When I arrived at this location the parking lot was packed, but there were plenty of spaces. When it came to the shopping experience, no true complaints here. The aisles were well stocked, the merchandise was reasonably priced, and they had everything I needed. When it came time to check out, it wasn't a nightmare like some other locations. In the end, this was a great shopping experience and it will be out go to location in the future.

I needed…read moreto get some Walmart things, you know like detergent, candles, toothpaste etc. This is why I love my occupation, I get to see, experience, scratch off my bucket list and I'm what they call WELL ROUNDED. This particular Walmart sits off the highway, I mean I'm was going 65 mph in the fast lane and up pops this Walmart. Weird to me because it literally sits off the high, it's not like I got off the expressway hahaha see my new verbiage aka fwy/highway? Getting back on was another challenge, it was like the video game Frogie--am I telling my age? I'm sure but babaaa, I damn sure don't look it! Yeah, I be trying to keep up with 2024! I'm a "G" grandma, getit but my G-baby calls me G-Na. Sorry I got carried away, it's about Yelp not me. Ok, so I visited this Walmart in Massachusetts and it was weird parking underground, luckily it was early am so I was able to park close. Wherever and whenever I park, I'm always looking for camera's and they had plenty. I like that because that's SAFETY, we have to be safe, watch your surroundings or your family members won't have answers--if you catch my drift. Anywho, this Walmart had all my speciality item I get when I'm in Texas, again if you follow me...many States don't have items/brands I'm accustomed to. The store was clean, stock and neat shelves. I found some Spring Rolls which I couldn't find in their local grocery stores. This particular Walmart offered free plastic bags so I didn't have to purchase any, I'm ALWAYS FORGETTING TO BRING MY REUSABLE BAGS----uuuuug! Many lines open for checkout so 5 stars Walmart! There was a large entrance with escalators leading up into the store. This escalator system also has a carriage escalator for going down only which is very convenient for large full carriages. There is also access by elevator. Once entering the store, the grocery section is over to the right. The fruits and vegetables are usually laid out nicely and looks pretty clean. There's also a very small deli where they can slice you. There is a prepackaged meat section. Take your chances. Then many many isles of grocery and food type items. Basically like a huge supermarket. if you go further down to the straight ahead or left, you will enter the regular isles of the store and it would be set up like every Walmart in your town. I have been here numerous times to go to Walmart to get some. That being said I have had many bad experiences with customer service.. It just doesn't seem to exist at this location. Most of the employees on the floor can't even answer a simple question because they don't speak English. The clerks at the register two out of 10 are polite, courteous, and do their job correctly. The customer service area they're just rude and ignorant as were the two managers I spoke with. I actually tried to call corporate one day because one of the managers were so inconsiderate, rude mean and thinking they were some kind of big shot. Never seen a manager act like this. Maybe they shouldn't as managers until they get better people skills. That being said, the pricing is the same as every Walmart in the area. Items usually look fully stocked. Electronics you will never find anyone to help you except people trying to sell your phone service that don't work for Walmart. All be like me and just go there when it is a necessity..

I'll be honest, I go to Target at least a couple times a week... it's like a one stop shop for me & gets the job done. This one seemed to have more stuff I typically don't see though, which I liked! Only thing I was annoyed about was, many things required staff to come help and open. You need to get a staff member to open a case. Who has time for that? There used to be bustling lines of people as cashiers did their thing, and now customers are shunted to self-checkout, where a worker watches you do their job. On the other hand, the food selection was impressive. That was a nice surprise. In another world, where Target counts as "going out for the day" (I'm not quite ready for retirement) and not "a place I need to stop by to pick up a few things," I could see myself coming here for staples and weekly items. But, that time is not now. The atmosphere seems sad. The workers are focused on wheeling around large gurneys of product to stock the shelves. Do I really want to bother them to point to something behind glass and ask them if I could please have it? I'm not a child. If I want something, I should be able to place it in my cart and not have to look around to find someone to ask permission to have it. I remember when Target was "the" place to go to for a variety of things. Why did they have to make it harder to shop there? Ok - just read about the $500 million "shrink" due to theft. So, I guess that's a good reason. Someone smarter than me, I'm sure, has looked at the cost of theft prevention measures vs. the cost of losing customers, and here we are.

She then went to check to see if I had a points reward card. I didn't and she did not offer to sign me up for one so I could get points on the purchase I was making, which was over $200. The person I was with went to a different cashier, declined the credit card offer, and the cashier offered to sign them up for a points card. They were apparently short-staffed, so they simply closed the Amazon returns counter and put a sign there saying it was unavailable. The problem is there were no signs at the entrance or on the windows letting customers know before walking in. I had to carry all of my return items through the entire store only to find out the service was closed once I got to the back. If a major service like Amazon returns is unavailable, customers should be informed before entering the store. This was poorly handled and a complete waste of time. Kohl's needs to do a much better job communicating with customers.

It's a shame, really, for one of the last remaining brick and mortar department stores to treat customers this way.
