fries instead of the rice, which was also a bit dry. Their fries are the best, super crispy and not too oily! Service: Wait times can be quite long (45-90mins) since the restaurant is usually busy. I wish they accepted reservations, but unfortunately, they don't. Once seated, you can scan the QR code at your table to place your order using your phone. Prices are reasonable, at around $16-$25 per plate. I also love that each dish comes with pita bread and your choice of 2 dips. Ambiance: The restaurant is beautiful, with both indoor and outdoor patio seating. The interior is warm, modern, and inviting, with a spacious layout. Overall, the food was absolutely AMAZING, everything tasted incredibly fresh and vibes were immaculate. I HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try at least once!!

The street wrap was packed with flavor, and the potato wedges were crispy and seasoned really well. One thing I especially recommend trying is their orange hot sauce. If you like spicy food, it's a must-try--the flavor and heat really add something extra to the meal. Overall, everything about Mazra is great. The food is consistently flavorful, the atmosphere is trendy, and it's a really fun place to eat. My only complaints would be the long wait times during peak busy hours and a few instances where the service hasn't been the best on particularly busy days. Sometimes this can affect the overall experience, especially when people in the same group end up receiving their food at different times. Despite those minor issues, Mazra is still a really great spot and definitely somewhere I would recommend checking out. If you enjoy flavorful food and a trendy atmosphere, it's definitely worth a visit!

We genuinely cannot pick a favorite because both are consistently excellent. Our regular order is the chicken gyro salad, loaded with fresh greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled onions, hummus, tzatziki, and a generous portion of chicken gyro meat. Everything tastes fresh, the meat is flavorful with those delicious crispy edges, and the spicy sauce adds exactly the right kick. It is filling without feeling heavy and somehow always hits the spot. Both locations have been remarkably consistent with quality, portions, and flavor. There's something about being able to grab a fresh meal, sit outside alfresco, and just enjoy the California weather that makes everything taste a little better. Nick the Greek always delivered exactly what I needed--quick service, fresh ingredients, and food that felt satisfying without weighing me down. That consistency is what kept me coming back again and again. My go-to order was the gyro salad with pork belly, and to this day I still think about it. It was light but filling, bright and balanced, and never heavy. Crisp lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, feta, tzatziki, rice for substance, and warm pita on the side. I would always swap the red wine vinaigrette for the lemon herb dressing, which tied everything together perfectly. It was, quite simply, the perfect salad. Every time I ordered it, I told myself, "You really should learn how to make this at home." And every time, I didn't--because it was just easier to let Nick the Greek do it for me. What I appreciated most about this location was the reliability. You could walk in hungry, get your food quickly, and know it would taste the same as the last time--fresh, clean flavors, generous portions, and no fuss. That's harder to find than people realize. I moved away in 2023, and now that salad lives in my memory as one of those simple pleasures that made everyday life a little better. If you're in San Carlos and looking for something fresh, fast, and consistently good, this place is a solid choice. And if you find yourself sitting outside on a sunny day with a bowl and a piece of warm pita, take a moment to appreciate it--because someday you might move away and miss it more than you expect.
