We were seated after a few minutes at a table in the corner, which had enough room for the four of us. I had settled on the Triple D breakfast, while my husband had settled on the eggs benedict, and my kids the French toast bites and kids egg breakfast. Overall, the food was well-portioned, and cooked well. We could tell that the ingredients were fresh, and that the chef took his/her time to cook the meal, as the eggs were cooked completely through. Considering the prices that we had paid, we were stuffed, and didn't have to eat until later on in the evening. The food did take long though, and we had to wait in-line for a bit to pay for the bill. Service was good, as the waitress came to check on us a few times during our meal. Overall, a great place to start the day!

Discovering Niko's Place was the foodie equivalent of witnessing the majestic Niagara Falls. And Niko's more than delivered on both food and service. Located on a street with a small dirt parking lot in a small building, you would have no idea the food treasures you are about to unpack. With just a couple of larger picnic benches and one table with a few seats inside, it's small venue a bit subject to the weather. But even with the heat on this particular day, Niko and his wife were so friendly and kind. From being patient because we didn't have Canadian dollars ready (This place is cash only! But there is an ATM nearby), to friendly chatter and smiles, you can tell they love what they do. As for the food, we went a little crazy and ordered fish and chips, poutine, and even a burger. All worth it. The Poutine (get the mix, which has curds and shredded cheese) was one of the best I've ever had. The bottom started with beautifully plump fries that were lightly crispy on the outside and full of potato goodness on the inside. On the next layer, they had plenty of their mild and full-of-umami cheese curds which was melted just right with some texture from the curds combined with tons of ooey-gooey goodness. And this was all topped off with a generous ladle of a beefy, savory gravy packed with flavor, all without being too salty. Can you tell I love poutine? But wait, there's more! The Fish and chips, which used the same perfect fries for the chips, was an unexpected home run. The Fish was so flaky and tender with just the right bit of crispy breading. And the homemade tartar sauce was creamy, a little sweet and really pulled the whole dish together. And finally, the burger was undeniably delicious and could easily have been a favorite if not for the insane line up. Needless to say, my cravings were satisfied. My stomach is still singing praises days after the visit. The only downside is that I don't know if I can have poutine or even fish and chips elsewhere for a while for the risk that it won't compare to the experience at Niko's. So yes, locals and tourists alike - run there now if you have never been so you can count down the days till your next visit, like me.

From the moment you land, you're surrounded by awesome alien and UFO décor that's fun, nostalgic, and packed with personality. If you're looking for a place with zero atmosphere... this isn't it. This place is out of this world. The crew here is incredibly friendly and welcoming, proving that if aliens ever do visit Earth, they're apparently running this restaurant. The food deserves its own five stars. We had the Eggs Benedict, Belgian waffles, perfectly crispy home fries, and the absolutely massive 12-ounce steak and eggs. Every bite was fantastic, the portions were enormous, and the prices were shockingly reasonable for Niagara Falls. One of the coolest touches? Instead of waiting for coffee refills, they leave a whole carafe of hot coffee on your table. My caffeine levels reached escape velocity, and I was perfectly happy about it. Here's the biggest compliment I can give: we came back the very next morning because we couldn't stop thinking about it. Same amazing food, same friendly service, same awesome atmosphere. Whether you're a local, a tourist, or just passing through this corner of the galaxy, make this your first breakfast stop. Trust me--this is one UFO sighting you'll actually want to tell everyone about.

A club sandwich! How ling does it take to assemble a sandwich!?! We were all done eating when he got the sandwich. My BLT had maybe 2 pieces of bacon on it. It was a huge let down. Honestly the interior wasn't even all that cool.

I thought I'm going to have to check this place out for myself. So here's what I discovered. The food is okay, not amazing but just okay. Probably the lowest priced breakfast I have seen in Niagara Falls. They do not offer you free water, it's all bottled. Coffee is 4 bucks, which is pretty standard. I think the modus operandi is this: they get you in with the cheap buffet and then up charge you for anything else you want to order. Which I get, the buffet is always a loss leader, and they get you on the drinks which are marked up significantly. So let's talk about the buffet itself. Based on what I read from the other reviews, the hot ticket would be to get there right when it opens. That way the food has just come out, it's fresh and hot, and there is enough of it. I had the eggs, the sausage, and a piece of French toast and a waffle. I did go back for seconds to get a bowl of fruit, and try out the tater tots. The food was okay. Again, not the greatest I've ever had and not the worst I've ever had. It was a perfunctory breakfast. But again I tell you you need to get the right when they open to get the best stuff. Would I go here again? I don't think so. There are plenty of other places in Niagara Falls that are way better for just a little bit more money. However, if you have a group of people you're trying to feed on the cheap, this is a place to go. Case in point while I was there, two busloads of Mennonites came in and swarmed the buffet. Bottom line? It's a cheap breakfast, and you will walk out of there for under 20 bucks if you just have a coffee.

They were nice but definitely rushing us, even to pay. Ambiance was okay. Bright and peaceful. Also, I did not check the reviews before going.

We were fortunate to be seated, as they take reservations only through their website at pariscrepescafe.com. After 5pm Friday and throughout the weekend (as well as every bank holiday) street parking is free, in an attempt to lure customers. It's fair to say the neighborhood is, "in transition", but the blocks around this restaurant are lovely. Every shop is a small business owner, with none of the chain stores that plague downtown. We were seated immediately. The restaurant does breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and has a nice list of wines and coffees. Our waiter was very friendly and professional. The French press coffee was spectacular, and the Chantilly cream I ordered as a side was spritzed into my coffee cup with every refill. (I always say, "yes" to schlag Sahne!) The menu has about 12 choices of gallettes (savory) and 12 choices of crepes (sweet). Both are thin buckwheat pancakes with extensive, yummy fillings. It was hard to choose just one! I opted for the galette Thalassa, which is filled with a mesclun salad, cherry tomato halves, mandolined radish and cucumber and red onion strings, covered with lox, capers, a dab of sour cream and a teaspoon of black caviar. It was a feast! My husband had the galette Savoyard, with a scrambled egg and prosciutto. I can tell he liked it by his silence after it was put in front of him! We're thinking of cancelling other plans tomorrow to come here again!
