Hubby and I are happy regulars at Farm Kitchen! A bit pricey for their main breakfast meal, but it's so worth it. There's usually a long line early on but it dies down once 10am rolls around. I love their tasty potatoes; my husband LOVES the sausages. Their pastries are really good too; I've had their pecan sticky buns, and a couple of their cookies and breads but my favorite was the peach streussel cake. YUM!! Customer service is almost non-existent once you get your food but that's never been an issue. read more

Pricey ($10.25 for the main breakfast, extra if you want sides or pastries) but you get delicious food in a cute setting, with friendly, speedy service. For the October 1 breakfast, they served this amazing citrus cream cheese stuffed brioche French toast with marionberry-strawberry compote. The thick-cut bacon was probably the best bacon I've ever had... thick and crispy, not too fatty, and just the right amount of saltiness. The "fresh fruit" was 2 slices of orange... could have been more exciting. The pumpkin spice bread was pretty good too. We arrived at 11:40am. Fortunately, they were still serving, and there was no line! I hear that the line is long when they first open though. So... better late than early? ;) read more

I love the Farm Kitchen! How did I not know this little gem was only 10 minutes away from my home?!? I met a group of friends here for their first Saturday of the month breakfast. The line was decently long. But, they have a great ordering system that allows for an efficient flow. The breakfast special was citrus cream cheese stuffed french toast, bacon, and fruit...delicious! My daughter ordered eggs, potatoes, and apple sage sausage. Literally the best sausage, hand formed patties...great :) Great place for a leisurely breakfast. Afterwards, the children played outside in the field. And, we perused the garden/grounds, stopping to see the horses and cows. We will definitely be returning for next months breakfast! read more

I am VERY UNHAPPY with this place. Rumor has it they make an excellent breakfast, so this last Saturday, I was excited to give it a try They only have this event once a month, so I've had this day tentatively listed in my planner for quite some time. After several months of clashing engagements, we were finally able to go. We woke up early. Caught the ferry over from Seattle. Picked up my parents. Drove all the way out to the farm in Kingston At this point we were vested 3 hours into eating this breakfast, so when we saw a massive line of people out front, we decided to wait. This didn't bother us at first. It was sunny out and just the anticipatory thoughts of brioche french toast stuffed with citrus cream cheese and thick sliced bacon was enough to keep us standing in line. In any case, we stood in line for approximately and hour and a half... I'm not exaggerating. Then a woman in an apron comes out and announces, "The moment has finally come. We are out of french toast and we don't even know if we have enough eggs or potatoes for the rest of you." Out of the blue. No warning. Apparently they couldn't count and make that determination an hour beforehand. Nope. Instead, they just wasted an hour and a half of our day. To me... it's bad business to not offer something for people's wasted time. Perhaps a discounted meal on your next visit. Or a certificate to move to the front of the line, so you don't have to waste any more of your time. This place may be rumored to be good... but I'm definitely not going to find out. read more

I'd recommend getting here early to make sure you get in. We arrived at 9:20am and there wasn't a line to get in but they were busy. They serve breakfast from 8am-12pm. Parking can be tricky because there are so many people. Once in the dining room it wasn't as packed as we expected based on the number of cars outside. For February they were serving French Toast stuffed with cream cheese with a berry compote and thick sliced bacon with orange slices. The food was excellent! $10.25 for the meal, $2.25 for coffee with refills. The table service is nonexistent except someone wiping your table and dropping off the food. You get your own coffee refills from the stations set up in the dining room. My Mom enjoyed her french toast and my Dad had the eggs and sausage sides which was only $6.50. He liked his high protein meal. The surrounding farm grounds are beautiful. I would love to come back every month if possible and will definitely make a point to come back the next time I'm able to visit! The price isn't cheap but it's not expensive either. The people working at the event center were friendly and upbeat. We heard it gets very hectic here and they run out of food sometimes. The dining is cafeteria style. Coming for breakfast seems like a great way to see what Farm Kitchen has to offer! I would prefer a bit more of a service level (checking in on the guests, pouring coffee refills) but I realize this is not how Farm Kitchen chooses to operate with their breakfasts being served only once a month. read more

It took me two months to get a return call from this place. That's uncalled for. They have a commerical kitchen for rent (which is hard to find), hold cooking classes and other events, and also have available event space. It's a nice place for weddings & receptions. Surrounded by gardens, there is a Guest House for rent, and a Saturday breakfast served. This I know is GREAT!! The atmosphere is a lovely old fashioned farm style building. read more

