The ribs were a bit salty, the brisket could have used a but more seasoning but not terrible, but the chicken was pretty good. It came with two sides and Texas toast (which tasted old as hell and I literally LOVE BREAD). I chose the Wilbur beans and mac and cheese. The beans were hella good, BUT THE MAC AND CHEESE HAD CORN IN IT like who makes mac and cheese with corn !!?? Needless to say freaking yuck !i also ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri and it was amazing ! My wife ordered the 2 meat plate with brisket and wings. You already know about the brisket BUT THEM WINGS sooo good! Her sides were coleslaw (gross) and honestly I forgot the other one. But it seemed she liked it. Shit she ate it all lol. The service was amazing, everyone was very friendly and pleasant and took the time to ensure I had an enjoyable visit and meal. However, the food was really dry and not tasty at all. I got the beef brisket combo and the brisket was really dry, not what I had pictured I would be getting. They have a variety of sauces to try, but it still wasn't enough to mask the dry brisket. I was cleaning out my car and found this menu tucked in the glove compartment -- and then remembered I had saved it in order to do a review here, but forgot. But it's still worth it to me to put this in here because I drove from San Francisco to Tampa and this was definitely one of my most memorable meals of the entire journey! I am a huge fan of brisket and Dave's by far was one of the best I have ever had in my life. For me to remember it a year later says a lot. This is the one BBQ joint I went to while in El Paso, and I tell you it was good. Had beef brisket and BBQ chicken, the meat came right off and it tasted sooo good. (It's hard to get good food when on the road, just my observation!) Costs a bit but it isn't Morton's Steakhouse expensive by any means. Wish I had more of that BBQ. There needs to be a negative star: on Mother's Day, we call in to order a salmon plate at 11:45am, Of course we didn't get that far...we ask to place a take out order and are told immediately that it should be ready by 5:00pm. My wife thought that surely she misheard and asks again to place a take out order. The girl then says to hold so she can ask her manager. When she returns, she states the same time frame, stating that they have all orders filled out for the day. My wife asks, "so we had to make a reservation for a take out?" The girl says, "oh no we don't take taking reservations".
