The last time I got my nails done, it was at this location, about 5 weeks ago and my pedicure color was still completely on. It's super relaxing here & I love coming here after work for a spa pedicure. Currently getting the green tea spa pedi, last time I got the espresso pedicure and loved it as well. I love this place. I have a standing appointment with Arling every 2 weeks. I only have to wait afew minutes if she's with someone else. She is so efficient and quick. My powder gel is done in an hour!! Never happens anywhere else! She always remembers my preferences. ARLING GETS 5 STARS. Sometimes I feel that the spa itself doesn't coordinate well so they get 4. Spa week sure does get you in the door, doesn't it? I was impressed by this small spa's decor. Everything is cute, zen, but miniature. The locker room can't fit 2 people @ a time, but it's sufficient. The waiting area is nice...trailmix, tea, water, magazines couches, chairs and the like welcome you. Their massages are a bit odd - at some points they're great at getting into problem muscle areas and at others it just feels like someone is caressing your skin. Their facials are ok - I think they did a good job of washing my face...and putting lotion on. Their body scrubs...again, someone caressing your skin with a brillo pad. All in all, no need to return, but if you live locally and just want something to do, it's not that bad. Their prices are great during spa week and average all other times. This place is ok. I scheduled a couples massage for my anniversary with my husband and had a nice time but we will probably not be returning. The place looks much nicer in the pictures and was a bit cramped and cluttered in person. The massage was average but it was hard to relax since the woman kept having to push the bed back and forth in order to move around it since the room was so small. I also felt the room needed a good clean. For the price we paid I would rather pay an extra $20 and go to a fancier place. read more

I went to this place not even a week ago to get a gel manicure. I was seated and a man was selected to do my nails. I picked an OPI gel color and he kept insisting I use Essie or Shellac. I stayed with OPI. I already have thin weak nails and he buffed the shit out of them making them worst. Needless to say, its been not even a week, after 3 days the nail polish was chipped on multiple fingers. The polish job was horrible and watered down. I will never be going back to this salon nor ever recommend it. I only went because it was open late night. Terrible service and rude workers who talk about you in Chinese. read more

Terrible nail salon- "Sonia" the tech who did my mani/pedi barely filed my toe nails for the pedicure, the majority of the nail technicians give you attitude, and then I was insulted and told my nails were "broken" and then asked why her tip was low (in retrospect I shouldn't have tipped at all). The second time I spent extra money for some dip powder Bc they don't do acrylic nails and they say it lasts longer yet 4 nails have Fallen off in 3 days! Had to come back because the gel pedicure I got with my sister and mom started peeling within two days of getting it. Also we went before the holiday so yeah I understand they were busy, but they completely rushed us in and out of there. Also when they were using the UV light to harden the gel the had the water running so I had to worry about getting electrocuted on top of that. Our gel pedicure was over $100 and to have all that happen I wanted to get a new set of pedicures or get my money back. After fighting with them for some time I told them that it was unacceptable for them to rush us and charge that amount. With this I got my sister, my mother, and I new pedicures. I'm writing this review while I'm currently sitting in the chair getting them redone and I have to say the service is still bad. I will give it to them they are making sure that the job is done correctly this time, but on my pedicure specifically the woman didn't bother using a new set of tools which is completely unacceptable. I'm waiting for the UV light to come out and potentially have to go through the fear of potentially being electrocuted again. If you don't see anymore reviews from me you'll know what happened. I've been going to this nail salon on and off for about 8 years. They have always been my favorite up until my last visit. I was going every two weeks to get a Gel manicure and this time I also scheduled a pedicure. I thought they were a pretty clean facility, however this time I learned they are NOT. While getting my pedicure, my technician, Sonia, was talking to the woman next to her while she was scrubbing my feet. She scrubbed them so hard that she cut the side of my foot open leaving a huge hole. She promptly cleaned it and put on a band-aid, apologizing profusely. No big deal accidents happen. My problem is that even after returning home and cleaning it with peroxide and applying neosporin with a bandaid, it quickly became infected to the point where I was limping. I went to my doctor and was put on antibiotics and diagnosed with cellulitis. I went back about 3 weeks after this incident just for a manicure and when talking to the girl at the front desk about what had happened she asked me if my foot was cut before the pedicure and then told me to bring my receipt from three weeks ago and then maybe she can give me a refund. RIDICULOUS. A month later now and my foot still did not heal, and I had to go see an infectious disease doctor who then was worried about further infections and put me on even more antibiotics for fear that I could have mrsa. They DO NOT clean the tools. They claim to, but I have witnessed them taking the tools directly after using them, placing them in the bags without even rinsing them. It's disgusting. Clearly they are not cleaning the pedicure area either otherwise I would not have an infection so bad in my foot that I am limping and now on 3 antibiotics. I will NEVER be returning to this nail salon and recommend you go else where because I am not the only one who has gotten an infection from here. read more