If you are looking for a quaint, country atmosphere for a wedding and reception or similar event, this is as good as it gets. I came here recently with A to attend her friend's wedding reception. Judging by the selection of this event only, I can say the surroundings are lovely, the establishment is modern, not barn-like or cottagey, the catered dinner was nice and the general feel of the place as one would hope. Literally the place sort of melded itself to the event. The spread is large so there are lots of private places to roam and take photos. Meanwhile a band can play in another part of the farm and those interested can enjoy it. Farm Kitchen put out white linens, had a nice sheltered area and patio (better than a party-tent), plenty of parking, and for those who want it, there was a barn with the smell of hay nearby. The wait for drinks was short while the under-age set played lawn games and texted in the shades and drank root-beer. Don't sweat the ferry lines! Poulsbo and Port Gamble are nearby, so come early and enjoy the Kitsap. -TP read more

We went to the September first Saturday breakfast and I was unexpectedly surprised by how much I enjoyed the experience. They were serving eggs, sausage, roasted potatoes, and scones. All very simple, but all great. We came late (around 11:30) and there was no line. We did have to wait awhile for our food, but it was a beautiful day and a beautiful setting so we didn't mind. When our food came they were out of scones but they gave us cinnamon rolls instead so no problem there. The sausage was the best part of the meal...really enjoyed it. I also loved that the plate was full of food. No skimpy portions. Based on other reviews I'm not sure if I would have been as thrilled if I was coming all the way from Seattle (we were in Poulsbo so it was just a few minutes drive). It may be a great addition to a day trip, but don't be expecting the best food you've ever had if you choose to drive a few hours to get there...just enjoy the setting and the simplicity of the meal. read more

As a wedding coordinator, I get to experience many local wedding venues, and I have to say, Farm Kitchen is one of my favorites. Anne and Hollis are experienced venue managers, and always wonderful to work with. I have coordinated events at Farm Kitchen for several years, and each year the grounds and facility are more beautiful than the last. The venue continues to get upgrades, both in the gardens, but also in the reception, ceremony and guest house space-- with a new reception tent, dining chairs, a new arbor, and a beautiful fire pit area for those at the guesthouse to enjoy in the last year alone. I should note, while they do put on fabulous First Saturday breakfasts (which I have often enjoyed!) the venue does not offer catering for weddings (though I am sure if they did it would be fabulous!). Instead, couples can choose from an extensive list of local, as well as Seattle-based caterers to plan and provide food for their event. As venue managers go, Anne and Hollis are the very best kind: they swing by the rehearsal the day before the event and review the venue rental details with the wedding party and family members. On the day of the event, they open the venue at the couple's designated start time, provide staff to assist with parking, as well as setting up all of the ceremony chairs, and other than that, stay out of the event, unless needed (Hollis is incredibly talented and media technology, and has kindly assisted us with slideshows/techie details in the past). They allow the couple's DJ, or MC to handle all of the event's announcements and timing, then step in again at the end of the reservation to assist with cleanup (their staff puts away tables, chairs etc.). That Farm Kitchen is a beautiful venue in all seasons, and I highly recommend it to any couples looking for a fun and unique venue for their wedding. read more

This review is of a First Saturday breakfast in March. A car full of friends made a special trip to Poulsbo this morning to have breakfast at Farm Kitchen. We arrived around 8:30 and was greeted just outside the door. Our breakfast and drink orders were taken and we were handed our tab. I ordered the featured breakfast of multigrain pancakes with thick cut bacon and fruit, with a side of eggs and a coffee. A few of my friends decided to build their own breakfast by choosing a few side orders. With our tab we entered the building where we could choose to add any of the baked goods to take back home or to further accompany our breakfast. I added a set of four pecan sticky buns to try later. I liked the whole ordering system. I can see how it could be efficient when they have a rush of people. I filled my cups of coffee and water and grabbed my flatware and my group secured a table without much trouble. The dining area was well lit with the large windows and a number of glass doors. I could see how the seating space could expand when the weather improved. We received our food shortly after we sat and everything looked good and that is how everything tasted - good. Not great, not mind blowing, but good. The pancakes were a little denser than ones I usually make, but I felt like I could replicate them at home. My scrambled eggs were a too firm, plus I overheard someone else if they could have their eggs served over-medium, but he was told that scrambled were the only options. That makes sense since they likely serve a lot of people and they want to keep things efficient. Just a few moments ago, I headed a sticky bun in the toaster oven and that was really tasty. Not too sweet and the pecans added a nice touch. Overall, the food was good, but it seems like I could get something pretty similar in Seattle and I don't think it was worth taking the trip up to the farm. However, I would want to go up there at least once more when more things are in season to see what they can come up with breakfast/pastry-wise. read more

