The space is great, nice big cozy chairs, and great foot soak, but when we walked in the woman was abrupt and didn't smile and welcome us, she just shuffled us into a room. The place was super cold which made it difficult to enjoy the massage and when I asked for a blanket they simply put a towel over me which wasn't enough. It would've been nice to have some music on in the background since it's a spa. Instead I heard the heavy breathing of my massage therapist and the creaking of the chair next to me which made it challenging to relax. This place could be absolutely awesome if they just had a little more customer service, turn the heat up and put some soft music on. Sometimes it's the little details that make an experience a lot better. I really want to like this place because it's right up the street from my house, hopefully the owner will read this and fine-tune a couple of things. read more

I've been coming here for nearly 4 years. When I'm in town and in a rush Family Spa is my go to. For the price this place cannot be beaten. It's not fancy but it's always clean, relaxing, and the masseuses are excellent. You'll hear the phone ring, sometimes people talk too loud but that's what you get with a $60 massage. Had an excellent massage here; only reason I won't give it 5 stars is the lack of ability to really communicate your wishes; however, she got into my problem areas. To Vicki E--putting tips on a credit card causes the owner of the salon to have to pay taxes on employee's tips as earned income as opposed to the employee who gets the tip dealing with paying (or not paying) the taxes herself--hence her refusal to put it on your card. I came here with my boyfriend on a last minute whim. I called at 7:30 and they got us both in at 9:00. The massage was great. At first I was adverse to the use of elbows and slapping but after I left I felt amazing! I had a lot of pain before but now it is almost completely gone! Today was my third visit at this location. All 3 massages were with Amy. I think she is great! She is strong yet gentle. The first massage I had with her, she really saved me from not being able to function. My muscles tend to get really tight and if I don't take care of myself-I'll get zapped of all energy. Massage is self care. I find the place to be clean and pleasant. I would not listen to the negative reviews. I have had foot massages at the other location and I know that the water was clean. Awful. Awful. Awful. I guess you get what you pay for... I came here on a recommendation of a friend and I had high hopes that I would get an amazing experience. It fell a lot shorter than I had ever imagined. First of all, they can't understand you at all when you call so when I arrived for my "appointment" they said I didn't have one, seriously, you take a phone number but no name?? and then say I never made an appointment?! Ugh! Anyway, I was able to get in after having to wait for about 30 minutes (like I don't have other things to do!) They gave me a male masseuse after I told them I strongly prefer a female. He got started after leaving me in the room on the table for what seemed like 15 minutes. He beat up by back so bad I had small bruises up and down my spine the following day. He also kept leaving the room too for whatever reason. ONly coming back once with a warm (correction, scalding hot) towel to briskly and roughly rub the oil off my back. He also did this weird stretching thing with my legs which I wouldn't have minded so much if I had not been completely nekky under the blankets. He lifted my legs as far up as they would go and I'm pretty sure he was looking under the sheet........ It was the most unrelaxing experience of my life. I felt almost abused. I will never go back. Avoid this place if you can. Do yourself a favor and spend the little extra dough to get a PROFESSIONAL massage from someone who knows what they are doing and do it with some professionalism. The only time I get a good massage here is when I get one of the older female ladies. I received a massage from one of the men in there since we came a little late and i kept asking him to be more firm he would grunt and continue his lame sissy massage. I love this place. Got in a bad snowboarding accident few years ago and was broken up bad. After physical therapy I was still not 100% and in pain. This was the best medicine ever. Tipping is customary, as is remembering to bring cash to do so. It makes sense to ask about your satisfaction level, so they can continue to improve. Promising to make up for it next time, and then doing so would have been the best response. I tip big there because their pricing is so reasonable, and the facilities so comfortable--not to mention a better massage than those for which I used to pay double. Only thing standing between four and five stars is that the language difference can be a little inconvenient. They are open 12 hours every day and seem to be prepared to handle more. Please support. I went in for a deep tissue massage. It was half way between a Swedish and a deep tissue. The people were very nice could not speak English very well. They PREFER cash. I have gotten a 3 full body massages total and all have been walk ins! This place is nice inside as well. Walk in with dim lights and escorted to the room. They don't really greet you once your in the room, basically laying there face down and they come in although, my third massage, they greeted me for the first time with "hello" overall, 40 bucks cash for a 1 hour massage! My mom and step dad went in here for a massage and they had a coupon. At first they were told the coupon was only for cash, which they don't usually carry. Then they said they would take the card for $5 more each. When they went in for the massages, they were HORRIBLE. They didn't listen when my mom said it was too hard. After the massage my mom paid and then the man said "what about our tip?!" My mom explained that the massage was terrible and felt they didn't deserve a tip. He basically blocked the door so they couldn't leave before they tipped. My mom pulled out her wallet, all she had was $5 so she gave it to them. He laughed at her and said "that's it?! That's not enough!!" My mom said that was all she had and then told them she was never coming back. Horrible place to get massages. Do not get a massage here. Not even worth it if you have a coupon. Poor customer service, bad massages, and HORRIBLE overall experience. You are better off flushing your money down the toilet. read more

I really do love this place. Obviously, you can't go in expecting the five star day spa treatment. I don't think I've ever had the same massage therapist twice but they all have ridiculously strong hands -- both men and women alike. I have done foot reflexology and full body massage and have enjoyed both. I have had more good experiences than bad. My only "bad" experience was a 90 minute massage where almost an hour was spent on my shoulders when my lower back -- my problem area -- was hardly touched. This was with a therapist that is the favorite of two of my friends, though, so he isn't normally off-mark. I guess everyone is entitled to an off day. And you really can't beat the price. read more

My daughter took me to get a massage for my birthday. We got to the spot at noon, but they had us down for 1pm. Awkward! But nonetheless they were able to accommodate us ~ great!! We had a double bed room, it was nice and dark with soft music playing. There was no where to put our clothes but a small chair. I was a little embarrassed because I had forgotten to shave my legs! I always wondered if that bothers the masseurs. I still got great service and the massage itself was awesome! I would definitely go back again! The prices are reasonable. I had the worst experience on Tuesday. When I booked an appointment I asked for a female for me and a male for my boyfriend. They gave me a male and when I did something nothing was changed. The guy pressed so hard and when I asked for it softer he didn't change the pressure at all. When he got to my head he stretched my scalp so hard with his nails that I was literally wincing in pain. He also pressed so hard that I have bruises. Then at the end when I tipped them I was told I wasn't tipping enough. How rude! I always tip above what is expected and to tell me a tip, which is not always given, wasn't enough is in bad form! I'm never going back there. read more
