    Feeding a pig
    Lisa T.

I visited the Family Farm with a group of about 75 2nd grade students for a field trip. The price was $26, (but that also included buses.). We were there in October and the farm was decorated for fall and had age-appropriate fall activities. The students painted mini pumpkins, went through 2 corn-type mazes, went on a tractor flatbed ride and got to feed many, many animals. The weather was perfect when we were there and the students had a wonderful time! There were so many animals to feed: chickens, goats, bunnies, pigs, and cows. They gave the students a huge supply of veggies like carrots and ears of corn to feed the animals. Of course the animals loved the greats and many followed the students around. During free time there were cool swings in some of the trees that could let multiple students swing at a time, tractor tires that the students could play on, and even a bounce house they could go in about 5 or 6 at a time. It was a very "open" experience, and the staff really let us set the rules and then kids kind of had a free run! We had lunch there on picnic tables and since staff was minimal the teachers/chaperones had to be on patrol so the goats and chickens didn't become too aggressive and help themselves to our students' lunches. The kids thought the goats and chickens on the table while they were eating was hilarious! The only other negative thing was the bathroom situation. (Porta potties) I would definitely recommend Family Farm to elementary age students. Our kids had an amazing time and many of them had never been to a farm before, or seen chickens, goats, and cows. I hope I get to go back next year!

After visiting another farm a few weeks ago I can easily say this one was better. There's no real admission fee but to be able to 'participate' you're going to end up buying at very reasonable prices. We went on a Saturday and many families were there with their kids. There is food for purchase and fun to be had. Our child had a blast with the free roaming animals (chickens and goats) and was able to feed many of the other animals after purchasing a food bag which has a decent amount of food for the animals. The bag is paper which is nice in case of any litter bugs it won't cause harm to the animals. The bonfire was burning at five when we arrived and definitely helps with mosquitoes or flies so that's extra pleasant in south Florida. The animals are well taken care of and well fed. Not a huge variety of animals buy more than enough for your child to have a blast and you to tolerate going back. I'd recommend this place. Live & Love!

As you can see, we are here in the pouring rain. They give hay rides, pony rides, and animals that you can pet. We came here for our daughter because she wanted fresh eggs. The eggs we got were so fresh that the eggs are still warm. Right now it is sunflower season. They are only open to the public on Thursday-Sun. The woman who spoke to Max told him they are an entertainment center meaning weddings, birthdays, and corporate events.

What a fun family place. This place is a hidden gem. Perfect for kids and adult. My friends and I decided to go strawberry picking. Since they were late I decided to snack before they arrived. I had their 4 piece ribs. It was juicy and meaty. I was happy with it. The strawberry picking was super fun. It had rain that day so the fields were wet. We made the best out of it. The staff was wonderful. Parking is free and easy. I definitely recommend this spot. I had a great time.

This is really a great farm, to come and visit with your family. Easy parking, free entrance, sweet little animals and some activities for kids. It's much smaller compared to other farms and there are no fancy restrooms or place to wash hands. Actually there was a sink to rinse hands two years ago but lately it's been broken and didn't work on our two last visits. So bring your water and soap to wash hands if you are about to make s'mores or eat anything else. Some kids can be mean to animals and there is no one supervising that.. so PARENTS - please watch your kids and don't let them abuse animals. Some people I know don't come here anymore just because they witness animal abuse and no longer want to come here. I personally have just seen just some chicken chasing.. thankfully nothing worse. This farm is beautiful at pumpkins patch, Christmas time and they have delicious strawberries during spring months. They also have pony rides, and tractor rides to feed cows. Lots of fun for your little ones! Don't come when it's pouring rain, the farm might be closed due to flood and mud. Also wear your old snickers as it will get messy. Definitely not a place for high heels and showing off.

I came over for pizza as they have a vendor that makes wood fire oven on Saturdays after 12p And it's really good It's also a great outdoor place for the the little ones to go on a pony ride and or feed the bunnies, and goats... etc It's a nice little farm. They have a few other vendors too. But the pizza is a must try You'll find some park tables where Eto'o can seat and enjoy your time out in the open My husband loves the Meat lovers and I the tomato and cheese one

We've come here a few times and each time it has been a blast. On the weekends they have the bbq going and sell bbq. I was surprised how cheap price and good the ribs were. Corn on the cob still in the husk was perfect!!! We picked strawberries. And tonight we went at 7:30 pm and had dinner and made s'mores with the large fire they had. It's just so fun and so close to the city. It's laid back and worth the trip. A few improvements would make this place even better. I'd like to see more things to do. Maybe some cornhole games? More food options? The nachos with the cheese from the squeeze bottle was not good. Maybe a food truck night? Maybe a live band? The opportunity is endless but I'm still so pleased with it now. It's free to just use walk around and see the animals.

