Stopped along in route on a hiking trip. 2 of us couldn't decide so we split 2 meals... why not? More variety! Crab cakes were amazing. .hand made and large chunks of real crab...grilled squash and fried green tomatoes all good, BUT..the pimento cheese burger with fried pickles was off the chain good! So many more menu items I would love to try if only I lived in the area. The staff and owner very friendly, so service was great, it's obvious they care. If you're in the area it's a must. We drove the short drive from Chattanooga to try this place out, and wow, it is fantastic. The restaurant is bright and clean, the staff is over-the-top friendly and helpful, and the food has a taste and quality that will make you want to return. The tenderloin beef medallions (rare) are the best and the sides are fresh and flavorful. If you're traveling North or South on I-75, GPS this great place or if you're local, definitely give it a try. Oh my word, the food was absolutely delicious!! I started with the fried pickle appetizer. It was served as pickle spears, which you don't see often. I absolutely loved them. My husband even willingly tried them because they smelled so good, and he doesn't like pickles! (Sadly, they weren't able to change his mind). For dinner I had the crab cakes with baked mac & cheese and french fries. The crab cakes were so divine. They didn't have that over-seasoned taste that a lot of crab cakes can. You could tell that the fries were fresh cut. I wish the mac and cheese had been a little bit creamier, but it was pretty darn good. It was made with rotini noodles and I liked that. My husband had the beef medallions. I'm normally not a big beef eater, but I would order that and eat it happily. He also got the mac & cheese, but he got the green beans. Delicious! We ordered the dessert, which was peach cobbler. It was good but not great. I'd still eat it again! We discussed that we thought it would be better with a little more caramelization to it. After a terrible dinner experience we decided to give it one more try for breakfast. Bad idea. I ordered fried chicken and waffle. It took about 25 minutes and there were only 4 other tables in the whole restaurant. Waffle was of the ordinary kind and turned out to be the only thing I could eat. The chicken was chicken tenders. Not what I was expecting so I asked for honey mustard. 15 minutes later she brought me the sauce. Chicken was cold by then and had no taste. Completely bland. Seriously the chicken tenders at a fast food place tastes better than these. I also had a side of biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were hard and I don't know what it was they served as gravy. It tasted like water and flour with some sausage bits. Worst I've ever had. Looks like the made it with water instead of milk and put no salt or pepper or anything. They didn't charge for my meal but we won't be back again. The wife enjoyed her omelette. My advice. Save your time and money. Plenty of much better places to go! read more

We were traveling from Florida north and were excited to see a restaurant that used local ingredients. The location we were told has been open about a month, this morning they struggled with serving the dishes quickly and consistently. It took more than an hour from the time we were seated in a partially filled restaurant to the time we were able to pay. Side dishes did not come out with the meal and an English muffin delivered cold with no condiments. We spoke to the manager who offered veiled excuses as to the delays, "it takes time to cook the sausage, the onions in the omelette needed to be prepared, we only have one cook, we have a new system we are working through, and on and on.... "no real effort to fix any of the mentioned problems. An opportunity missed. Another frustration was the appearance of other patrons who were served and paid before we received our order, it begged the question of which item the "big barn door sandwich " or the two "brisket omelettes" required special attention? It may not have been an unusual order issue as we did witness an adjoining table have sausages delivered after they finished their meal. Another missed opportunity by the manager to make amends. The brisket omelette was good, although it was thickly covered with a cheese sauce. If given the chance to order again I would have asked for the sauce on the side or not at all. We wish Farm to Fork of Ringgold good luck in the future, with hopes they can listen to their patrons and make things right, without excuses. read more

We went with a group of 4 last night and the service was decent. Food was pretty good but took quite a while and 3/4 of the plates came wrong. I had the brisket at the recommendation of our server. It had some flavor but the texture and presentation were lacking. It reminded me of the roast beef the local hospital serves instead of brisket. The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were good. I don't recommend the brisket plate but it may be good on a pizza or sandwich. My wife had steak medallions but were cooked to well done instead medium like requested. We didn't send it back because it would have taken to long to recook. The other two plates had sour cream, tomatoes, and chives where asked to omit. The chocolate cake was very good. The rolls and cornbread muffins were pretty good. The band was on the opposite side of the wall but was still too loud for me. We'll go back but not soon. read more

