Unfortunately I don't have a ton of time to type out a huge reason as to why I'm giving these guys 5 stars, but I'll try and touch on what I can with the time I have. Mike Fallen is a guy who not only performed a spectacular service to me, he's someone whom I actually respect after working with him. His (and his crew's) work is top notch, professional, courteous, kind, careful, and efficient, and I think one of the biggest reasons for that is that he really, really cares about the reputation of his business. We had a situation that came up do to U-Haul not fulfilling their promises to us that necessitated us calling movers at the last minute. It was a Sunday, so most places were closed. Mike answered his phone, though, and agreed (joyfully even) to come work the next day. They arrived promptly when they said they would, at 5:30pm and worked until 11:00pm. They were courteous to my home, my belongings, my friend who was there to help, and most importantly to my wife and 15 month old child. They packed things into our truck in an expert fashion, and after arriving at my destination (we moved from Chicago to Colorado) I can say that so far, as best as I can tell, not a single item was damaged. If you need movers, call these guys. I absolutely loathe Yelp, and committed to never using this forum to give reviews nor review them, but I broke my rule just to be able to let everyone know how good these guys are. If I EVER need a mover in Chicago, Fallen Movers will be, beyond the shadow of a doubt, who I call. So many companies don't care about their customers nor their reputations. Mike knows that the success of his business relies not only on his attitude and work, but respect and reputation, which he has from me. I hired Mike, Terrence, and Neil for a move from a second story walkup on 9/7/16. Put simply, they were the best movers I've ever worked with . Here's why: - Punctual - They showed up on time - and they let me know when they were getting close via text message. - Respectful - They came inside, introduced themselves to my wife and mother-in-law, and were very receptive to asks we all had about the move. - Moving Experts - I've never seen anyone pack a truck as skillfully as Mike, Terrence, and Neil. I ended up with a smaller truck than I had reserved - a truck size that, when we moved to Evanston, was full to the brim (we had to leave things on the curb because the truck was full). When they were done packing, the truck appeared to be less than 2/3 full. The movers I had unload even commented that they had never seen anyone pack a truck as well as Mike, Terrence, and Neil. - Patient - they explained everything that they were doing while they were doing it. It gave us great confidence that they knew what they were doing, but also mitigated any concerns that we had. - Efficient - Despite frequent invitations to take a break, have a snack, etc..., the team kept working feverishly. They finished a 3BR apartment with no elevator in under 2.4 hours. And it rained! These were the best movers I've ever worked with - affable, diligent, and experts in packing a truck. There's really no reason to look somewhere else - if you have nice things that you don't want broken, hire Mike and his team. I promise you won't be disappointed! read more

Fallen Movers (Mike and Neal) came and moved me out today. They arrived right when they said that they would and were incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a lot of stuff and probably should have rented the next bigger truck, however the two of them took the time to arrange everything just right and fit it all in which I really appreciated (and I mean it took a few attempts because I completely underestimated the size of truck I needed). I really appreciated their patience, care with handling my stuff, and making sure that everything was done before taking off. I highly recommend them, I picked their service based off the reviews that they had and the reviews were spot on. They also happened to mention that they only schedule two moves per moving group a day in order to make sure that they aren't overbooked and keeping people waiting. I mean how awesome is that? I've been the last move of the day before and the movers end up being incredibly behind because they overbooked themselves. You do have to rent your own truck, but honestly the cost ends up being similar (and was actually cheaper for me) than hiring guys who do have a truck. Call them, I wouldn't have been able to do the move without them! I've moved a few times in my day and can honestly say Mike and Neil are probably two of the best movers I've ever had. Their reviews on Yelp were nothing short of five stars, so I thought it made sense to give 'em a try. My boyfriend and I were not disappointed. Mike was the one who ran the logistics and gave advice on what size truck to rent (he would know since he personally moves your stuff!) - super friendly and courteous on the phone and gets back to you in a timely manner. He and Neil (also just as awesome) arrived right on time and moved our stuff with such ease and grace, they made it look like those boxes were empty. The whole move was done quickly, and in no time, we were on our way to the storage place where without skipping a beat, they quickly got to work unloading the truck. I had shopped around getting quotes from other movers, and comparatively speaking, Fallen Movers was the most affordable. We saved money AND had a hassle-free move. When it came time to move our stuff out of storage, of course we called Mike and Neil again. Just like before, they showed up on time, got to work right away moving those boxes quickly and easily, and as always, smiling and laughing while they worked. Would I hire them again? Yes. Would I recommend them to a friend? Absolutely. Worth every penny! read more