We were thrilled to find a working farm that is also an event venue in our own backyard. As a venue they have no nonsense or hidden fees -- their prices were very upfront compared to many others that have random "20% service fees". They do have a potentially restrictive list of vendors but we easily found great service that fit our needs and provided excellent quality. The owners, Anne and Hollis, are very nice but are by-the-book -- read your contract carefully and there should be no problems. They are very experienced planners and have a good sense of what will work and what needs to be taken into consideration and helped make our wedding day a success. It was great to have the option to rent out the venue for the wedding weekend. We were able to have the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and Sunday morning brunch all at different locations on the property and all with distinctly different but cohesive feels. Much like many restaurants on Bainbridge Island, Farm Kitchen farms all their ingredients from herbs to chickens to cows. Many people from the Seattle area ride the ferry early in the morning for Farm Kitchen's brunch. Due to being a farm, this place is opened bright and early. We were also there the weekend they ran out of French Toast filling, but let's be fair - they had JUST been written up in the Seattle Times, so they had a bigger then expected crowd. We did manage to get the French Toast, just sans the creme cheese filling. The French Toast we had we scrumptious. Slightly crunchy on the outside, fluffy in the middle. We also had eggs, and a side of the red potatoes. All of it was first delicious, and worth the wait, though when we go back next month, I'm going to get up early to try to beat the rush. Farm Kitchen specializes in gourmet breakfasts, and are only open one day a month. Because they are not a greasy spoon with a fixed menu, of course you risk them running out of menu items if there's a bigger than expected turnout. I've had that happen to me at plenty of other restaurants, particularly the finer ones that have rotating menus. To me, that's part of eating at smaller, popular restaurants. Instead of griping about something that could happen anywhere, we made the best of our trip, had a great breakfast, then did some hiking. We've since been back for their Rustic Bread baking class, which I highly recommend. I've taken a few cooking classes, and this was one of the better ones - plenty of hands on, and just the right amount of info. read more

Food was pretty good, awesome yogurt and granola, iffy eggs and putting fruit as part of the breakfast special when that means two orange slices. If breakfast is too early, the Farm Kitchen offers evening and weekend cooking classes fall through spring (summer is reserved for gorgeous outdoor weddings) that are fun, informative and just a great time! All during our wedding planning, as we spoke to vendors, when asked where our venue was, we always received the same reply: "I loooove Anne and Hollis!" Anne and Hollis are simply amazing. Farm Kitchen is a beautiful venue, but what truly makes it special are Anne and Hollis. They take to time to welcome you into their home and have you feel like your wedding day is relaxing as a game night at home. The venue is large enough that all your guests can spread out and enjoy the party in their own way. Most of our wedding day is still a blur (it really does go by fast!) but our coordinator, bridesmaids, and groomsmen who worked with Anne and Hollis directly were all smiles and compliments for them. Our family and friends loved the venue and the location. All but a handful of our guests were from out-of-state and were blown away by the beauty of Farm Kitchen and the surrounding area. Additionally, Hollis a fantastic cook! If you find yourself in the area on the first Saturday of the month, stop by and get breakfast. We drive the 140 mile round-trip on first Saturdays to get an absolutely delicious breakfast. My wife still has dreams about the biscuits and gravy. Overall, you will not be disappointed by choosing Farm Kitchen for a venue, or for breakfast. All we can say is, we loooove Anne and Hollis! read more

