Hey. Not bad for a steakhouse. Its average. And I do mean middle of the road. The pricing is fair given the quality. This is not a high end steakhouse. But again, for the price. Absolutely would come here again. The service was fast and fairly accurate. Although when our meals were delivered to the table....it was like all side had been switched on our plates... The restaurant is very welcoming. When you walk inside, you can walk right over and see all of these beautiful steaks through the windows, likely aging. Inside the restaurant is a beautiful modern look. The restaurant has trees glittering all throughout. The decor was lovely lovely and also highly entertaining for your children. Staff immediately made room for us and our stroller we all scooted into a large booth. There were three of us And our baby. There was plenty of room and the serving staff were absolutely gracious. You can see from the menu, we chose an all steak dinner for three or four people. It was absolutely tender and delicious. One of us is a really large eater and there was so much left over he had more than enough. Our sides were mashed potatoes, crème brûlée corn and Texas beans each side came with the meal all delicious. The meal also came with fresh bread a light loaf and a dark loaf both served with honey butter. Our server was very gracious checking on us without interrupting and making sure that we had everything we needed. Our server did a wonderful job. For the price to have such excellent cuts of meat I just don't think it could be beat. The ambience is beautiful and yet very family oriented if you want to take your children. The dessert menu was lovely, but it was impossible for us to eat anymore next time, I'm going to save room for dessert. This is a restaurant. You really should check out . We came here for dinner a few days ago and it was amazing! I got a cucumber watermelon mocktail (I can't remember the name) and it was seriously the best mocktail I've ever had. I would love to try the actual cocktail version of it. Our steaks were both perfect and we tried almost all the sides- the only side we didn't love was the mashed potatoes. Man it pains me to write less than a stellar review here because my family was SOOOO in love with this restaurant from a prior visit. Pre-game was deceiving though. We got Mikayla as our server once we were seated. I LOVED that there's bread on the table when we arrived. We ordered the meatloavers feast, and a wedge salad with steak. All three steaks were requested medium well. All the steaks arrived about rare but my family tore into them because after a two hour wait for food after a university graduation everyone was ravished. Since no one came to check on us see if the order was ok when it arrived it was survival mode. Kids cutting around the blood. Or at least trying. The steak on the salad was the consistency of what I would imagine a Goodyear tire with about 100,000 miles would taste like. One of my grands kneaded thru that as well . With some of the porterhouse left I did let the waitress know when she finally asked is everything ok that everthing was indeed NOT ok. The manager never came over. She said he said he would redo a sirloin. Disappointing, even though they picked at it and ate all they could stomach I would have liked to see a manager but I guess... I'll hold onto what I guessed. If I could give this new spot a 10 Star I would. Service 10 stars, the location is awesome and the food well, sirloin was cooked as ordered. The queso fundido with steak was hot and super tasty. The birthday cake in this spot is CRAZY HUGE! Everyone gets into singing and having fun. GET THIS* there are two pastry chefs that work here making desserts. Nothing is bought outside for desserts, !!!!YES!!!! Purse stands are so convenient for your bags great idea. First of all our waitress was Cielo what a very beautiful girl and an excellent waitress. My friend Randy and his daughter got the Ribeye and they both said it was delicious and I'm sure it was. We stopped in for lunch. My husband had the fried chicken off the lunch menu and I had the Alejandro Burger with a baked sweet potato. For an appetizer, we had the rib eye chicharrones. All choices were delicious and a lot more than we could finish! We were greeted and seated quickly, and our waiter, Dorian, made us feel like honored guests. We had a chance to check out West Texas this evening - no reservations, but short wait of twenty minutes at around 5:30. Not much seating indoors, but there are two large shaded benches outside where we sat. The restaurant is beautiful, absolutely stunning. Comfortable seating, not too cramped. The food was very good outside of the spinach dip, which was nearly inedible. Not sure what was going on there, but the dip was very watery - so watery it wouldn't even stick to the chip. Our waiter was great, but very busy and spread out. Drinks from the bar took about twenty minutes each to come out, but were very tasty. We went back again. We had the filet mignon with the mushrooms and the habanero steak. We ordered the Caesar salad and brussels sprouts as an appetizer, but they did not come out as planned. They came out really late, and the brussels sprouts were burnt with tons of chimichurri sauce all over them. We talked to the manager, and she brought out another appetizer of brussels sprouts and they were just as burnt. Place just opened and we heard it's really beautiful inside so we came by totally expecting to be patient as they get their bearings and adjust. But wow! No patience needed! Food was delicious! Really disappointing. Actually ruined my father in laws birthday dinner. They ran out of MANY crucial things on a Saturday night dinner service, of all times. First and least important didn't have the beer he wanted (no big deal) but then they were out of several cuts of steaks and incredibly they ran out of baked potatoes. They up charged us the sides they offered instead of the potatoes. The price did not match the over cooked meat we got. My friend Patrick made a reservation for 12; I was the first to arrive and immediately experienced pleasant customer service. West Texas Chophouse staff had our table ready. My evening was perfect after enjoying charming company, but most of all, because West Texas Chophouse Cimarron staff's customer service was top-notch. We ordered the crab-stuffed chile güeros & the Ahi Tuna Tower; both appetizers were excellent. I enjoyed the chile güeros crunchiness and delicious crab fill. The Ahi Tuna Tower tasted so fresh! I ordered the Filet Mignon and added mushrooms on top. The filet was tender and delicious. The filet mignon is served with a baked potato. For dessert, we ordered the bread pudding, which size is perfect to share. Three of us shared, and it was just right. Throughout the night, I enjoyed their cranberry Mimosa served with Rosemary (Special Holiday Menu Drink), and it was delicious l! Overall, it was a lovely evening. This restaurant is a great for dates yet big enough for group get-togethers. The restaurant decor is