If I could give Fallen Movers a better than 5 rating I would. They were fantastic! I live in Cincinnati and had to find movers to load my Uhaul in Chicago. Looked on Uhaul's site and found Fallen Movers. Read the reviews and since they had good reviews decided to go with them. Now I know why they have such great reviews. Mike Fallen returned my call immediately and was in constant contact with me until the move. He was there at 11 am on the dot exactly when he said he would be. He brought Neil and Terrance with him. All 3 were incredible friendly, polite, but most importantly professional and knew what they were doing. I had some furniture my mom was taking and some I was with 2 separate stops once we were back in Cincinnati. They packed in a way that my Cincinnati movers would have an easy time removing. They also made sure I knew what each piece was in the truck. AND they did it all early. I was really worried since I was at their mercy being from out of town and they didn't disappoint! If I could give infinite stars I would! Fallen Movers came through at the last minute when another company bailed. The owner Mike Fallen and two crew guys Neil and Terrence are moving magicians. They fit all my stuff into a uhaul ten footer in under an hour and were super relaxed, sweet, funny and kind. I couldn't believe they fit everything in one haul. Absolutely ridiculous Tetris skills! None of my furniture was wrapped and everything came out without a scratch. Even my most diva plants were in perfect shape. They made moving actually enjoyable. Also Mike gave me a time frame for when they would arrive but let me know that with traffic and other jobs there is always a possibility for delay. They did end up arriving past the estimated window but Mike communicated the whole time and I really appreciated that he was up front and stayed in touch. The price was also extremely good for the service. Today I am energetically unpacking, thanks to them. I truly can't say enough about Fallen Movers. HIRE AND TIP THESE GUYS :) :)!!! Fallen Movers is incredible. I have never been more impressed with movers in my life. I moved during POURING rain, so everything was already more stressful than the normal stress of a move. Fallen Movers did such a great job that they really eased most of that stress. Fallen Movers arrived exactly on time and ready to move. They moved me out of my third floor walk up apartment, then my boyfriend out of his third floor walk up and unloaded everything in 3.5 hours (including travel time). I was amazed that they were able to do everything so quickly and efficiently. I had a lot of furniture, a few pretty big pieces, and a couple of very large paintings, nothing was damaged in the move/rain, everything was packed away perfectly and arrived to my new home in perfect condition. The guys are incredibly nice, and such hard workers. I can not think of anyone I'd trust with my possessions more than them. The price was also unbeatable. Absolutely the best! These are not your typical movers. I've moved every year for the past 8 years and Fallen Movers are the best crew I've ever worked with. I had hired a different group movers off of craigslist and they never showed up to help me unload my Uhaul. In a panic I called Fallen Movers and they showed up 30 minutes later with smiles on their faces and completed the job faster and with more care than I would've imagined (same day service!) - and for the same price. They are professional, polite and respectful of my things and my wishes. They had to carry my 10ft couch up into a 4-story walk-up and navigated the winding staircase with the 300lb beast with ease. They are extremely professional, friendly, capable and you wont feel hesitant leaving them around your things like most movers. You wont have any regrets hiring this crew, they are the best. I was going to hire two men and a truck, but the cost was the same even if I didn't need their truck. They were also going to charge me travel time from wherever they were coming from to my condo. I did some research and found Fallen Movers. I'm not a review person, but I read the reviews on here and decided to hire them. I was extremely nervous and worried that they wouldn't show up or would damage my items, but they were fantastic!! They called to let me know they were in the area and could show up early if I wanted. It was supposed to be 2 people, but they showed up with 3 and didn't charge me extra. I was having them unload a 10' truck of furniture (bed, dining & living room) and they jumped right in. They were very cautious/careful not to hit the walls in a tight corner section of my hallway. They were extremely courteous, professional & polite. I am going to hold on to their business card in case anyone needs some dependable hardworking movers. read more