Myself as a matron of honor and wedding party are not happy with the service. Although the owner of farm kitchen had made a apology at the end to the bride and one of the bridesmaid, it was still a very unpleasant experience for us. If you want to have a breakfast there, go ahead,. but for wedding reception, please do not go there . Shop more places, I am very sure there are tons of places that can give you better service and atmosphere. First off, 100 % of the wedding parties and guests are driving from Seattle, it took probably 2 hrs to get to Poulsbos. It was super hot and sunny 80F in Seattle. In my mind, I didn't think about bride and groom would need to change their ceremony from Outdoor to indoor. However, when we got there around 2pm. it started raining. Owner Ann called me to see if we need to change plan. After meeting everyone, we decided it's better off doing this indoor instead, because of the dark sky. So we changed our plan. Guess what, she blamed us we didn't call around 12pm and "her staff are leaving in "9" minutes" her face was mad and sour. I couldn't believe she was so mad and looked at me like the most stupid person on earth. I apolgized and asked if my party can give her a hand in moving back those chairs. She refused and walked away in a very "bad' altitude. Bride sent another bridesmaid to her wanting to give her some tips money because the inconveneince we caused. However, she refused her our tips and " asked her to go away!!" We all couldn't believe what we heard. We paid them for the service and ended treated like this way. Not kidding... We all already stressed out with the preparation of the wedding. Can't believe she had no accomodation. She is mean! Not only that, she wasn't seem happy when our photo booth was blocking the doorway to the restroom and she was saying myself, wedding planner and bride didn't have full commuication with the floor plan. Instead of giving us another solution, she didn't look happy. That made us very indeed uncomfortable. Thinking their farm will have more beautiful views because of the occassion., but I didn't find anything impressive. It's just like a regular backyard. Again, she apologizd to the bride and my bridesmaid at the very end, but it doesn't matter. I think she needs to learn how to treat her customers first. Get some basic knowledge about what a good customer service is. Please check out other great wedding reception location if you can. Never return to this place! read more

My wife and I have had breakfast here several times, taken one cooking class and attended one fundraising dinner there, catered. We also went to the Farm Kitchen for a holiday meal event once. It is really excellent food, particularly the baked goods. The service during the breakfast is excellent, and there are are often local musicians playing. Though a little hard to find the first time, it's worth the trouble. If you go there, check out the gardens, which supply food and flowers to the kitchen. While I agree with the previous reviewer about the return call problem, this hasn't been our experience with Farm Kitchen in our contacts with them. read more

This was a lot of fun! Glad we finally got to try it! It is only once a month, so you have to mark your calendars!:) It was busy, but we got seated quickly and did not wait long for the food. It was yummy farm fresh food (eggs, biscuits, sausage, fruit)! It was a huge portion. Next time my hubby and I will share. If you do not want the main course, they offer seperate sides and fresh baked goods. We took the kids outside afterwards to visit the horses and look at the cows. My boyfriend and I are happy regulars at the Farm Kitchen Saturday breakfasts, where we meet a group of friends on the first Saturday of every month. The breakfast menu varies from eggs and sausage to french toast or pancakes. Each month has a different "featured" plate, with an assortment of sides (e.g. eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries) that you can order instead or in addition. The pastries are all made in-house and are really delicious - don't pass up the pecan rolls, if they are on the menu! so yummy!! The price for the featured breakfast is a bit on the steep side ($10.25), though portions are definitely ample. We like it mainly for the beautiful farm setting and the chance to catch up with friends, where we can spread out over big tables and sit as long as we like (the coffee refills are unlimited! :) ). Plus, the people who run it are friendly and nice, and they have two sweet horses who you can visit with after your breakfast. It's great to support a good local business! There is often a line to get in from the time they open at 8am until around 9am, but we usually get here a bit before 8 to avoid waiting too long in line and also snag a big table for our group. The service is quite efficient, so you won't be waiting long for food once you place an order. read more

We just had our wedding there on 8/27/16 and also rented out the house on the property for 4 days. It was amazing!!! Anne and Hollis are so wonderful to work with. Mostly you are working with Anne who is extremely organized which is very appreciated since we were planning the whole wedding from San Diego. The farm is gorgeous with grape vines, flowers, barns, so many beautiful places for photos. The tent they have set up for the wedding is so ROMANTIC with soft lights in it. Great dance floor. Everything about the event was so wonderful. Anne and Hollis thank you so so much for making it such a beautiful day for everyone. I cannot recommend this place enough!!! read more

The setting is perfect for breakfast, surrounded by gardens and greens and away from all the traffic its easy to strike a conversation with your someone or a stranger. Great for groups too, not matter the number GO EARLY. There will be a line unless you're the first one through the door, there is not a large staff and most have been up since very early in the morning so cut them a break! The food has been terrific each time, check their website in advance to see what your options are because even if you cant have the main entrée, their sides and baked goods are worth the trip! Wear layers because Poulsbo is chilly in the mornings and you can sit outside amongst the gardens and even the farm dog to enjoy your breakfast read more

