So, I saw there's a two-star review at the bottom, and she said the place is bad, but I have to disagree. Farmer Boy has no delusions of grandeur. It knows exactly what it is, and it doesn't try to be something it isn't. You want some eggs, bacon and pancakes at 7:30 PM? You got it. You like fried fish? They've got all you can eat fish on Wednesdays and Fridays. Classic, diner-style grub at affordable prices. The hot dogs are like 3 bucks each, but they come in an awesome split-top bun and they're all-beef, so they're really good. Burgers are pre-made frozen patties, but they cook up nicely on the griddle and give you that burger satisfaction. Everything comes with fries, pretty much, which is cool. I've been eating here for several years, and they're still using the same busted-up menus, which is oddly comforting in a way. They have pie, too, but I've never tried it. I heard it's good. Staff is always pleasant and accommodating. It's your typical diner situation, really. A lot of old people seem to frequent the place, but they keep to themselves so don't be put off by them. Really it's everything you could want from an informal sit-down restaurant, akin to a Denny's without the shame of going to a Denny's. A small local diner with really inexpensive dishes that hit the spot. It is not gourmet, but it is good. I think it is one of the best burgers around, personally, and I love their bacon. If your wallet is low on funds, you can definitely still eat out here and not break the bank, even with a large group. read more

I came here for a good, cheap breakfast and that's exactly what I got. The place is always packed, in the morning especially, when I drive by so I figured these people were on to something. It's not fancy by any means and I'd say the place hasn't been redecorated for a few years but appearance tells me nothing about food. The menu is quite extensive - a lot of "down home country" choices is how I'd describe it. I came at lunch time but for breakfast because its available all day. I went for the Hillbilly breakfast which was a ton of food for the price! $6.99 for 2 eggs, 4 pieces of bacon, hash browns, toast and three "silver dollar" pancakes(looked about regular size to me)! Dang! Everything tasted good. I was impressed. Service was prompt and courteous. I definitely will return. It's the perfect American breakfast in a traditional American town! Great portion size, great food, and great options. It's a perfect mom and pop type restaurant! Best diner in town! They have all day breakfast and it's delicious. I recommend the omelets. They are huge! The Farmer Boy Breakfast is also a great option. You won't leave here hungry. The staff is wonderful too! My grandpa and I eat here eveerytime he comes to town. They don't have chocolate chips so if you want them in your pancakes, you'll have to bring your own. read more

WORST RESTAURANT EVER! Very basic food with ok prices. Horrible customer service. Bill, believed to be the manager, was rude as soon as we got in, then sat us at a dirty table. When we asked for the table to be cleaned he tried to fight with us and tell us the table was already clean, it wasn't there was still someone's dirty mess on the table. Overall a bad place to go to. Went there and it was about 6:30 pm there was many people walking around and a man wrapping silverware and then no one come to seat us. We weren't the only one waiting to be seated. When we arrived, we waited about 10 minutes to be seated while 3 waitresses discussed who had stolen some jelly. They were looking right at us, but were more interested in the missing jelly than us. Our food was good, but our order wasn't right. read more

December 4, 2016. We were seated at the first booth right inside the door. We were handed menus over the partition. A few minutes later the server walked past us , then backed up and said that we had slipped in on her. She took our drink order when she returned she took our food order. Ok so far. We both ordered soup and two dinners. The server loaded up the food for two tables. She delivered the food to the table across from us. Initially she tried giving our food to them. Then she brought our dinners. Asked us if we needed anything else. We said yes- the soup. Oppsss sorry. She brought two cups of soup that was over filled and spilled onto the sides of the cup. The people who were served our food asked her for their rolls. Then we were brought our rolls. Opposss-sorry. I got the meatloaf. It seemed to be factory made. The gravy was tasteless. Our server never smiled. Actually she seemed to have several problems that caused her to not be all there. My problem with this place is that it seems to night and day from supper to breakfast. We have been there for breakfast twice and we got the nicest servers and the food was brought out as it was suppose to. Breakfast is 5 stars. Supper is 1 star. read more

nothing extra here, just some pretty good home made-style food. Nothing fancy but prices are CHEAP! and you get lots of food. Soup and salad come with most meals and you only pay about $7-9 for a whole dinner. Also breakfast served all day! Places like this are a dying breed. Let me start off by saying we use to eat at Farmer Boy approx 3 - 4 times a month. It has been a few months since we stopped by until today. The reason it had been a month or so is because our last couple of meals have not been very good. I ordered the Salmon (almost $10) and my husband breakfast. The salmon was suppose to come with lemon butter. All I got was a small lemon wedge and WAY OVER COOKED SALMON! The salmon was so dry I couldn't even pick ast half of it. Meal also came with potatoes of my choice (mashed or fried - no baked until 4pm). I told waitress no gravy but I still got gravy on potatoes. I mentioned the issues to the waitress. She said "I am sorry" and walked off. By The Way - hubby loved his breakfast - eggs, french toast, bacon, sausage links (even though he ordered no bacon and did order sausage patties), english muffin, etc.. When we went up to pay we were asked if everything was okay and we attempted to mention the issue with the salmon but the male cashier did not even start to listen to us. Not sure what has changed at this place but I am really not happy. I really do not think we will go back to Farmer Boy for quite a long time if ever again. I really would have to say - Maybe the person who runs this place should call / email RESTAURANT IMPOSSIBLE to see if they can help before this restaurant goes any further down hill. We really would hate to see it close! Nice people and a place that has been around for years. Would be sad if business got too much worse. I literally created an account just to give this place a bad rep. Several years ago this restaurant was on the mediocre, cheap, fast breakfast level. Now however, it is on the poorly managed, dumpy, overpriced, takes forever to get bad food, always gets the wrong orders, has PAINT chips in your water, and hasn't the ability to properly split a check level. I hope this review protects those sanity that would be tainted by visiting this place. read more

We no longer go due to the owners being rude. I parked in the handicap spot and forgot to put my plac up. The man owner came up to me and said he only had a couple of spaces, could I move my car. I told him I had a plac and went out and put it on my mirror. Another time, we went in for all you can eat fish. I did not order a second helping as I could not eat what I had. I asked for a to go box and the woman came to me and said I could not take it home. She then proceeded to tell me if they could not let everyone take the fish home. The service is usually slow and sometimes the waitress is rude. There are other places in Wooster that are patron friendly. read more
