We've had our whole house fan from Fanman and we couldn't be happier. The company stands by its product and comes out for issues during the warranty period and just takes care of the problem. The ONE time we've had an issue, the gentleman came out, quickly fixed the problem, left an extra part and replaced bearings that would make it last longer at no charge and he was quick and cleaned up after himself. Just excellent work and integrity. They respond to questions quickly. Tom installed our whole house fan over 10 years ago. I noticed a squeaking when we first turned it on and should have called for a checkup at that time. Instead, I waited and then BOOM, the fan belt broke. I was shocked that Tom still owns the business and still does the installs and repairs. He came out and not only put on a new belt, but put on a new pully and a new controller that can be operated from your phone via Bluetooth. VERY COOL!!! My fan belt broke in the summer. I'd had their unit for almost 15 years. I called to get an estimate for repair. It would be $150 if they came out to install a new belt. That's all I needed. Otherwise I could get someone I knew to install. She told me where to go to get the new belt. Basically $10-$12 for the belt. Fanman even provided instructions on how to do it! Couldn't be happier! Purchased a house that had a whole house fan purchased/installed by the Fanman. Recently it stopped working because the belt snapped. I called and left a message to see if I could get a service call set up. I received a call back within the hour and was able to set up a service call. They were a little backed up on scheduling so the woman I spoke to offered to give me the information on where to purchase the belt and which belt to buy if I wanted to try to replace it myself so that I could get the unit working sooner. She said it's an easy fix and that if I was inclined, it would save me the price of the service call. I thought that sounded like a great idea. I took the information for the belt and kept my appointment incase I wasn't able to fix it myself. I was able to get the belt the following day and replacing it was very simple so I called back to cancel the appointment. I left a message to cancel the appointment but asked for a call back so that I could ask about general servicing of the fan that I should do. Once again, I got a call back withing the hour. I got the info I was curious about. Super nice interactions, quick response. Their product was installed in the house back in 2006 and I bought the house last year...the fan is still cooling the house great and it seems to be a really solid product. I was very grateful that I was given the option to get the info for getting the belt and trying the replacement myself. It saved me some money and I got the repair done sooner than the service call was scheduled to happen. Great customer service! We recently had a whole house fan installed in our new house. Tom (Owner) of Fanman, as always, did a fantastic job installing and while paying attention to detail during the whole installation process. We have used him before installing one in our previous home, so we called him back again. There was no reason for us to look anywhere else to have the fan provided and installed for us. Their louvres are insulated to prevent heat/cold loss. "Belt driven" ceiling fan is the way to go... It's quieter than chain driven fans. Having a whole house fan in your house is great for cooling down your house during the hot summer days and clearing out the stinky/smoky odors inside your home too!!! read more

We built an energy efficient home in Vacaville, CA; double wall construction on the western side, R50+ in the attic, all LED lighting throughout the house. NO Central heating or Air Conditioning. House modified to take advantage of 'natural air convection' patterns. Thermostatic controlled pellet stove, with 8" ceiling ducting to MBR keeps the house at70°F in the winter. This is the second time I've had the Fanman install a whole house fan (one in a previous home and now this one) and I've been very pleased with the service both times. After being told by a certain well known house fan company a year prior that a whole house fan couldn't be installed in my home and only had the option of an attic fan, I decided to give the Fanman a call just to be certain. Fanman installed our whole house fan in 2014. We chose this company on the recommendation of our contractor. Installation was seamless. For the first time, I needed to call because I turned the fan on and it worked but was very loud. Called the company, got an appointment 2 days later. Tom came out, arrived early, prepared to repair and in less than 30 minutes replaced the belts and a few other pieces that he said were working but might go bad. We had the Fanman install a whole house fan for us 3+ years ago. We recently had some work done on our house that caused the fan to lose power (new Electrician issue). The Fanman came out right away and discovered that they had tied into the electrical that our fan was wired on. He rewired the the whole house fan and solved the issue in less than a couple hours. I got quotes from several fan companies before deciding on Fanman. They were the most expensive, but their fans have features of the more expensive fans at a fair price. I thought I knew where I wanted it in my house, but the installer suggested a different place and explained his reasoning. I agreed with him. On low, my fan is no louder than my AC. On high, I need to turn up the tv a couple clicks, but it moves a lot of air quickly and I love sleeping to the white noise. I have had the fan for about 10 years now. It paid for itself in about 3 months. I contacted them recently because the display on my remote was going out. They sent me a new remote free of charge. I have recommended Fanman to several people. As long as there isn't smoke in the air, my fan is on in the evening. My PGE bill shows it costs about $0.75 to run the fan overnight. I can cool the house to 65 degrees overnight and not use the AC the next day. I'm a fan. read more

Just had our second experience working with the Fanman and it couldn't have been more positive! In our last home we lowered our energy bill more than 50% and was well worth the investment. Called The Fanman to schedule a free estimate. No hassle and absolutely professional over the phone. Tom showed up on the day and exact time for the estimate. He was able to answer all my question, and also give suggestions on best placement for our specific house. My wife and I talked it over and decided to get the job done, and to go with Fanman. I called back to set an appointment and they gave me a date that worked with our schedule and a 1 hour time frame from when they would arrive to start work. We got a call the day before just as a friendly reminder. On the day of the install, I got a call about 45 minutes earlier than expected saying they finished a prior job early and could head on over. Unfortunately I was still at work but nice to know they were keeping in contact. I let them know when I was home and they were ready to work. They could not figure out where to put the fan and decided the only area they could put it was in our dining room area...NO WAY! I had Fanman install a whole house fan back around 2005. It's been great and really helps to cool down the house in the evening or early morning when the temps outside are much lower. I have never had the unit serviced since then so I do need to have it checked (belt and/or lubrication if needed). Tom Fields came to my house to assess our home for a whole house fan. He didn't realize that we already had one and asked if it worked. I explained it did but that it was an older fan and had started making new, loud scary noises so we were expecting a new one was in order. Instead of jumping right to a new sale, Tom instead jumped on a ladder and into the very hot attic and inspected the fan. After tinkering with it for awhile, he climbed down and said "lets see what happens." And voila, it worked. No more crazy noises. When I asked how much I owed him, he said, "Nothing.
