In a Sacramento native and I've never had Luigi's. A friend wanted to come here so I obliged. Parking is a bit of a pain since you can't park on Stockton so you have to park down a residential neighborhood. We were greeted right away, handed some menus and told to sit wherever but they don't offer table service and we'd have to come back to the counter to order. We got a create your own, the Louisiana shrimp and the goes with beer pizza. The shrimp pizza tasted like a shrimp Alfredo. The goes with beer pizza had some spice from the jalapeños and loaded with pepperoni and linguica. I also ordered a lasagna to go and they forgot about it. The lasagna was horrible. It was dry and had a weird taste. Loved the pizzas but can't recommend the lasagna. Overall, lasagna aside, it was decent pizza with a thin crispy crust and good sauce. I'll be back for sure.

We chose to dine in at Luigi's after 2 awesome pizzas on Mother's Day. We had a beef/mushroom and a pep, takeout. Both were awesome. Those two pizzas encouraged my Mom to call me today, about grabbing some dinner together at the restaurant. Sounds great. She preordered two pizzas, about 20-30 mins before we arrived. Upon walking in- the restaurant was empty, as we were on the extremely early side of dinner. Bartender was on the phone w a customer, guys in the kitchen were presumably making pizzas, lots of laughing. A good time was being had. Great to let off steam before service. I get it. I could see a few tickets up, but not busy for takeout yet either. Another server came, got us some additions to our order and drinks. Very helpful, great service. We sit down and wait for our order. Then wait. Then wait. After a while, the pizzas come out - both in boxes, not on a pan like I expected. TBF, who really cares - we were hungry. I open the first pie - a Luigi Special, and was pretty surprised to see how it was made. I mean, C'mon. I've had great pizzas here before plenty of times, and this one just looked like an IDGAF special. I like crispy pizzas, but parts of this were completely dried out or just missing like the bottom corner of the pizza. The second one was a beef and mushroom - and it was a far cry from what we had for takeout on Mother's Day. Toppings were scarce, and just looked rushed by the color of the dough and zero color on the bottom. This one looked and tasted very rushed. We also got the Caesar. Brown lettuce leaves, and some of the iceberg pieces near the core had that pink color to it. Didn't want to bother asking them to refire anything, we were really hungry and didn't want to wait even longer. All of it was really mediocre. It was really disappointing today, and that sucks because this place usually is really, really good. Mother's Day afternoon - fantastic. Today around 4pm, terrible.

This pizza place is sooooooo gooooooood!!!! Definitely 5 stars for the kind staff & the taste of the food. I had to take off one star for them lacking a changing table in the bathroom, the hour long wait for the food, and it being really noisy in the restaurant (they don't have too much control over the noise, but that was just a down side I wanted to include). Their ranch is also sooooo delicious! Will definitely come back here!

I popped into Luigi's to kill some time before an event next door and ended up having such a great little experience. I grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered a drink. Shoutout to the bartender who was super sweet and helped me craft the perfect margarita combo (we mixed strawberry and mango and it was chef's kiss... so good I had two!. I didn't get a chance to order food myself, but the event I was attending served pizza from Luigi's, so I snagged a quick taste. Even just that small bite had me wanting more, which is exactly why I'll be back! I want to actually sit down, relax, and dive into a full meal next time. The vibe of the place really stood out too. It felt like a true local gem, the kind of spot where regulars keep coming back for good reason. Can't wait to return and experience more of what they've got to offer.

I want to like this place, with the pinball etc, but first attempt, out of marinara sauce would have been 45 minute wait. Second attempt, we ordered there - in person - an hour's wait. Pizza was too soggy to eat had to reheat.. in an actually hot oven. Sorry.

I checked out Luigi's for the first time last night after checking out Community Shop Class next door. My husband loves Luigi's and was craving pizza so this was the perfect place. I loved the old Italian pizzeria mafia feel when we walked in - you can tell this place is loved by the locals and there is a reason why it has been around for so many years - since the 1950's I believe! We ordered the Goes with Beer pizza and the Mama Mia sampler - everything was really good! We especially liked the pizza and the sampler wings. My daughter devoured the mozzarella sticks and wings! They offer $7 cocktails and $5 margaritas all summer! They even have an area with pinball machines and a room in the back for larger parties. Staff were very friendly and you could tell they really loved their jobs! I want to come back and try their pastas and salads! Luigi's is down the street from my work so we will definitely be back soon! Check them out!

