I ordered a sicilian pizza, which is their biggest size, with two toppings. It cost $31.61. There are 16 square slices and 4 slices are enough to get you full. The crust wasn't very good. The overall pizza taste and service was average.

There is no other place in Phoenix to buy pizza since Casanova Brothers Pizza closed in Mesa. Casanova was always a second choice to Ray's for me. GREAT NEW YORK STYLE PIZZA, in a New York environment. Being a NYer I am totally at home here and I try to bring my out of town guests here. The pizza is traditional NY style with a great taste. If you like Pepsi, their mixture of syrup and carbonated water is perfect.

Two slices of pepperoni pizza with garlic powder and pepper flakes.

Rays at 3rd St and Bell is my go to pizza place for slices. It has always been consistent and excellent for years. I'm leaving for a 4 month trip and needed a pizza fix.

Ham & Onion pizza (my wife's favorite) from Famous Rays on Bell in Phoenix

Absolutely the best family pizza joint in the neighborhood. Even on a Sunday night with no football, they whip out a delicious Ham & Onion pizza. The crust is the best we've found since NYPD dropped their standards years ago. I highly recommend this family owned business. THANK YOU for another GREAT pizza!

Many of us…read moreremember the mid-1990s when reports were coming out of Phoenix that some new pizzeria might just serve the best pizza in the United States! What? So far from New York? How is this possible? And the reports kept coming. Bronx native Chris Bianco had done the impossible, expanding authentic pizzas beyond the Mississippi River. The accolades and awards were endless, the critics raved, and even documentaries were produced. So we all started putting this place on our bucket list. I finally made the pilgrimage in 2026 to this mecca, this icon, this uber-famous destination. And it was worth the hype! The most beautiful red sauce complements the perfectly stretchy fresh mozzarella. Since I opted for the Sonny Boy, I was treated to high quality slices of salami and whole olives. The crust is thin, charred in various spots, slightly crispy on the bottom but still properly chewy. It is a thing to behold, ranking right up there with the best pizzas I've had in Italy and the states! I wish the olives were halved and not whole so they wouldn't roll off my pizza. But I didn't care. I even violated my germaphobic code for the first time in decades and snatched an olive off the table, it was that good! Because of its location inside Heritage and Science Park, there is a mandatory $10 parking charge for valeting plus a recommended tip. There is no validating inside the restaurant. But the surprise surcharge was also worth it!

The patio entrance is especially charming, and the entire property feels intimate and welcoming. It's easy to see why this family-owned establishment has remained a beloved Phoenix favorite for so many years. We started our evening with the calamari, which was outstanding. Unlike traditional calamari preparations, this version was bursting with flavor, featuring plenty of fresh garlic, parsley, and a pleasant spicy kick that elevated the dish without overwhelming it. It was the perfect way to begin the meal. For drinks, I enjoyed a refreshing Hugo Spritz along with an Italian beer, both of which paired wonderfully with the food and complemented the relaxed atmosphere. Our main course was the Diavola pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. I customized it by adding balsamic glaze and onions, which added the perfect balance of sweetness and depth to the spicy flavors of the pizza. I also appreciated the ability to customize toppings to create exactly what I was craving. The pizza itself was beautifully prepared with fresh ingredients and excellent flavor throughout. What truly stood out was the hospitality. One of the owner's sons regularly checked on guests throughout the evening, making sure everyone was enjoying their experience. That level of genuine attentiveness and family involvement adds a personal touch that is increasingly rare and makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. Whether you're looking for a casual evening out, a romantic date night, or simply a memorable meal in a unique setting, Cibo delivers. The combination of exceptional food, welcoming service, and the charm of its historic home atmosphere makes it a place I'll gladly return to again and again.

You can also get a whole pie of your choice. They grate fresh parm on all the slices which I thought was a nice touch. The girl at the register seemed very knowledgeable about all the pizzas and gave us lots of details and recommendations which we appreciated. First we got the green, di Parma, and the Phoenix. The green has pistachios and fresh arugula on it, I thought the overall flavor was too sweet and the pistachios weren't crush enough. The Phoenix was good, very honey forward and overall the flavor didn't stick out to me. The di Parma was a cheese pizza with procuttio and ricotta, overall a little plain to me. I think they all would've tasted better hot, but I understand that's not super realistic for a slice shop. For our second order we got the vodka sauce slice, which was for sure my favorite. First of all it was piping hot, and that elevated the whole experience. I thought the sauce was so flavorful and savory, and the basil made a perfect bite. I would go back for a whole pie of this! I really liked the prices here, we got dinner for less than $25 for 2. I wouldn't mind coming back to try some other slices and get a pie of the vodka!

This is an embarrassment to anything Chicago or Wrigley related. Barely any beef and some nasty sausage patty, served with a bag of chips. This was not edible, so I just picked off the beef. We left almost the entire order on the rack, aside from the pieces on our plates. Did the server care to ask? No, but more on that later. The small cheese with Ricotta was barely ok, but the ricotta was not as fresh as served at DeFalcos or Vero in East Valley. Service: AWFUL. We told the server that we want the large pizza to be our appetizer and then bring the rest of the food out. Nope. She brought everything out together. Refills? Had to try and finally get her attention. Never asked about our food. Didnt ask why the calzone was barely touched and we didn't want it to go either. Overall: Not coming back period.
