I Tried this place for the first time today and I was soooo pleasantly surprised! The pizza was so fresh and flavorful. The crust was truly my favorite part though. Just had a pizza delivered via Postmates. I'm eating over the box, chowing down, adding hot sauce, 2 1/2 slices in, when I look down and see a baby ROACH scurrying from UNDER the pizza! The pizza here is really terrific. I always order the thin crust pepperoni and it seems to have plenty of stuff on top. A friend of mine has fallen in love with the vegetarian pizza with sausage on it. Recently turned her onto this place and she now goes there regularly. Originally came here years ago as they were the only place open on Christmas day. Had to love them for that. But it turned out to be quite tasty. That day we feasted and had not only pizza but some of the sides and dessert. Remember everything being good and festive. Exactly what we needed that day. I really should have read the reviews before ordering! I decided on Sacramento Pizza because a friend said it was good and because it looked like the kind of mom and pop place that I want to support. The pizza arrived barely hot, luke warm at best and considering it got here within 30 minutes of me ordering it. that seems odd.. should have been piping hot. Also what kind of small pizza place charges for one side of ranch? Bottled salad dressing ranch at that. I was forced to update my order with an extra 50 cents before they would let it happen. i also just seems REAL cheep to me. Congratulations to Sacramento Pizza who has inspired me to write my first negative review. Previous to this I have only written 5 star reviews as I want to reward restaurants that really do an incredible job. My glass is pretty half full so it took quite a bit of mayhem for me to write a 1 star review as a civic duty that informs the general public they would be safer and better off if they hitchhiked to the nearest 7-11, bought a loaf of white bread, sprinkled Kraft parmesan, processed string cheese, put it all together and stuck in the microwave for 10 minutes rather than order from Sacramento Pizza. Here's a list of the offences: 1. Cheese bread was an indiscernible mass of airy dough advertised as 4 pieces (whatever that means?). Had to search with my fingers to discover there was a small amount of tasteless cheese baked on top. 2. "Pizza" arrived luke-warm/coldish. Wrong and extra toppings (which the restaurant blamed on UberEats) with no extra cheese that I was charged for (the amount was more like half what you would expect just ordering a regular cheese pizza) 3. No ranch that I ordered and was charged for 4. Sprite which I asked to add on to my order having called the restaurant never arrived (UberEats blamed restaurant, restaurant blamed UberEats). Sounds like a typical marriage. They deserve each other but they shouldn't be screwing an innocent 3rd party out of close to $40 for the aforementioned cheese bread, pizza and a slice of cheese cake. 5. The single bite of strawberry (I think) cheesecake I had tasted like it was made from cool whip. 6. When I called the restaurant to express my concerns, the repeated parrot phrase was that the gentleman was going to address/correct the situation with Uber. NO idea how the restaurant expected Uber to make the order right on his end. He also had no idea which woman I spoke to 40 minutes prior who supposedly added in the Sprite, assumed I wanted a 2 liter without asking and didn't care, seem to know or care about the difference between sizes or different types of sodas. 7. No accountability, no apology. If there were a prize given for the best little short yellow bus of pizza making, Sacramento Pizza would have a big blue ribbon. To the owner(s): 1. Please either educate your staff on proper customer service, pay them more, or fire them. Something isn't right. 2. Learn how to make a pizza or sell your restaurant. Either way stop torturing the general public and robbing them blind. Bread, cheese and throwing a handful of unappetizing pieces of meat and veggies together does not a pizza make. It's offensive and for what you're charging for the experience you ought to be fined. 3. Unless this was a literally "tasteless" joke, get some class, show some self-respect and take a little pride in your business. I hope you understand that this review is accurate of your current product. The best part of my experience with you was the UberEats driver, who was sincere and apologetic even though he called and couldn't figure out where my call box was after a full minute of describing it to him (the call box was literally a foot away from him). I went to buy pizza yesterday and told them about my incident and showed pictures to them but the lady said it very rarely happened. I never get a call about it. I work in the area, which is not the best area, extremely hood. The business itself doesn't standout, I'm from the Bay Area and travel to Sacramento for work and I've passed it several times without knowing it was there, . So one night I was starving and everything was closed except Fast-food which doesn't interest me so I pulled up my Google maps and looked at all the pizza places in my area. I was unable to leave that night so I called and the lady who answered the phone was very nice and helpful. I explained where I worked and that I couldn't leave and I didn't want to use door dash . We talked, I placed my order, a combination pizza and it was delivered fast, nice and hot ...it was awesome and delicious, that was about 2 weeks ago. So this past Friday again I was stuck at work and starving so I called again and asked the lady if she remembered me.. she said yes so I ordered a Large Hawaiian Pizza... it took longer but the wait was worth it... This place is my new go to in a place where the other food options aren't that good late at night unless you want Taco Bell, Burger King etc. You really can't ask for more, great phone customer service, great delivery guy, delicious hot food. My first time ordering from here was okay. The pizza was mediocre at best. What made it not worth it was the neighborhood. I grew up around here so I should be used to it, but having to come here at night alone still would make anyone nervous. The reason for the one star is because when i decided to give this place a second try, I ordered over the phone. The person taking my order got my order wrong and delivered me a pizza with anchovies. I thought my order was clear since I asked her if they have linguica as a topping here. She said yes and so I said I'd like a linguica pizza. She kept asking me to repeat my order and in the end, I think both of us were too frustrated to continue communicating. So she ended up saying she got my order down and didn't even repeat it to me to confirm if it was right. Just hung up the phone. By the time the pizza was delivered to my house, I did not want to wait any longer so I just picked out all the anchovies and ate very salty cheese pizza thanks to the anchovies.