My husband and I had our wedding here almost 2 years ago. The venue is absolutely spectacular. Many of our guests commented on its floral beauty and Tuscan charm. The owners were accommodating and considerate. We brought in an outside caterer that was suggested by Farm Kitchen. We couldn't have made a better choice. Our wedding was at Farm Kitchen and we could not be happier with our experience. Farm Kitchen is absolutely gorgeous and we didn't have a single guest who didn't compliment us on our venue. Even with all the weddings taking place at Farm Kitchen, the grounds were immaculate every time we visited and on our wedding day. Also, with attractive outdoor and indoor spaces, we never had to worry about being stuck in some ugly conference room in case of rain or about using portable toilets. There was also plenty of parking. Farm Kitchen was also our most professional vendor. The detailed information they gave us before we contracted addressed many of our questions right from the start and helped us in our planning. More importantly, we felt we knew exactly what to expect. When we did have questions, Ann, our main contact, always replied with prompt and thoughtful answers. For example, Ann suggested several alternatives to flowers for the flower girls. Looking back, I am glad we went with flower girl wands because it was so unique and fun for the girls. Farm Kitchen was also extremely flexible with us when, after signing our contract, we had to change our wedding date. Not only did they help us reschedule, they refunded us the full deposit for the guest house since it was no longer available on our date, even though the date change was our fault. Every interaction we had the staff was professional and yet still personal and always very positive. We especially appreciated working with Ann and you will not find a more professional, pleasant, and genuine vendor. Several times during our planning process we visited the Farm for first Saturday breakfasts and we were always treated warmly, allowed to ask questions, wander the grounds, and even sent home with little treats. The only caution we would give anyone considering Farm Kitchen (or any wedding vendor) is to read the contract first, ask any questions you have, definitely bring up any concerns, and then decide if the venue fits what you are trying to do. Also, decide if you like the management style. If you don't take these basic steps I don't think you can expect to have your wedding day go smoothly or to have a good experience with any vendor. Although, the venue is beautiful, the owners were not very accommodating at all. I was here for a friend's wedding in October 2011 (which was gorgeous by the way!). However, I have been in a lot of weddings and was very very disappointed in the service provided (or lack of). First, we arrived 10 minutes early (with the bride) for "check-in" on the freezing day of the wedding and the owners refused to let us in (not even the bride) until the clock stroke 3:30. A groomsmen also had to use the restroom but was refused entrance so he had to find somewhere with nature. Throughout the entire wedding day, I never once saw the owners or staff come up to the bride or MOB to check in or make sure they were happy/didn't need anything ALL DAY (maybe I was blind, but I don't think so). Every time I went for the sliders, they were out & people were waiting for a refill. Also, there was never a mention of last song, bar closing, etc. but instead everything ended at once & the owners started literally pushing guests out the door. Party ended on the dot, if not sooner, with no warning, which to me is a bit ridiculous for the money people spend on this special day and the service you would hope for. Overall, it was a beautiful venue for events but awful service- which to me is much more important than looks. Fortunately, my friends, the bride & everyone else had an amazing time together and no one complained (out loud). This is just me wanting to warn people because I think the owners need to rethink their view on "guest services" or hand it over to some nicer, more accommodating people. I got married at the Farm Kitchen last weekend and wanted to write a review so that other people considering getting married there would be able to take my experiences into consideration before making a commitment. First, the good. The grounds at the Farm Kitchen are beautiful. There are several places on the property that your ceremony can be held, all of which are lovely. There is plenty of parking, and the staff directs your guests as to where to go. While you are at the FK, you really get the feeling that you are out in the country, complete with horses and cows. The inside reception area is pretty nice, although the area for dancing is a bit small. One of the owners, Hollis, is very friendly and helpful. Now the bad. The other owner, Anne, will be in charge of most of the details surrounding your event. She comes across as very nice and accommodating the first time you meet her, but after you pay your deposit her demeanor totally changes. Two months after paying our deposit we were sent a contract that included all of the rules. There are SO many of them, and she failed to tell us about ANY of them before we paid our deposit. It really felt like the classic bait-and-switch, and if I would have seen the contract BEFORE paying the deposit I would have never wanted my wedding to be held at the Farm Kitchen. The bad: -if there are more than 8 (I think) children under the age of 12 at the wedding, you need to hire a nanny (although most children would just want to be with their parents). -they do not allow you to dance on the patio, which would be the ideal place for dancing. The inside dance area