modern, trendy, and cozy. I am looking forward to coming back. How many times must a steak be returned to be cooked to order? How about three? My husband and I requested Medium temperature; his came back well-well done and mine not much better. Then mine came back out almost raw and his never showed up. The cook comes out and says they're very busy but ours are priority. Finally my husband's comes back and not mine. By this time our other six guests are finished with their meal. We shared my husband's and I returned mine when the manager eventually came around to bring mine. I will NEVER go back. We have been customer of West Texas Chophouse on the Westside since it has been open and prior to that of your Eastside location. It has become our favorite restaurant in El Paso. Until our visit on 11/8/25 your Westside location that is. We ordered an appetizer, 2 beers, and your Asadero Green Chili Burger - my wife's go-to sandwich. We ordered as we always do: well-done, no onions, aioli on the side, and fries crispy. The burger came out - it was medium at best. Ok, that can happen and back it went. One of your managers, Marina, brought out the burger the second time - this time the aioli was on the burger, so back that one went. So far, all this was not great, but maybe the kitchen had a bad day. For all the dozens of times we have visited your restaurant, we probably had to send food back maybe twice, if that, so this was a bid odd. Now, what happened next, we have NEVER experienced before and is the reason why I am writing this to you. My wife who by now was a bit irritated as she was hungry and the burger had to go back a second time, observed Marina from the moment she took the second burger until she came back to our table which was then the third attempt . Marina entered the kitchen with the plate, grabbed with her fingers the bun and which must have been the condiments and possibly the fries and threw then into the trash bin. The cook took the patty and prepared it and re-plated it. While he was doing that, Marina sucked her fingers and pulled out her cell phone. When the cook finished his work, she used the hand with the freshly sucked fingers and apparently placed fresh condiments and or lettuce on our plate before returning to our table. She neither washed her hands nor did she wear gloves at any point. Naturally, we explained to Marina what my wife has witnessed and she admitted it and apologized. As this whole situation was so utterly disgusting, we asked to talk to her supervisor. After quite a while Destiny came to see us; we explained again our disgust and disappointment. I must add that our server Juan as well as Marina and Destiny were very friendly and apologetic. We paid for our beer and appetizer and left hungry and upset. I ordered the dry aged bone in ribeye it's their more expensive option and supposed to be their better option. My steak was horribly undercooked. And by the way steak goes, horribly prepared. When I brought it to the attention of the staff, they "put it through the oven" but left it mostly to the same condition. Furthermore, "sterling silver premium" steak is bullshit for cheap, choice cuts. The grade alludes to a prime grade quality however this steak was far from it. If you want a good steak, west Texas chophouse is the last place I would ever go. To add insult to an already disrespectful piece of meat, their baked potato's are dry, overcooked and gross. Their fries are clearly frozen and microwaved back to life. The only thing they didn't ruin was the Coca Cola. (see photo attached) How not to cook a steak. The grayish ring around the edge indicates the meat was frozen or too cold to apply heat to. The raw, uncooked middle means they cooked it too hot for too little time and it left the middle untouched. The grain and texture of the meat is choice at best and nothing close to their "prime" or "sterling silver premium" bullshit claim. There's no marbling. Sloppy texture. Great chipotle and cilantro sauces. Again, too much food to finish. Could do without the lettuce on these Desert Fog IPA on tap by Marble Brewery - hazy IPA, highly recommend. so good. Had a bad experience with my lunch visit today. I asked for pepper and salt for my food. I was given a pepper mill and I couldn't get it to work. I asked the waitress for another one. I told her I've used them before but I can't get it to work. She tried and couldn't get it to work either. She went and got another one and still didn't work. She then told me all the salt mills were at other tables but would get me one as soon as one became available. Well I never got any pepper or salt. Dear God, It's me. I over ordered again. Their portions were massive for our table of three. The service was great even though they were swamped this Friday evening at 7pm. It was a 40 minute wait but it was well worth it. We started off things like a normal dinner with complimentary bread and the appetizer of steak nachos. The bread was piping hot and the butter albeit looking plain was surprisingly sweet and was a perfect pairing. The nachos were were amazing and more like an entrée. We ordered all the menu recommendations such as the poblano soup, the chicken chipotle alfredo, and the burger for our entrées. I ordered the burger medium rare and that's how it came out. It was a massive half-pounder with four slices tomatoes and a slice of hearty lettuce. I ate half and brought the other half home. I was stuffed before the main courses were brought out. Everything was great and I'd definitely stop by again. The coconut crush cocktail must've been good because the wife ordered two and wanted a third. The ambience was set for date night as the dining areas were dimly lighted. My apologies, I was too busy stuffing my face and forgot to take a picture of the burger. I will be standing in front of them trying to ask for a table for my family while they completely ignore me. They are also not polite or friendly at all. Let me start by saying we've dined here multiple times, and it was good, hence the multiple visits. Unfortunately, the last two visits were complete let downs, with this last dinner a waste of money! I ordered the filet mignon medium well with a baked potato and a side of the vegetable medley. Upon the arrival of our dinner my husband prompts me to cut into my steak, as the last time it was undercooked. My supposed medium well was rare! I would normally try to eat around the edges, rather than return the steak, but there weren't any edges that I could eat, it was so rare. We sent it back. Now my vegetables are cold and my husband's steak is getting cold as he's waiting for my food to return. The steak arrives and it is now cooked to a medium rare. At this point it's the principle of the thing, and immediately tell the server the issue. They ask if they can remake it and butterfly the steak to get it right, and I agree. What else am I to do? The third attempt arrives, and is so well done it's chewy, dried out, and inedible, but I choke it down. I'm so over the experience at this point.
