Came here by myself today to enjoy breakfast. Service was amazing staff greeted me instantly upon entering and sat me down at my table. My waitress was so sweet and attentive. The monster panini was so delicious and filling! It came with bacon,Taylor ham, sausage and three sunny side up eggs and cheddar cheese! This panini could be easily shared because they were not shy about how much meat was provided! I was very impressed by how tasty it was considering I am not one who enjoys Taylor ham or sausage that much. It was very well cooked and looked amazing as it came to my table! Went for brunch with my sister and our kiddies. Drinks- Kids' drinks came in closed cups with straws which is great because it lessens the likelihood of spills Coffee for us adults was very good. We also asked for lemon water. Food- Toddler age 4 had the pasta which he said was so good. Toddler age 3 was able to finish half of his grilled cheese so definitely can say he liked it. My teenager loved her buffalo chicken fingers with fries. She even asked for extra sauce. My sister had a burger which she said was delicious especially the chipotle mayo they used. I had a Buffalo chicken sandwich. I enjoyed it just wish I could have had it grilled but it wasn't an option when I asked. Portions were generous for all meals. There may have been two booths aside from ours that were occupied. The menu had something for everyone. Wide selection of items with detailed descriptions. When it came time to order, our waitress (Emily), took all three of our orders without writing anything down. I thought she would be a pro since she was so confident on remembering all the details. To no surprise, when our order came, all three of our orders had something wrong with them. Also, was turned off with the way some of our food came out before the others. I went here during leap day of 2020 and had a great brunch. The service here is great and it looks and feels family owned. I'm so glad to have this diner near where I live now. Service is great, staff and owner are very friendly, it's clean and always decorated so nicely for various holidays. I've mostly gone for lunch or dinner and the food is always terrific and the portions generous. Some of my favorites (I don't eat meat) are the shrimp wrap, salmon wrap, salmon dinner, fish tacos, and the eggplant parm. All delicious. The specials are a nice deal including soup or salad and tea or coffee. The salad is great, mixed greens, toppings and choice of dressing. I do wish they had gluten free options, especially for pancakes and waffles, and fresh fruit would be great for those too as I'm not a big compote fan. I was hungry, so I decided to order the pikilia house platter to start. It was massive and came with grape leaves, hummus, tomatoes, cucumbers, pita bread, tzatziki sauce, and hummus. Everything tasted good, and I liked the hummus a lot. It was nothing extraordinary but everything tasted good. I was in the Greek mood and decided to order a gyro which came with french fries. The gyro was massive, in fact maybe the biggest gyro I've had. In all, good. Service: Our waitress was friendly and funny. She was one of the best waitresses I've had in a while. I had the monkey business (banana + walnuts + powered sugar + whipped cream) pancakes and my boyfriend had the steak & eggs with home fries. I loved that they cook the banana and walnuts inside the pancakes. Most places put the fresh bananas on top but cooking them inside the pancakes really does make them more indulgent (everything you love about banana walnut muffins). And I never order steak and eggs (because I'm not much of a steak person) but I tasted my some of my boyfriend's and it made me almost wish I did. The home fries were a great compliment too. She was confused so I pointed at it directly and she still did not understand what I wanted -The chili is 9 dollars, that is literally meat in a bowl with cheese. It is dry. It is not chili. basically just cooked ground beef with cheese. -Our jalapeño poppers came with marinara sauce when the menu said they come with ranch, we asked for sour cream to dip them in so at least that worked out -Ordered two chicken bacon ranch paninis. Both came with NO RANCH and were completely dry -Total bill was 60 dollars for some of the worst food I've ever had. Go to the Pompton Queen diner, Gotham City diner, Saddlebrook Diner. I don't know if she took over and it is under new ownership but they're very unprofessional and rude I will not. Cozy local reasonably priced diner, good for families and maybe breakfast because it's kind a hard to not cook eggs correctly. And they are very nice. Food is meh by most standards, fries obviously frozen & burgers might be as well. Also I'm sure I saw owner/ lead kitchen to customer hospitality person push food with his hand back on the plate. I don't freak about these kind of things like others might but I sense quality is not necessarily planned in. That means it's still inspected in so don't freak either because quality is about whether customers are satisfied & fitness for use. It's been awhile, I was overtired, and I had just won tickets in a radio contest) and service was good. Well, if you're ever not sure about a diner, try the dessert. I even saw them seating more and more after us. The place was busy, and we didn't want to keep the workers there any later than we may have been making them stay. So we ordered quickly and received our food just as quick. I ordered a chicken sandwich, which was huge, and came with fries. My aunt ordered a breakfast sandwich and hash browns. However, the parking is atrocious, and the servers each of the times we've been there have been either slow or unfriendly.