is quite small. They do not want you to have any alcohol served before the ceremony. We had several people coming from Seattle, and wanted to serve champagne and appetizers to give them all time to arrive before the ceremony. We finally agreed to let them allow it, but it was a major fight/ headache. -no flower petals or birdseed are allowed -you have to turn the music down most of the way around 9pm. This is normally when people just get started dancing and it is a considerable turn-off. Also, Anne cut our DJ off almost a full 3/4 hour before the agreed time. We had arranged for an extra hour for our event (at a very high price) however, the entire facility was empty a full hour before our allotted rental period was scheduled to end. Although the things I mentioned above were a major annoyance, what bothered us more than anything about the experience was the attitude of the Anne, the woman in charge. She was by far the most bossy and condescending person I have ever met, and the last person you want to have lurking around on your special day. I completely understand that they want things to go smoothly and don't want their lovely property to be treated with disrespect, but there is a way to make that clear without being totally mean. Anne brought me to the verge of tears multiple times throughout the year that I was dealing with her, and she really made me feel like she thought I was stupid and irresponsible just because my husband and I are fairly young. She was rude and condescending to me in front of my Mom, wedding planner, and caterer. Every time we spoke I felt like she was talking down to me and that she thought I was going mess everything up. I put a lot of time, effort, and love into the planning of my wedding and it really upset me that she acted as if all I wanted to do was get drunk and destroy her farm. I don't know why a person with such poor interpersonal skills is an a position that has her dealing with people on a daily basis. All in all, our wedding was lovely, but if I were to do it all over again I think I would have picked a different venue, only because I don't like paying a bunch of money for a person that makes me feel bad. The property is beautiful though, and Hollis (the other owner) is super nice. Just be aware of what you are getting yourself into and ask to see the contract/list of rules before paying the deposit. My wife and I got married at The Farm Kitchen this last weekend. Overall it was a fun experience, but I feel I should lay it all out there. First, the good: -The venue is beautiful, absolutely perfectly manicured, well maintained, and very relaxing and cozy feeling. I could not have asked for a better setting to tie the knot. -They have multiple locations for ceremonies, and they are all immaculate and beautiful. -The staff at the Farm Kitchen was on point, as far as setting up and moving chairs from one location to another. Everything looked perfect. -Hollis, one of the owners, is one of the nicest people I've ever talked to, and was a pleasure to deal with. -We stayed at the guest house on the property, and it really worked out. There was more than enough room for our guests, and it was a very relaxing place to be. Now, the bad: -They do not allow dancing on their outdoor patio, which is really the only ideal place for it, as it is very spacious and enjoyable to be outside. -They do not allow any sort of flower petals, rice or birdseed. (although this isn't a big deal, considering they have an amazing property to take care of.) -Anne, the other owner of the venue, was quite difficult to work with after our initial meeting. She kind of tempted us into booking the venue with her kind initial hospitality, so we paid the deposit and booked the place. About a month or two after paying the deposit, we were sent a contract to sign, which was riddled with nit-picky rules which were never previously mentioned. If you are thinking of booking the FK, be sure to ask about a contract up front, before anything else. For example: You are not allowed to serve champagne or any other alcoholic beverages before the ceremony. We had a lot of people coming from distances, and agreed with our caterer (she was on the approved list provided by the FK) to serve champagne along with lemonade punch (NA) as guests arrived. We ended up really having to fight to be able to do this, as Anne eventually agreed via email. However, when we got to our planning meeting a few months later, Anne appeared adamant on changing her mind, going back on her words, and refusing to allow us to serve refreshments. It took my wife being pushed to tears and our caterer to persuade Anne to back off. -Continuing on about Anne, she had our DJ turn down our music most of the way at 9 PM sharp. This just so happened to be the same time that most people were going in to enjoy the music and dance. She then completely shut down our music at 10 PM sharp. Also, we paid a considerable amount of money to add an extra hour onto our rental period, which gave us from 2:30 pm until 11:30 pm. With the music shut off at 10, the clean up crew just came in and started pushing us all out. After all is said and done we were forced out back to the guest house by 10:45 pm, which was a full 45 minutes shorter than what we had paid for. I also noticed from the guest house, that all the lights were off and the staff had left from the main venue by 11 pm. I feel a bit cheated out of time. Overall, my wife and I had a wonderful time the day of the ceremony, and Hollis and all the staff were wonderful. Just be mindful of Anne, as she can be very conniving, condescending and deceitful. My wife was pushed to tears more than a few times, as a result of Anne going back on her words. read more