First trip was awesome with veggies and amazing loaded grilled cheese. Returned for "Mexican night" and will not be back. Over priced for what we received. The service was fine and environment was also nice however; for 2 people for $30 I'd like to be able to say i enjoyed my food. My husband and I ordered enchiladas with black beans. The sauce was terribly bitter. The black beans were ok. The guacamole appetizer didn't come with chips apparently and we had to order them separately. The mexi corn (one ear or corn) was very good but $4.50 for one ear... I also had a strawberry margarita that I'm hoping had something wrong with the mix, bottom line I should have sent that back. Food was good enough, and my waiter was considerate and did a great job. But...they had two people working in the middle of a lunch rush. It wasn't clear if I should seat myself, so I had to hunt around for someone to instruct me. And it took almost 25 minutes to get my meal-- which I had to get To Go, since I no longer had time to eat there. The food was good, but my steak was well done, not medium rare, which after everything was irritating. We picked up dinner to go on our Friday date night. Ordered "the special" red snapper with Thai chili sauce sauteed vegetables and rice. Stuck in the corner of a strip mall and flanked on both sides by a community church, we weren't sure what we were going to get. However, the décor was quaint and homey and the people were friendly and personable, from our server, Lindsey, to the owner who stopped by and chatted for a bit. We ordered the bacon dusted tater tots with pimento cheese for an appetizer and it was delicious. A generous portion of both tots, fried to perfection, and pimento cheese with the right amount of zing. We could have stopped there and been satisfied! I ordered the flat iron steak, medium, and it was cooked just right and was as tender as any filet I've ever had. The mac and cheese was big penne noodles with super creamy, cheesy sauce. Husband had the meat loaf special and said it was juicy and flavorful. He had the fried green tomatoes which were crunchy outside and just right inside. Lindsey told us the tomatoes had just been picked the day before. I hope this place stays around; we were in town today to look at RVs, but would drive the 80 miles again just to eat at Farm to Fork! read more

This is my third visit in six months. My first meal here was very good and the service fine. Today I waited too long for a meal that was decidedly sub-par. The meatloaf and pimento cheese sandwich was a lunch special but dry as a West Texas bone and copious catsup couldn't render swallowable . My wife's panini was prepared with rubbery, under-cooked bacon and mostly inedible. Perfunctory apologies by several waitstaff as i tried to find someone to refill my tea glass helped me to make up my mind. I won't be back. read more

Wow! If it weren't for Yelp, we would have missed this place. The food was absolutely delicious, and I don't make that claim lightly. The medallion beef was so tender and cooked perfectly. The squash casserole was original and delicious. That hamburger was one of the best Rob had ever had. The waitress was friendly and professional. The decor is nothing to write home about, but when you are paying attention to good food, that's hardly worth mentioning. The Dining Divas went to lunch today at Farm to Fork in Ringgold Ga. There were 12 of us and because we had a reservation, we were seated immediately. Our server, Danny, was terrific! He cited the specials of the day as if they were on the menu everyday. We could not have asked for a better server. He brought hot rolls and cornbread, and kept everything on the table filled. He talked to the chef about a seafood allergy one of us had and reported back right away. He is a great asset to this establishment. The atmosphere is light and comfortable, very relaxing, with a full bar and patio seating. The menu is clear and easy to understand. The strawberry salad with spinach (you can get shrimp or chicken on it also) and homemade dressings were delicious, as well all the other entrees, (there are too many to mention but everything we ordered was very tasty). All dressings and dipping sauces are homemade and one of a kind. Everything is truly farm fresh from local providers and even from the owners personal garden. Nothing is ever frozen nor canned. All meals are cooked to order fresh,as do not expect a "fast food" time line. But I assure you, it is worth waiting on. They also have live entertainment in the evenings and on the weekend. We rated our visit a 5 out of 5, with not one negative opinion at all. If you have not been to Farm to Fork, do yourself a favor and go. You will not be disappointed. If this restaurant was in Hixson TN, I would never cook. read more

We came here due to the somewhat high reviews. Needless to say, our visit here was OUTSTANDING!!! We ordered the rib eye steak w/the vegetable medley and fries. The steak was cooked medium and we also had a salad. The steak was cooked excellent. There's a hint of wood taste due to it being cooked over a wood fire. There was no need for ketchup or steak sauce that was brought to our table. It was seasoned perfectly. Really good locally owned restaurant. Varied menu & the food is fresh and tasty and everything we've tried has been good. The fried green tomatoes are tangy and delicately breaded, the burgers are excellent, chicken fried chicken is tender and generously portioned. Salads are fresh and hearty. The dinner entrees are usually big enough for my wife and I to share one & still go home satisfied. The prices are a little higher than other area "meat and 3" places but the food is also a cut above. Atmosphere is pleasant considering the strip mall locale. If you're looking for good American cuisine and want better than the same old chain restaurants, this is a great choice - glad to have places like this in our area! read more

We went here on a Sunday right after church. I had high expectations, but we were a little let down by the portion size (not a lot of meat) and definitely let down by the slow service. My family eats here often. We were introduced to Farm to Fork when we first moved to Ringgold. The staff is always warm and friendly. We never leave with taking home an order of the fried pickles. I don't personally love them, but my spouse is crazy about them. I love going there for a quiet family dinner when I don't feel like cooking. The food has always been very good. read more