I have been coming here for nine years. I used to love it. But now I am done. As with all service businesses, they get comfortable and the long term, loyal customers are the ones who suffer. All of the complaints in other reviews are spot on. I got tired of my long term technician taking advantage of our good rapport and my generous tipping. She got lazy, didn't listen to my specifics, I was increasingly frustrated. When she went to China for a month and I had to use someone else, I stuck with her. Still, every visit, you want leg massage? You want spa pedicure? No. I come in telling you what I want. Last visit I was scheduled for a spa pedicure and I chose green tea which I've had many times. She tells me I have callouses, use callous remover. I've had this in the past. However my feet were not in bad condition. I said "just very little bit". Later after I'm home one foot hurts, hard to walk on it, twinges of pain, I twist around to get a look and see a deep red abrasion. I was flipping out! I saw the podiatrist who said my SKIN WAS BURNED OFF. He further stated that no one should ever have this product applied ever! You need your callouses, soak and moisturize and use only a natural pumice stone. I was lucky it was not more serious. I was treated and am almost completely healed. Side note on the spa pedis. Some are pre packaged for individual use. Others, including the most popular green tea have the products in tubs that each tech just sticks her fingers into. This is gross. I considered going in to ask Frank for a refund on the "burn your skin" pedicure as well as reimbursement for my medical copayment, but I just don't have the energy. read more

In my quest to find a Nail Salon, I spread my wings to Bellmore and discovered positive reviews for this spot. I have been here twice. Both times were very pleasant. The sinks were clean and the women were very nice. Although they were busy, I didn't have to wait long because there are so many technicians. They had all the "hot" colors on display. It costs about a buck more for a pedicure than other salons but I could afford a few extra quarters for peace and tranquility. Yay! I'm a fan! read more

The salon was clean, service was generally ok. I went for a mani-pedi and a brazilian wax and it came out to $79 with the tips. I told the woman doing my nails that I wanted a brazilian wax and when we got into the room she realized she wasn't capable of doing a full brazilian wax, so she got another employee to take over. That was a little embarrasing considering she took one look at my situation and left the room... she couldn't speak much English either so the communication was limited. The woman who waxed me kept on using the same strip over and over (this doesn't feel pleasant at all). The nail drying station was right by the door and, it being January and all, was pretty chilly my poor feet were blue by the time I was finished drying. Don't let the nice looks of the place fool you. It seems like a manicure factory in here- at least when I went on a Saturday. The women working there rushed around, not seeming to care about their customers. When I was getting my manicure, the woman put my hands in very hot water. When I asked politely to have cooler water she made a face and squirted a tiny bit of cooler water in the bowl. She rushed through my manicure and was talking about the other customers around me (how loud they were) which made me uncomfortable. After reading these comments I had to add mine. My wife and I had gone to Fantastic several times a couple years ago and we definitely had a very bad experience in the nail section. For instance, an employee there, LUCY, would talk about us in Korean to her other coworkers while we were there (it was so obvious). At the time, Frank at the front desk was nice and made sure we were comfortable however we decided not to go there any more because we don't need the workers staring at us and making comments. It is also not professional for the employees to be making frowns when we tipped them (looks like that happened to some other guests as mentioned in the other posts.) As for the spa we have had facials and spas there and compares to all the other spas I've gone to, Fantastic makes the BOTTOM of the list. The best part of the spa was the snacks and water. My wife is particular and has found a much better spa for less money and its called Aurora Foot Spa on North Jerusalem road in Levittown . it is extremely clean. You can get a 1 hour foot massage for 25.00 or a 30.00 1 hour full body massage. Ask for 'Lee' (male) and there are coupons in the Hometown Shopper Pennysaver .... And my wife and I now go to Salon By Grace in Oyster Bay for our manicures and pedicures (highly recommended) they are welcoming and very helpful there. there are tons of salons on Long Island but only a few are clean and polite with thorough service. -Jordan read more

