Service has always been friendly since it is family owned. I ordered one of the famous combo deals, which is a medium pepperoni and cheesy garlic bread for about $20 after tax. Both were good for the price. I did ask about a free soda since I was picking up, but was told the minimum threshold is $25, which I'm not sure how true that is. Real pizza. Not cesars style. The toppings are good quality and the cheese is good too. You can tell their pizzas are high quality because their pizza tastes almost as good cold; and doesn't have to be burning hot. The bread is really soft and the pizza is on the less oily side. 100% recommend their breadsticks too. Their pizzas are pretty consistent and the service is quick and friendly too. They have been spot on with the estimated wait time for in store carry-out and pick-up. They seem more old school without the online ordering, but that is not a deal breaker. Lastly, they have deals that are available daily. This place is kind of a hidden gem among the numerous pizza shops. The pizza was good, but there weren't any prices on the menu. When we asked for the prices, the cashier pointed at the menu board... which didn't have any prices. So we pointed it out and she looked around before finally pointing at the window. Sure enough, there were prices posted on the outside of the window so we read them backwards from inside the restaurant. Even so, those were only the prices for a promotional deal, not for the standard menu items. Highly recommend this pizza joint!!! My family's new favorite spot. It's a bit of a drive for us, but definitely worth it. We started going here in September of 2020, as we had just moved in the neighborhood. We specifically asked in the beginning of their pizza crust was dairy free. I'm 7 years vegan and I'm very familiar with what to ask. They said, it was dairy free. Fast forward ten months later to today 6/28/21, my husband kept trying to order plain bread sticks and marinara sauce for me, so the guy on the phone kept repeating our order in different ways. My husband must've said our order 4-5 times before saying, "I said it five times". So the guy refused to take our order and hung up on him. My husband drove over and even though the guy apologized, it had come up that nothing in the restaurant was vegan-friendly. Apparently, this was the owner. So I had been eating their food for ten months with the belief that it was dairy-free, as they had told me in the beginning. It wasn't our first incident with them. Once they wouldn't allow my husband to pay with a card over the phone. My husband is black and I'm Asian. As soon as he hung up, I called and was able to pay with a card, as I had done before. They've also been rude to him on a few other occasions. We try to brush the little things off our shoulder to help small businesses but in the past ten months, they've just lied about the ingredients and have been rude time and time again. read more

Finally got a chance to try this place, pizza is pretty good. We got the 3 topping pizza for $13.99, half Hawaiian with pineapple & half with pepperoni & sausage. Good pizza for a decent price. However, they do not make true Italian calzones or even know what a real calzone is. One of the main signature ingredients in a calzone includes ricotta cheese.   None of their calzones contain this ingredient.  Even if you build your own, there's no option to add ricotta cheese.  I'm originally from NY and have eaten many calzones. I give them only a 2 star rating for their "calzones". I asked the staff about their "calzones" and they just shrugged it off and stated that's how they were told to make them. No clue. I had been coming to Famous Pizza for years since this ownership had it's location on Freeport Blvd and had always been a loyal customer to them until they moved to the 47th Avenue location where they are now. Today will be the last time I will ever spend another dime in their establishment. I'm not sure if the owner didn't recognize me when I came to pick up my pizza because I had on a hat and my mask, but his shady business practices and cheating me out of my money will not be forgotten or go unknown. The deal that he quoted me on my pizza was $16.99 for an X-Large with mushrooms and olives. They have always offered a free 2-liter soda with every pick-up purchase. When I arrived, he quoted me 19.50 and I reminded him of his quote for 16.99. He acted as if he would adjust my bill nodding his head saying "oh yeah, yeah" but ceased making eye contact with me. He asked if there was anything else and I stated that I would take my free 2 liter. When he gave me my receipt, I saw that he had billed me $21.50! I confronted him about this and he said "Oh, for tax and you want soda" This man understands English perfectly and he simply decided that he would charge me whatever he wanted. As you can see on the receipt, no tax was charged. Perhaps I look stupid? I wasn't about to go on with this SOB while he argued with me and I let him know that I was a long time customer, that I didn't appreciate his attempt to take advantage of me, and that now I would never spend another cent in his establishment. I'll be honest, the reason I would go in there is because the pizza was decent but nothing spectacular at a fair price. But he has just lost a loyal customer with his theft of my $4. I wonder if it was worth it. I recommend you buy a pizza somewhere else and if you insist on trying this place, ask what your final cost will be then make sure your not being robbed! read more

The real reason is because I love the authentic taste of the crust. It's fresh made dough, everyday y'all. Nothing is over done with this pizza. No extra seasoning like some other places, lots of cheese without order the extra cheese and the sauce is not over powering. Here's my normal pizza order Half white sauce with cheese, pepperoni and jalapeños and the other half red sauce extra cheese and pepperoni. That's it. I'm simple. Their combo is delicious but I usually stick to my usual order. Wings are good taste just like any other pizza place that has wings. I do love the chicken strips. Forgive me for loving processed chicken strips but they remind me of the one that I use to eat at my uncles pizza guys shop which they no longer carry at pizza guys. I ordered off DoorDash. They don't have the right descriptions on their pizza ordered a bacon ranch pizza and they covered my pizza with artichokes. There's not even artichokes even written in the description. I told him no tomatoes and they put tomatoes on there. Anyway I paid two dollars extra for ranch the ranch wasn't even there. The white sauce is extremely bland. The bread is bland. The whole pizza is bland. No flavor to it whatsoever. I try to try a new pizza place.