Sacramento classic right here. If you want a consistently great pizza, look no further than Luigi's. There is something for everyone here. My teens love the garlic bread and wings. Me and my oldest are die hard fans of the boulevard pizza. It never misses. And the ranch here is my all time favorite. The vibes are always on point. Locals frequent the joint for a bite and drink. Lots of families enjoying themselves. And the staff are always friendly and staying on top of the customers needs.

After trying this pizza at a YEE event I ordered it on DoorDash! It didn't disappoint. It came hot, delicious and affordable! Let me tell you- the ranch is freaking amazing!!!! I ordered a small pepperoni and garlic bread. I thought I was ordering cheesy garlic bread but I messed up! Nonetheless it was all amazing! Deff need to go check this place out in person next! Thanks Luigi's!

    Antipasti Salad

A local pizza joint with history. Luigi's is listed as Sacramento's first pizza parlor and has been around since 1953. There's street parking in the area and walking in is like taking a step back in time. The walls are decorated with art, murals and neons and the whole vibe is welcoming, comfortable, and old school pizza parlor. They even have a collection of pinball machines in the back. I ordered at the bar and found a table. The green chairs at the hightops were surprisingly comfortable. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh- the portions also seemed generous and the prices were fair. I ordered meatballs with marinara ($6), artichoke Jalapeno dip ($6), a Large Antipasto Salad ($9.50), a Large Pepperoni pizza ($25) and a small Boulevard pizza ($22). The meatballs came with three generously sized meatballs with plenty of sauce- these would be great with garlic bread or over pasta. The Artichoke dip was flavorful and came with fresh pizza dough strips to dip. It has a good spice level and plenty of artichoke pieces. The antipasto salad was a good size, definitely shareable, and had a nice variety of toppings. There were toppings I haven't had in an antipasto elsewhere like roasted red peppers and artichoke pieces. The pepperoni pizza had a good amount of pepperoni and cheese, but wasn't our favorite. The crust on this large pizza seemed a bit different than the small pizza we got. The Boulevard was my favorite of the two pizzas, the crust on this one seemed better and they loaded it with toppings. On both pizzas it seemed like there were crunchy bits (we think it may have been cornmeal used on the pizza paddle?) but they detracted from the experience and made it a bit tougher to enjoy the pizza. I learned that they make all their dressings in house and they sell small and large containers of ranch to take home with your food. They also have plenty of space for groups, including a party room in the back, past the arcade games. They also sell merch that you can wear back to the restaurant for a discount on your meal, which is cute for regulars. I was super happy to try this slice of Sacramento history and I'd stop by again when in the area. I also heard the sandwiches are great, so that will have to happen.

Came in on a busy Saturday evening, ordered an antipasto salad and meat lovers pizza. The salad was pretty mediocre but the pizza definitely redeemed it. It was full of flavor and the crust was divine ~ crispy, buttery, and thin (but not so thin it collapses ya know?) We had to wait 45 minutes or so for the pizza but that's to be expected on a weekend. We didn't order drinks but noticed they have $5-$7 cocktails!

Food is good. Staff and service were very nice. It wasn't terribly busy. Your typical restaurant ambiance.

I stopped by Luigi's Pizza Parlor after wrapping up a Yelp event with Shop Class next door, and I couldn't have asked for a better way to end the night. The moment you walk in, you're hit with the mouthwatering smell of fresh pizza being made. Since it was late, we opted for takeout, and I went home with: - Boulevard Pizza (SML - $22) - Buffalo Wings ( 1/2 pound) Let me tell you... So. Good. You can really taste the freshness in every bite, and the fact that so many ingredients are made in-house, from the meatballs to the ranch dip, is a huge bonus for me. The small pizza was way more than enough for one person. I ended up stretching it into dinner that night, plus lunch and dinner the next day and it still tasted just as good. There's plenty of indoor seating if you want to dine in, and the decor gives off a classic, retro pizza house vibe that I loved. They've also got a full bar, which is where I spent most of my time, while I waited for my order. Let me just say, you cannot beat their $5 margaritas. The staff were also all so kind and welcoming and I'm so glad I decided to stop by! I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Next time, I'm bringing friends and I know they'll love it just as much as I did.