My daughter and her husband were married here in July of 2012. It was a fabulous experience, both in the planning and on the day of the event. Ann and Hollis, the owners, are experienced, and have created guidelines that the bride and groom sign off on prior to the event. They specify that the bride needs to use a wedding coordinator, to make sure the day runs smoothly. That planner can be paid or a family member/friend, but this person is the 'go to' person for communication regarding the event. I have read criticisms by folks who didn't see the owners working with the bride and groom. That's by design. They want the bridal party to enjoy the day, and let others work through any possible issues. The owners have multiple meetings with the couple prior to the event, to make sure everyone is on the same page, and to think through the flow of the day. Our caterer was fabulous, and we still have friends and family that comment on what a special event the day was. We would highly recommend the Farm Kitchen for their beautiful facilities, and their expertise. We used their recommended vendors, who were all from our area, and they were all excellent. It made the planning process so much easier, making the ramp up to the wedding relaxing and fun, and the wedding day was stress free, focused on the wonderful couple. read more

This was a nice place to have our wedding. My husband and I as well as our guests loved the rustic feel of the place and it really was perfect for what we were looking for. I appreciated that they provided clear and specific information about what vendors were recommended and preferred (a long enough list that we were happy with our options). The owners were pleasant and accommodating when we asked to come by to look at the space a 2nd / 3rd time (with family members) and again when we went to drop stuff off before the wedding. read more

Each season brings new colors to the Farm Kitchen. A perfect setting for a country wedding from the lavender hedge to the apple orchard something is always in bloom. Quaint barns, wide open fields, romantic gardens all there for the bride and groom. I recommend the Farm Kitchen for memorable weddings. read more

I went to the Farm Kitchen for their monthly breakfast and after the the build up the experience was a bid disappointment. I have purchased their baked goods before and found them to be very good. I was ready for a line to get in, so that did not bother me. The location was great, and it was a warm day. We ordered and found our seat. And waited. And waited. While waiting I went back for several cups of coffee, only to then observe one of the employees bring a pot out to a neighboring table. I thought perhaps I had missed this as part of the service only to observe she was a friend of the party at this table and she was giving them this service, and it was not available to anyone else. I should also add that this table got their meal before us even though they arrived after us. When after a half hour when we finally got our food it was warm at best. And the taste was just okay. Overall, the whole experience was disappointing. The bake goods are wonderful, but they have a lot to learn about customer service and serving large breakfast. We will not be going back. read more

Farm Kitchen was the perfect venue for our September 2015 wedding. If you are looking for a place that captures the beauty of the Pacific Northwest in a magical outdoor setting - this is it! It is rustic with all of the amenities of a true event venue - the best of both worlds. The orchard, fields of flowers and tall cedar trees make this place a stunning backdrop for a summer celebration. The paved and tented patio is great for the reception. There is also an indoor dance floor, bathrooms, commercial kitchen and guest house where our wedding party stayed! Anne and Hollis were wonderful to work with, helpful but not overbearing. They were quick to offer up solutions to issues we had, flexible and easy to work with. They were very responsive to emails and made sure all went smoothly on the day of. They also did a great job of keeping the flowers and grounds looking gorgeous all through the hot and dry summer. Thank you for everything Anne and Hollis. We got married here in August 2012 and had a wonderful experience. The grounds are so lovely--we had to do very little decorating as the place is so beautiful as-is! The perfect blend of very natural but well maintained and manicured, with horses and beautiful flowers in the background of our pictures. This place is also a great value, with so many things included that other places really gouge you for. But by far the best part of Farm Kitchen is the proprietors. Anne and Hollis are so experienced, so helpful, with wonderful attention to detail to help you think of things that you would otherwise never have thought to take care of, so you can just relax on the day of your wedding. They were so warm and inviting, and even though this is such a popular place, they made us feel like we were the only people to ever get married there. I cannot recommend them and Farm Kitchen highly enough. Without question, this is the place!! read more