This was an odd (but nice?) place.. My boyfriend and I came for a fun, outdoor activity, but when we got out of our car and walked toward the farm, we were a little confused as to what to do. Two ponies, multiple chickens, and a couple goats were just roaming the property. One pig, one bunny, and two tortoises lived in a pen next to each other (the bunny was separate). Some cows and two goats (or rams?) were in a larger pen. I wish there were more bunnies because that poor bunny was being smothered by children! The staff members were wearing regular clothes, so we had no idea who we was working for the farm or not. Eventually we made our way to the little produce shop, and the employee explained what we could do. We asked about the archery, but she said they weren't ready to be used by the public yet. We bought produce to feed the animals, and then set out to do it. It was pretty fun! (I'm a sucker for petting farm animals.) This place has a lot of potential. I wish the staff was easier to identify, and there was a more clear set up. I recommend the staff getting specific shirts to wear for that reason.

    Strawberry picking anyone?

If you have young children 12 & under, this is the place to be! I absolutely LOVE The Berry Farms! I love it so much that I have taken the hour drive just to go there! Their food is so delicious! They have the most beautiful pumpkin patch set up in Oct-Nov and beautiful Christmas set up as well! I love taking my kids there for photo shoots! They have a variety of backdrops set up for your photography needs. Their field trip package is top notch! My students were soooo happy! They didn't want to leave and for days they talked about how it was the best field trip ever! They received a tour, picked strawberries, ate their lunch that came with the most delicious shake (chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry). Then they played! They have 2 different playgrounds, an obstacle course area, a large field with fake grass- where you can play soccer, a giant outdoor Connect Four, giant outdoor Jenga. There's also a corn pit, and what the kids seem to love the most - the giant trampoline! Let's not forget the tractor ride! They also host a variety of events throughout the year. They have the most beautiful field! Now let's talk about this mouth watering food! They sell burgers, chicken tenders, foot long sausages (with the works - if you wish), ice cream, shakes, a massive Belgium waffle with ice cream, strawberries & hazelnut drizzle - mmmmmm! There's also BBQ, but I haven't had that, but I'm sure it's delicious! Take your family and enjoy a great day out! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Love to visit with the grandkids. Such fun things to do and always different. Love feeding the animals!

Cows in the dirt, chicken wired fence.

So the service was crap no one acknowledges you I didn't know if the little tents for cotton candy were people from the farm or hired out but they were the only employees I could see, no one said hello, where to go, nothing. On top of that the cows are emaciated skeletons. They were in a fenced pen in dirt no grass or anything and had sores on them and looked like they were dying. It was really sad. I'm not a farmer but this was awful to see. I hope someone helps these poor cows.

They always encouraged me to come back, and I did. Quality is OK day-of. Most of it needs to be eaten quickly. For instance their watermelon or mangoes wont be good after a week. This family owned farmers market is in it's own small building. It was very interesting to me because this is the first place I found that sells raw milk. It is not something I personally drink but advocates claim that the pasteurization of milk destroys the nutrients, enzymes, and good bacteria. Benefits of raw milk may include more nutrients, improved digestion, and enhanced immune function. Others believe that the benefits are outweighed by health risks associated with consuming raw dairy products. The raw products sold here state they are not for human consumption. In addition to raw milk they also sell raw milk kefir, raw yogurt, raw cheese, raw butter, and raw milk ice cream. Other products they sell include organic produce grown in Southwest Ranches, local honey, hormone free and grass fed meat and seafood, farm fresh eggs, bath and beauty products, bread, and fresh made key lime pies. Staff was on hand to helpfully answer customers questions. I do believe that food is medicine and that it can heal you. This market subscribes to that philosophy. It is a niche for people who don't mind paying more to know where there food comes from, want clean ingredients, or are into a particular lifestyle choice. If you are looking for a large selection or inexpensive prices, this is probably not for you but I enjoyed my visit.