DELICIOUS! Just as I remembered the pizza from decades ago. Wonderful toppings cut chunky size. Wonderful Crispy crust. I loved it! I will return! PS. I had the combo. The sausage was replaced with salami because Luiji's makes their own sausage and it the sausage would not be ready until 4 - 4:30pmish. I was here during the lunch hour.

Ask the Community - Luigi's Pizza Parlor

What are the vegan options? Are any of the pizza sauces vegan? Really want to try the new Luigi's.

Personally, I didn’t find Luigi’s enjoyable. I have had better pizza from Papa Murphy’s!!!

How long is the store closed for? It's been "temporarily closed for deep cleaning" for several weeks now.

    3/1/2019 - Luigi's is open! Open 7 days a week. Our hours are 11a to 9p Sunday - Wednesday, and 11a to 10p Thursday - Saturday.

Is Luigi's still open? I have found information on the web that says it's closed permanently.

    3/1/2019 - Luigi's is open! Open 7 days a week. Our hours are 11a to 9p Sunday - Wednesday, and 11a to 10p Thursday - Saturday.

We closed to complete a deep clean and brightening up of the dining room and bar. We now have a custom bar, a dedicated arcade room, and more dining room seating. Please stop by and check it out. We are open 7 days a week. Our hours are 11a to 9p… Read more

Very family-owned vibes while still feeling nice and welcoming. Service was great throughout the meal, and our waiter gave us some really good recommendations and information about the menu. They also corked our wine and kept it on ice, which was a nice touch. To start, we ordered the fried stuffed ravioli and bruschetta. We were also given complimentary fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic, which was a great addition. The fried ravioli was very good, kind of like a fancier mozzarella stick, and the marinara it came with was flavorful and balanced. The bruschetta was perfect: crusty bread topped with sweet, fresh tomatoes. So simple but so good. For mains, we ordered the carbonara and the wild mushroom ravioli. The mushroom ravioli was excellent, meaty and earthy in an addicting truffle cream sauce where the truffle flavor really shines through. The carbonara came out extremely hot, so it was initially hard to fully taste the flavors, but once it cooled a bit it was delicious. Maybe it could've used a touch more salt, but still very good overall. The pancetta was nice too, maybe just a little crispier and more rendered would've taken it even further, but it still brought that fatty, salty flavor I love. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu along with the chocolate and caramel cannolis. The cannolis were good, not anything especially memorable, but still a nice treat. The tiramisu completely stole the show. It was made fresh, which I was initially unsure about since tiramisu usually sits for a while, but the texture was amazing because the ladyfingers still had a slight crispness to them. We took the rest home, and after firming up overnight it was somehow even better the next day. Honestly the best tiramisu I've ever had. Great food, great service, and I'll definitely be back, even though I'm usually not even a huge Italian food fan.

He was pleasant all around, he was patient with my grandma all night and made me feel like he truly valued our time and didn't rush us. He is everything you want in a server-kind,direct,knowledgeable, and dependable. I would come back any time just to get customer service like that. Now on to the food, I had the Fettucine Arrositi which I believe is their signature dish. I have had it before but this time it was especially delicious. The sauce has a flavor like no other pasta I've ever had it's rich but not too rich creamy but not too creamy and the thing that sets it apart from other creamy pastas is the subtle Cajun flavor. It tastes a bit like old bay and Tabasco to me with some other amazing things in it I'm sure but it was delicious 9/10 My grandma likes to order a lot of things for the table because she never got to have that so she ordered a bunch of things for herself to try and for me to finish. We had the meatballs and they were fantastic but she felt they were too big haha 9/10. Then we had the calamari which was my favorite of the appetizers we ordered. I'm hoping next time to try the polenta fries. Then for her main course my grandma had the wedge salad which she loved but she did mention she wished it had lots more bacon and I can't blame because I too always want more bacon on things. All in all it was a great experience and I will be back very soon.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I haven't had the opportunity to try Sampino's. My very good…read moreYelp Elite friend, David and Eva are regulars at this place and it was highly recommended. Of course, I had to join them for dinner to see what the buzz it's all about. The place was packed on Saturday night at 5:30 pm and you know that's a very good sign. I'm mesmerized by the photos, jerseys and plagues on the walls as we wait for our table to be ready. Everything on the menu sounds amazing. It was hard to decide what to get. We got the Bruschetta Crostini appetizer to share. The bite-sized toasted bread was crispy (not hard) topped with a fresh tomatoes, cheese and balsamic vinaigrette. A nice starter and very Italian. LOL I wasn't very hungry so I shared the Marty Burger and fries. Excellent burger with all the fixings. You know it's a solid burger when it's messy and your fingers are covered with sauce. It also comes with a nice fresh green salads. We concluded the meal with a sweet-tangy and refreshing orange sherbet ice cream. Sorprendente! Friendly and attentive service. I'm already thinking to come back with my boys to try the Famous Meatballs and other dishes.

