serves ignored us for over 35 minutes, while they severed tables across and next to us multiple times, despite trying to get attention for help. no water, no menu, nothing. only got help when asked to speak to manager. server said she was not wearing contacts and couldn't see us. manager wasn't very helpful either due to owner restrictions on them. when finally getting help, asked for a non alcoholic drink, because i'm on medication & could have a serious reaction. she gave me a regular drink even though she took my previous clearly labeled 0% alc drink just a couple minutes before. instead of comping the item and expressing their deep concerns. they just changed the receipt and eagerly charged me without the regard of the serious implications that could have occurred from me drinking that drink and having a severe medical reaction. very unprofessional staff, if you value your time and life. reconsider this place. I've been coming to Fantasia for two decades now. This place hold a special place in my memories due to building a lot of memorable times. Hosting and service is very quick and very attentive. Game nights and sports night gets very crowded and rowdy. Usually on weekend nights, there is a waiting time end list for those who want to reserve a pool table. Spacious dining area. Unfortunately, this establishment racially profiled me and denied my entering based on the way I look. I am a Puerto Rican living in LA, and I walked up to the bar... as always, I was kind to the doorman and said "hello!" and proceeded to show him my ID. He then said "I was watching you from far away and I think I saw you stumbling, so you can't come in here tonight." My girlfriend and I looked at each other with shock... I didn't say anything, nor do anything that would prompt that sentence, nor was I stumbling or previously drinking. My girlfriend then said kindly "We're just looking to play a game of pool". And the doorman turned me away once again. I wish I get could the interaction on security footage because the entire exchange was truly disheartening and completely unjustified. The only reasoning we could muster as to why this happened is that I was racially profiled and turned away for the way I look. The doorman must have had some deeply rooted baggage towards people who look like me, and I unfortunately was at the receiving end of his unjustified hatred tonight. I've come here multiple times, I've spent $500+ in beer, pool tables and jukebox requests. Honestly, I'm embarrassed for them and I will not be back. If you're reading this and on the fence as whether to come... if you do get the doorman in the picture, I would suggest recording your interaction with him, just for your own safety. Or... just visit nearby bars instead such as Yard House (open til 2), Sushi Stop (open til 12), or Barney's Beanery (open til 2am), which are all 4 minutes walking distance from this place. I should've read the yelp reviews before coming here. We experienced poor service and waitresses basically begging for their tip as well as derogatory comment from this white bald guy checking ID at the front entrance. 1. Service was so wack, waitress that introduced herself as our waitress never once came to check on us until we had to flag her down after 20 min to order and then once when last calls for kitchen orders. At the end she said she was going to charge the tip and we said zero. Why am I going to give tip to someone who didn't do anything just brought out one plate of food and didn't provide customer service. She even came up to the females of the group and asked how the service was. Girl your reaching fr. 2. Then at the end the bald white guy with a snow white goatee who was checking ID as we were leaving has the audacity to tell my bf "you should tell your hyna to get you a wallet". This is a fun date night spot. It's located in Burbank right next to the AMC movie theater with lots of restaurants and places to walk to. We came on a Monday night and sat at the bar first. Service was quick and drinks are super affordable. We got a pool table (it is $17 per hour after 5pm, less if before 5pm but it's prorated). When you are playing pool there is a server who will come to you and get a drink order if you need anything. They have a ton of pool tables so I don't see you needing to ever really wait unless it's super busy or something. There is a small patio in the front if you smoke or vape or anything. Trendy area with many bars, restaurants and shopping. This place was big with many pool tables. We went on a Saturday night and didn't have to wait for a table. I really liked the vibe in this place. Laid back and inviting. They have someone that comes around asking for your food and/or drink order. Staff was friendly and helpful. We parked in a nearby parking garage that was FREE! Yes FREE! Love it. Close walk from the garage too. Mixed crowd with mostly country music playing. Masks required when you enter but then your free to play without them. Trying bar hopping after a long hiatus, we failed miserably. I think it's safe to say, I'm no longer the hoodrat i was 15 years ago. And I was reminded of that as soon as i stepped foot into fantasia. The lay out and crowd gave me nostalgia. But that goddamn smell of like dirty Arby's bathroom at the entrance area was overwhelming. And it set the tone quick. Surprised since my last visit 15 years ago, how similar this place is still. The pool table woman look pissed to be there but I'm glad we weren't there for pool. The bartenders were attentive though. No knock on service. But the place felt rundown. Fortunately that bathroom scent I mentioned earlier only lingers in the entry area. You can still smoke out on the patio area! I used to love that! Food is alright, ambiance is good. But the service is bad with our waitress, I do not know her name but she's the one with a short hair with tattoos on her arms. She took so long for taking orders and bringing orders even the bar is not busy, we felt the way she approached us as customers is in bad aura or vibe, looks like she can't handle pressure on work. The newly covered tables have been a game changer for these gold crown tables. The space is a little tight between the tables on certain ones. Music can get pretty loud in there at night. Amidst the Covid-19 restrictions, we had such a great time here at Fantasia. We came here to celebrate a send-off for my friend's brother who is travelling back to a far far away land, so a good amount of booze and grub is in order. Our server whom I 've got to say was like "speedy Gonzales" was amazing! not mention that he was the only one serving that night, he somehow managed getting the orders from all the patrons outside and served their orders at a timely manner as well! After a few pitchers of beer, multiple baskets of chicken wings, french fries and jalapeno poppers, we called it a night, we had a great time almost forgetting that someone has to be at the airport early in AM to catch his flight! Pool table rentals are charged by the hour and waitresses are going around taking drink orders. This place serves beer by the glass or pitcher, with a good selection of beer on tap. The waitress that works Monday night tried to make us pay cash and pocket the money! We were playing billiards and when she walked by and we asked for another 1 beer, she requested we pay her cash for it and she'll bring us 2 beers. Something seemed off when she put the money we gave her in her pocket. That's not right. the waitress is really sketchy and was rude to us about it when we didn't tip her enough. She was a light skinned girl , dark hair, wore a black apron that day with denim jeans. UPDATE: The waitress (got her name Pauline) found my group and came back to us angry that I left this review on Yelp. She proclaimed adamantly that this never happened . I almost believed her and second questioned myself but I remember clearly what happened. Then she urged/threatened for this review to be removed and that her job was on the line. Great place. Came to hang out with a buddy, have some drinks and play a couple of hours of pool. I did read a couple of other reviews about staff along with security not being helpful or them being rude which I did not experience at all. If you want to get a table for pool, you will need to head to the front of the bar to provide a card and get assigned a spot. You don't have to go to the bar to order drinks or food, plenty of waitresses are assigned to each areas to take your orders so tip them well. They have a good amount of security walking around to make sure nothing pops off. If you dont want to play pool then you can hang out at the front where they have TV's to watch any games. Private pool room is located upstairs for events. Not sure what else to say but I will be back again.. read more

Came a few times now and the 3rd time our server pressed us about the tip asking if the service wasn't good or something. The service really wasn't good but I just didn't want to tell her to her face and deal with more attitude so I just gave more cash. Normally I have no issues leaving a good tip if the server actually has a good attitude and is attentive.
