Butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan
    H S.

Totally forgot to take pics before we started eating but this was by far some of the BEST indian food I've ever had!! Reasonable prices and the owner was very friendly. That garlic naan bread tho...winner!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant looked clean and smelled delicious when we walked in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will definitely be back!!

Bottom: butter chicken Top: lamb curry

Quaint small restaurant conveniently located near hotel. Service was excellent and food was very good. Butter chicken - flavorful and lots of sauce for rice and naan to dip in. A bit on the tangy side Lamb curry - didn't try because it was husband's dish but he said it was good. Bowl looks deceptively small but it's a filling portion Garlic naan - not what I'm used to, more like soft pita bread but was so good. Warm and soft and perfect for dipping. Samosas - bit pricey for 2 pieces. A little dry but has good flavor. Chai - good hot tea Mango lemonade - pretty good bubbly drink.

I ate here today because I work right around the corner, and I was very impressed! The customer service was top notch! The person at the counter was so kind as to explain menu options to me and vegetarian options as well. They were relatively quick getting my food to me as well. The restaurant had a nice decor and was very clean. The prices were decent. Because I am vegetarian, I ordered the Chana Masala to go, which is a tomato curry dish with Garbanzo beans and cilantro. It was very good! I highly recommend this dish. I had it with Garlic Naan and the Naan was also tasty! The food was warm and well prepared. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want great Indian street food, and I will be ordering from here again.

This restaurant serves good Indian Food. I ordered Butter Chicken, Pudina Lamb (Lamb Kebab Wrap) and Kebab Salad (with lamb slices) The Butter Chicken and Pudina Lamb were very good, and the Kebab Salad was very tasty, except the lamb slices were cold (which was not very appealing). Overall, it was a good experience and the staff were very friendly.

Mysore Masala Dosa (front) and Thali Tiffin Box

*Open for dine-in March 2022* Walked in around lunch time on a rainy day, and quite a few people are waiting for takeout. We tried the Thali Tiffin Box with Meat $15.95 and Mysore Masala Dosa $11.95. The dosa was decent, slightly crispy on the edge, with chili sauce and spiced potato. It's filling, and good for sharing. The Thali was mediocre. Most dishes, including the butter chicken, lamb and rice, were lukewarm or cold. The flavors are decent, but the meat was dry/tough.

Nice and simple. Hidden in the lower queen anne hills. From the outside it Looks more like a vegan spot or corner market. The interior is nice and simple. The Food is nice and simple. Even their ourdoor eating space is nice and simple. Very clean. I ordered breakfast and dinner at the same time. Together the even out to an interesting lunch. The sun was out so I sat outside. I can't remember what the breakfast sandwich was called but it was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had, but still good. The bread it was on was nice and soft. I only wish is had a suace. Without sauce, the sandwich is dry. The curry was much better than the sandwich. I ordered their butter chicken. So good. Makes me winder what the other options taste like. A larger portion would have made me happier. Also the chicken was a bit over cooked and tough, but the flavors, so nice. My Chai was bursting with flavor, but light at the same time. There was a very minty or earthy kick to it that played very well with the cold milky flavors and spicy Chai. Their Mango cheese cake was very delicious, but is borderline not actually a cheese cake. More of a cross between flan, cheesecake, and pumpkin pie. Their Mango sauce drizzle was a nice touch. Very tangy and kick up the mild sweet flavors of the cheesecake. So Glad I finally came to check this place out.

    Vada Pav
    Archita C.

Rounding up from 2.5. The food was okay. Not bad but not good either. I tasted the Vada pav - it was a bit dry. And the masala dosa - again a bit tasteless. It did not come with the traditional sambar. I also ordered the masala chai, that was good. It came with 2 parleG Biscuits with felt nostalgic and was a nice touch. The place was clean and the service was decent.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely ambience, well decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dosa was simple and tasty - more like a homemade dosa. Pav bhaji was tasty, not mashed too well though. Masala chai was delicious. Service was good too.

The experience exceeded my expectations, specifically for exceptional service! As we walked in the door, the hostess was super friendly. We sat at the large high-top table with the fire pit nearest to the hostess stand with a view of the water. Our server, Amber, consistently went above and beyond and carried herself with a bubbly and positive aura. She guided our selections of fries, fish tacos, salmon mousse, and tuna poke bites and frequently checked on us to make sure we were doing okay. Amber was also very professional and polite when she cleared plates and dropped off the drinks and food. Speaking of the food, every dish had great presentation. I wouldn't say the taste was out of the world but everything was still good and worth the price. The two hours we spent there flew by and by the time we decided to wrap up, all three of us were commenting on the great service (which led me to write this review). As a final gesture of hospitality by the restaurant, the hostess let my mom keep the bar purse hook that was given to her to hang her purse. I will definitely come back here the next time I'm in Seattle.

Following the initial three visits, the last time we were visited was to ask if we wanted dessert, to which I asked for the check. The manager, Scott, filled in the gap of noticing when my partner was low on a beverage and checking to see if we liked our food. Taste is subjective, however, it was shocking to experience the lack of the most basic seasonings... salt. The most minuscule amount would have made a difference. I would have asked for some but again, there wasn't much of an opportunity. The steak which costed $79, seemed to lack a salted seared crust. The $16 dollar foraged and sautéed mushroom, might as well been foraged tossed in a frying pan to make them soggy without the slightest hint of salt, pepper, or even butter. The reviews seemed decent and the views looked beautiful but if you're looking to spend money on a nice evening, I would suggest looking elsewhere, as I would take okay service and great food over okay service and okay (expensive) food.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

Pro tip: The best part is during happy hour from 3-6pm (and also maybe during lunch hours?) they're only $2 each which is a steal! Other than the oysters we also had the smoked black cod which is out of this world and a MUST GET in my book.
