Wow, first time here! My family brought me here after touring Burbank Studio's. They heard about this place on Bar Rescue television program. It's one of the few bars that have survived. This place is so comfortable and homey like my living room. The bartender was so friendly you felt you were among family. I live in Virginia, wish I had a place like this nearby. Good spot to catch a game and have some drinks. Champs has plenty of T.V's so there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The bar area has table and bar stool seating, and the back of the bar has dart boards, shuffle board, and pool tables. Nothing special about the food, it's what you would expect . I so enjoy discovering a new place because of trivia! My friends and I came on a Tuesday night for a fun trivia night and had fun! I got the buffalo chicken wings and jalapeno poppers. I have been to Champs only a couple of times to watch football. Last night, I went with a group to watch the Packers vs. Eagles game. The bar was packed! I did, unfortunately, arrive absolutely STARVING, which is ground zero for me. Never a good time. Anyway, I ordered my food and waited for SO long. Our server put in my food twice and still didn't know where it was. We don't know what happened, but it took almost an hour before my food came out. It did come out, staff handled the situation SO well. Our server was very apologetic and brought me plenty of Diet Coke! It was a very busy night and I think the kitchen was backed up. These things do happen! This could have been a super negative experience, but the staff was so kind and helpful and handled the situation well and I did eventually get my burger, which was great! Cooked well, nice flavor, the fries are awesome. While this isn't the perfect restaurant experience, I have to commend the staff for handling the situation well. It was a busy night, and it wasn't a great night for us Packers fans (we lost!!) but at the end of the day, the staff was great and the food was good. read more

Stopped by to grab some drinks and watch the chargers play against the chiefs last Friday. The ambiance is full of neon lights from the dcors they have, moderate lighting. I noticed that it was also family friendly, staff interacts with customers well (locals) plenty of top tables/stools and TV's surrounding so moderate noise level. Plenty of tables to site at including the bar area. You can tell people come here to watch the major sports, fights, etc. There is also seating outside too. Pool tables and darts, etc. At first, service was a tad bit slow, but once we got our server's attention, we got our food and drinks; later on, he checked in and we got another round of drinks. By then, the bar was pretty packed inside. They have gender neutral restrooms available. I believe they also have parking in the back lot. For the food: I decided to play it safe and ordered appetizers. I went with the jalapeno poppers and mozzarella sticks. They were both really good; they both arrived nice and hot and I enjoyed them. Finding an old-school thriving football Sunday experience since pandemic has mostly been met with half empty bars with almost no camaraderie and obviously increased costs/prices. I've been coming here for years, but this place was also described as above so it was hard to spend the $ and not get the experience I was looking for, but opening weekend I wanted to support them and and check the pulse again and I'm happy to say that opening NFL Sunday was PACKED, so that's a good sign. read more

Great Sport Bar with some good food and great service. The overall vibe here is fun. The patrons and the staff both make this place awesome. There are a plethora of TV's, a couple pool tables, darts and the classic golf bar game. I was there with a party of 6 on a busy Sunday. We had a big order and asked for separate checks. The waitress and bartenders could not have been more acomidating and friendly. I was waiting at the bar for a drink and while the busy bartender was serving the people before me, she made eye contact with me and told me she'll be right with me. I had a great time here this Saturday, we came for UFC, and i would recommend this spot. Plenty of seats ,tv's, pool tables, and 1 dart board. I really liked at the end of the night different Dj's were spinning for about 25m each and the music was really nice. The only reason i gave it 4 was due to the food. Twas a cold and rainy night that I stumbled into what I would refer to as a dive bar. I am not usually one to complain, let alone so cynically but this is one of those rare moments where I'll be exceptionally such. Picture if you will, a room so cramped and music so loud you cannot hope to hear yourself think, let alone order a drink. Even when you get that drink, it's very poorly mixed and the food to go with it is some how even more of a disappointment with the lukewarm cheese served opposite of a pretzel. You may ask yourself, why not rate it one star? Because at least the bartenders are nice and that's something we can all use on a Saturday night bar crawl. Cheers. read more

Champs is exactly what it sets out to be - a great & reliable, no-frills neighborhood sports bar. I've lived in this neighborhood for about 1.5 years and have gone to Champs a handful of times. The food has always hit the spot. I love the burgers the most, and their fries are particularly yummy. We've also come on a Sunday (Football), and they do have a brunch-y type menu, including mimosas & bloody Mary's. I had the breakfast burrito which was pretty solid, and my husband had the breakfast sandwich. I thought the sandwich was fantastic. Also their triple deck clubs are no joke - they are gigantic and amazing. They have a good selection of beer. Service is always very friendly. Iv been here a few times, very had a bad time. Some of the waitresses are very good some are just ok, but never bad:)- the first two times I only had Diet Coke, I don't drink alcohol. The bartenders at Champs did a great job. I've been coming to this bar since the late 80s. The new owners have fucked up the vibe in the bar. I came in on a Monday night to see some friends that are playing in pool league and the waitress Savannah has more interest in her phone and hanging out behind the bar versus bringing drinks out onto the floor. My personal thought is she's about a waste of oxygen as an employee. As a company owner... I would Fire her. read more

People are rude and impolite. Don't come back to your table ever and it seems like they could care less about guests. Food is bad and over priced and ambiance is terrible no music or anything and again they all seem lazy and like your unwanted. Would not recommend. read more

Moved into the neighborhood a few months ago, and started coming here regularly. The food is good, the service is solid, and the crowd has been nice. There are some poor reviews on Yelp of this place, but they look like they all were from before a change of ownership or management a little more than a year ago from what we heard, which makes sense. Was my first time at Champs a couple days ago. Parking was easy. Food was great. Service was great. So many TV's, so you'll always be able to see the game no matter where you sit. There is a proper Pool room in the back with two tables. The whole atmosphere and set up of the place is just really accommodating. I seen this place on Bar Rescue, so we decided to drop in. Ordered the sidewinders and southwestern eggrolls. When I seen the sidewinders I was like, "I just had these the other day, they were disgusting!" But at a place in another town. To my surprise these were awesome! The eggrolls were fresh, the dipping sauces were very good. Then it was drink time. My Paloma was very good, and chased it with a beer. Love this place. Bartender Correen is awesome and friendly. The regulars and daytime clientele are a riot. I had the grilled blackened chicken sandwich, which was amazing, with fries.