Extremely slow service. We've been seated for an hour. We ordered our food 45 mins ago. No food still. The management seems to be poor at best. No manager has come out to explain the slow service or try to smooth it over. All 3 tables around us are experiencing the same scenario. The waitress came out at 50 mins in and said that my burger was the problem. I could hardly believe it. I picked the easiest thing on the menu. Luckily the wife's food was ready and she is eating while I continue to wait. The waitress ended up offering a dessert for our wait. Good on her. Although I would have expected that from the manager. No doubt I will ensure that our waitress still gets her full 20% tip. She was nice and apologetic. What else could she do for the manager and kitchen? read more

I might rate this 4.5 based on the overall quality of restaurants in this specific area. This is easily the best restaurant out of the local options in Ringgold, La Fayette, and Ft. Oglethorpe. I only found this place through a Google search, or I would have never known it existed. The location is a bit strange, and I don't love the name. I'd agree with others that the decor is minimal, but it is still very tasteful. My only complaint really about decor has more to do with noise suppression - it's very open and sounds carry easily. I was with a group of four and we were having a great time, but at points I felt like we were bothering other customers just laughing and chatting as we normally would. I would highly encourage the owners to consider adding some things to the walls to allow the diners a little more privacy during their meals. This restaurant has a very simple menu, but don't be fooled. The quality and preparation of ingredients are top notch. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. One of our party received the wrong thing, however, though he ate it anyway and thought it was great. The service was excellent. All in all it was a fantastic experience and we will certainly be going back. It's in a great location for meeting people traveling up the highway as well, though it's not super obvious at first where it is (behind the old Mexican place and Cracker Barrel). We went on a Friday night, around 7:30 pm and while it wasn't crowded, there was a steady flow of diners coming in and out. When I called farm to fork they told me my order would be ready in 25-30 minutes. After 8 minutes they called me and said your order is ready. Luckily I was staying really close so I was already there. I went it and got my food the hostess was friendly . I get back to my room not even two minutes away and my food was so cold! I called and told them my food was cold and I'd be bringing it back. I asked for the same thing fresh and hot. One waiter said how long was the food here before she came in? About five minutes later the hostess comes up to me and said your order is going to take a while the kitchen is backed up. It only tool 22 minutes to get my food. Thank god it was hot. The veggies were undercooked and has no flavor and the cabbage tastes like dirt. I really wanted to like this place. read more

I am always looking for Mom and Pop local restaurants to go to when I travel for work. I passed by this place and just the name caught my eye. Farm to Fork sounded so fresh. I go in and was seated right away (easy because I was only a party of one). My waiter, Marcus, was super nice and asked if it was my first time here. I told him yes and then he proceeded to tell me they get their veggies and meat from local areas and they grill on a wood fire grill. He let me know that there could be a little wait with my food because of the wood fire grill. He also said they have a certified chef in the back. Cornbread muffins and rolls were offered while i wait. I ordered the Grilled shrimp tacos with grilled squash as a side. It came out in about 5 minutes and it was SOOO GOOD!!!! When I tell you I could taste the freshness and wood grill flavor, I am not lying. Definitely recommend this place and I will be coming back if I am in the area. If there were more than 5 stars i would give that! read more

Farm to Fork: 1. The name is not very catchy or memorable. 2. The location is not that easy to find the first time. 3. More than likely, if you are hungry you may choose to just stop at the Cracker Barrel in Ringgold which you will pass on your way to the Farm to Fork. 4. Once you locate it, you will see a specials board at the entryway. It looks like a new store front. 5. You enter and may be instructed to seat yourself anywhere you choose. 6. The first thing you will note is the extreme "bare bones" decor. You may mentally redecorate the space to add ambience. You will also make note of the clean sparse look. Keep in mind it is really just the food that this restaurant cares about. THE FOOD! 7. The food is fresh, properly cooked and seasoned, served in generous portions. The veggies are seasonal. More than likely, you will be ordering your dessert to go since you will be a little more than comfortably full. The desserts are outstanding and large. The food is healthy, filling and satisfying. It makes me hungry just remembering the experiences there. 8. To me, the prices seem a bit hefty at first glance but justified when it is over. In summary, it really is the food, not the decor, not the fast service, and it is different, not a chain. If the Farm to Fork had more ambience, I would give them five stars. Almost did anyway. Found this place on Yelp and stopped on our long drive to Florida. It was great! I recommend the pimento burger or the steak philly...both were tasty! Every time I have been here, the service is bad. The wait staff is nice enough, but they don't do their jobs well. The wait is always an hour or two for food that is only average. They always mess up orders, too, so after a long wait, you have to send food back. I've never had a good experience here and have been many times. read more