So I've been here before a few years ago, i had a painful first facial experience. But I'm here to talk about my massage experience today. First of all they apparently don't listen to their spa finder page which says accepts gif cards, there was never a note that said they don't accept gift cards for any treatment. I had a special so I could not use my gift card what a load of BS! I find it silly they decide when to accept spa finder gift cards, it shouldn't matter if it's a special or not. And that not on their website! My experience - was enjoyable and i do agree with some comments on the staff being upset with tips. Honestly for all treatments including nails, waxing...etc. there should be small envelopes to put the tip so there wouldn't be any looks. Massage was great, and deal was great but gift card issue really pissed me off. So all in all -- the spa is great but service could be A LOT BETTER. they were clean! and massage great that's why the 3 stars service needs a lil help. read more

Love this place. They do quality work and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes for a mani or pedi. The spa is also very high quality considering it's in a nail salon. It is definitely a VERY big step up from other nail places that offer massages. The spa is completely separate and has a small locker room, steam room, and sitting room with tea and fruit. Had a pedicure there today. I like how clean the facility is, they use a liner in the tub and disposable pumice pads. They have renovated the place and it's very nice. However, I had "Sonia" today. She was more interested in talking to the worker next to her than doing my feet. At one point she was actually filing my nails and looking at thee friend. She barely put any cream on my legs and I got NO massage at all at my pedicure and a less than one minute shoulder rub. I bring my own color and at $21 for a basic pedicure this is on the high side and I expect good service. It's like they want you to go for the "special" pedicure which is even more $$. This is the 2nd time I've been disappointed. The last time I just walked out after waiting awhile without anyone letting me know how long it would be. Just sit there! This review is for the spa only. I booked a prenatal massage and indicated on the registration card that I did not want them to massage my ankles because I understand that is bad for the baby. 1. My biggest issue is that I'm pregnant and was dying for a foot rub. I have had upwards of 50 full body massages in my life and have never had one that did not include the feet. But they didn't rub my feet at all. They claimed they do not do that for pregnant women (not stated on the services menu) but I explicitly said not to massage my ankles- you would think they would realize that I expected my feet to be rubbed. Then they told me that I should've said something. Why should I be keeping track of the time and interrupt my relaxing massage to make sure you're doing what I paid you to do??? And how can you possibly massage a pregnant woman and not touch her feet?? Absurd and lazy in my opinion. Also my husband got a regular full body massage and said they barely touched his feet. 2. they do not have a proper prenatal massage bed- no hole in the middle for the belly so I had to lie on my sides alternating so she could massage whatever side was facing up. The problem:after she massaged my right side, I had to spend 15 minutes squished on that side which basically undid any relaxation of my muscles and was so uncomfortable. Don't waste your time. This place isn't bad for nails and waxing but when it comes to massages spring for a real day spa experience. I left this place frustrated and upset and not relaxed at all. I used to go here for years for manicure and pedicure. They have gone downhill. The person answering the phone has become rude, the place looks worn and dirty. I promised not to come back because my last experience was so bad. But I decided to give them one more try and just came in for a pedicure. It was almost a full hour until they were closing and they were visibly annoyed that I walked in since they were cleaning up. My pedicure was done in 12 minutes start to finish for $20. Horrible job and Lisa, the manicurist cut my cuticles and made them bleed! Shes the worst! Not returning. There are too many other good options. read more