The food was good and everyone enjoyed their meals, however we discovered we were overcharged because an entrée was added to our bill that we did not order. Unfortunately, I've tried contacting the restaurant multiple times to resolve the issue, but no one answers the phone and the voicemail box is full. I live out of town, so going back in person is not an option. Hoping management sees this and reaches out to make it right. UPDATE: The manager reached out and resolved the issue regarding the overcharge. I really appreciate them taking the time to follow up and make things right. Thank you for the great customer service and attention to the matter. We enjoyed the food and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Best bruschetta by far. The tomatoes are perfectly marinated, and the toast is crunchy. 10/10

Waiter Sara (I think that was where name) she was very nice and felt no rush from her at all. Very attentive as well. Will def come back because of the nice service. Food: It was soo good. Not atonement but did have likable options. I had the ravioli of the day ( mine was stuffed with crab and shrimp with a white sauce 10/10 recommend. My husband got the 12 layer ravioli which was also very good 10/10. For appetizers we got the bread basket $5, beef tips $24, and fried calamari $18 all of it was good. Def worth a try prices are not bad and portions were perfect leaving us full but able to finish :) For us we will be coming back.

There are so many delicious menu items I'd like to come here again and again. We shared a delicious appetizer and then indulged in our favorite Italian main dishes. The "Jeanne" martini was scrumptious. The wines were spot on. This evening it was a toss up between going to Grange or here, totally different experiences with equally delicious food; parking was easier here. The acoustics are a little loud, mostly because people' are enjoying themselves and chatting it up.

The hostesses, our server, and everyone there was great and friendly. They were very attentive and there was not a long wait for anything. I love that they are kids friendly and there are lots of options on the menu. They make everything from scratch so you can taste the quality in the food. The restaurant is beautiful with higher ceilings and an open kitchen. There is some noise so you can talk and not worry about disturbing others. Definitely a good spot to try Calamari - 5/5, one of the best calamari we've had! It had a nice light batter and the calamari was sooo tender. That was the best part. I don't like chewy calamri Linguine mare chiaro - 5/5. So good! Has a good creamy tomato flavor, tons of yummy seafood, and the fresh thin pasta had a good chew to it. The seafood was cooked perfectly. It also has the slightly kick/spice to it. Just FYI. It's very mild and my husband said he couldn't tell. Lasagna - 5/5, also very good. It's a big portion. The layers of lasagna were tender and easy to eat with a fork. I really enjoyed the flavors in the lasagna Kids pizza - 5/5, good traditional thin crust pizza and you can tell it was cooked in the brick oven Kids pasta (tube pasta with bolognese) - 5/5, good traditional flavors, my kids loved it and almost ate it all Vulcano dessert - 4/5, good tender molten lava type cake, the sea salt caramel ice cream that came with it is good on its own, but I would have preferred regular vanilla ice cream to balance out the richness of the cake

Also, the Mare, which was good, and the rigatoni with vodka sauce which was slightly dry. We ordered drinks - a vodka with olives on the rocks (olives were forgotten. Oops!) A dirty martini, up and a Manhattan tha included a Maraschino cherry....excuse me? We were charged an extra fee for "on the rocks" - yikes lol That was a first, but I guess wherever you can get it? Never again for us though, because wtf. Ambience was amazing. Service was ok. Not sure we'll be back - things have changed here and I'm not sure for the best. For $300+ for three people, I'm thinking Waterboy or Ella...