The quick run down is this: on time, professional, not a ding in any of my furniture or building walls, positive guys, great management, and local owner-run business. I loved it. I moved from Boston to Chicago several months ago. Arrived with a truck packed by other movers to a typical 4+1 building with my parents in tow on a day it was in the teens and threatening to snow. Mike was great to schedule with in advance, and on the day of Neil and Maurice were an absolute joy to work with. Not only did they unpack and move all of my stuff up into my unit efficiently, but they stayed afterwards to help me and my parents assemble an IKEA bed and an IKEA couch. Then they asked if they could help put anything else away. Throughout the process, so much positivity and encouragement from each of them, my day was certainly worse when they left! Can't say enough great things about Mike and his team, and will be recommending them to everyone I can. read more

I hired Fallen Movers a couple of weeks ago. There were three guys and they did an awesome job. My expectations were exceeded because they finished the job in less than two hours. I was moving out of an one bedroom apartment. The best part of the move was how my items were packed into the U-Haul. I moved to a location outside the city, and I had to drive on the highway. None of my items were damaged and none of them moved during the entire trip. I would strongly recommend Fallen Movers. Mike Fallen, the owner, also gave me some useful tips on how to store my items in storage. Fallen Movers do not transport your items, so you have to have your own rented truck. I rented my U-Haul from the one in Lakeview by Broadway and Irving Park. The guys at this location were somewhat helpful. Make sure you ask a lot of questions. read more

We hired Fallen Movers to load our moving truck for a cross-country move, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Chicago moving company! The owner Mike was responsive and helpful in getting our team scheduled, and our moving crew was incredible. They were right on time, and immediately got down to wrapping our furniture and planning the order of items. They packed the truck perfectly, even balancing the load so it would be okay on mountain roads. And they were especially careful of our cat who was rightfully stressed-- she especially loved Maurice! Maurice, Neil, and Victor were a great crew and got everything packed quickly and efficiently. It was also a great price for what we needed! I called Mike with only about a week before I was ready to move, and he was able to accommodate my request. I value customer service as much as cost and and quality of work; Mike and his crew were the trifecta! He, Maurice, and Chris went above and beyond on a hot day to protect all of my furniture and ensure they got everything I needed loaded up at a more than reasonable cost. They were extremely customer focused, and without a doubt some of the most polite and just genuine dudes I have met. I am hoping this is my last move, but I will be referring Fallen Movers to everyone and anyone I know looking for movers going forward. Mike and Neil were life savers when they helped me move a couple weeks ago! I had set up a moving appt with a different moving company and not only did that company not show up but they dodged my calls all day! So I went on the uhaul website because I remember from a while back that they had a section where you can get moving help. After I seen good reviews for Fallen Movers I decided to give them a call AND go out Ima limb and see if they would be available that very day. And after hearing my experience mike said he would come! When both of the gentlemen showed up they did everything in such a professional and timely manner! I can't express enough how amazing Fallen Movers are. This is my third time with them and each time they have gone above and beyond to ensure my move was a success. Fallen Movers were a godsend. They were the friendliest and most positive guys, despite moving my one bedroom apartment down a long outdoor corridor and up three flights of stairs in the rain! They were on time and very professional, but always had a smile on their faces. They were also great at communicating beforehand--- I got to my apartment early, and they were texting me to give me updates on time. I also had some nice furniture and a couple antique pieces from my grandparents (meaning personal value + very HEAVY solid wood!) and they got everything up here without a scratch. I just finished a move with Mike and his men. These guys were the only good thing about my day. They were very flexible given the fact that budget didn't have a truck for me, even though I reserved one over a month ago. They were the most professional careful movers I have ever worked with. They carried all the heavy items carefully minding the wood floors and walls. When I received a second truck (because budget could get me one large one as requested) they stayed the entire time making sure I was taken care of. Fallen Movers - Best experience!! I have moved from GA-CA, CA-GA and just moved GA-IL. Neil and Maurice were the two unloaders that showed up to unload a 26 foot truck that was full to the max. It took them 2 hours to unload the entire truck. - They asked me where every single item went. - They managed to bring a washer, dryer, recliner and deep freezer down 1 story into a basement with an extremely narrow staircase. - The communication and teamwork between these two is nothing short of amazing. -The attitude and politeness is far above par. I moved to Chicago at the start of September - I hired Mike to unload a moving pod that was being delivered. The pod was going to arrive within a very specific window, so it was imperative that Mike and Neil also arrive promptly within that window. And they absolutely did. They were not only extremely prompt, but also very courteous, friendly, honest, and extremely efficient. They were true professionals.
