Had the Farmers Skillet with a Pepsi, Karin (Wife) went with a Vegetarian Omelette since it doesnt have any Pork products in it with a O (Which I stole some drinks out of lol) The OJ was pretty good- the Farmers Skillet was Real good, and would love it if this place had expanded in the Tacoma/Puyallup area! Driving from AZ to CA we planned to make the requisite stop in Indio for lunch. I'm so glad that Yelp reviewers recommended Farmer Boys which turned out to be Much better than the typical fast food stop. It was easy to find and not too far off the freeway. The menu is on the wall, you order at the counter and they bring it to you. Check in on Yelp and get a free beverage as well. The food was fresh and delicious! They use locally sourced ingredients too. He loved the Farmer's Burger and my Harvest Salad was awesome. The prices were decent. It was busy but there was always someone circulating to refill drinks and clean the tables. Their breakfast menu looked really good too! They're a little pricey, but I always leave satisfied. However, I don't think of this place as a "burger place". My husband is a burger lover and always leaves dissatisfied. We love this place! It is clean, the food is good, the prices are good, the staff is exceptionally friendly and provides terrific service. The burgers are pretty good but not great, but we come for the fried zucchini - out of this world. We also had the chili fries the other day on one of many return visits since we moved here 6 weeks ago, and while I usually do not care for chili fries, these were delicious! The fries are perfectly crispy, and the chili is just enough as to not be overwhelming or goopy. Last time, I had the grilled chicken sandwich - the chicken was dry and tasteless but the bun was whole wheat and very good and I just added some extra condiments to help out that dry chicken. For what it cost for 4 meals I was dissatisfied with the quality of the food served. The soft drinks were watered down, the fried zucchini and onion rings were soggy, the guacamole was brownish, etc. I've had farmer boys in northern ca and the quality was great. Let me start by stating the food is very good, but who ever manages this place needs to be replaced. I tried calling in an order and after waiting 10 minutes tried calling on another phone. I was hung up on after 30 seconds. I assumed they maybe this Farmer Boys was exceptionally busy. So, I drove over and there's not even a line in front of the register. Okay so my mom is always raving about this place. This is her go to place and her always place! I never wanted to admit to her that it also is one of my fav places. Now if you haven't tried this place I'll give you some reasons you should try this place out. The food. The food is always fresh. They cook to order so don't get mad when your food is taking a little longer than you think it should. My mom has tried a lot of the food on the menu. Like i think she has tried almost everything. She is a picky eater and she NEVER complains about the food. They simply do "fast food" right. It's simple, tasty, and it's fresh. The service. The people who work here are kind and they are always ready to serve you. They know my mom by name and they are there to make her food the way she wants it(she's a picky eater remember). They are always on the go and they never looked bored. The prices and inside. The prices are decent and a little more than a typical fast food restaurant but I almost have to consider this place not fast food because it's better quality. Inside is a nice place to sit and eat. It's always clean and there is plenty of seats to sit. If you haven't been I say give it a go. My wife and I had business at the courthouse in Indio and by the time we were through it was getting pretty late. Del Taco is right across the street, and that is where most jurors catch something to eat when they're on a break, but we weren't on a jury and wanted something better. I had seen Farmer Boy's on an earlier trip and decided to check it out. It's a small franchise outfit based in Riverside - kind of an upscale burger joint, with more variety than In-N-Out but less than Goody's. They also have a bunch of breakfast choices, salads, fish & fries, and like that. I saw pastrami on the menu board and decided on that; my wife got the Sourdough Chicken Avocado sandwich. It had bacon on it too, and she said it was even better with the house barbecue sauce. My pastrami was of good quality, served up on a garlic ciabatta roll with enough pastrami that it kept falling out the sides of the roll. I quite liked it. This place is located on one of the busiest intersections in Indio, Highway 111 and Monroe. If you're in the area, you might want to try it. read more

Everything is good! For the price you pay it's bette than going to McDonald's or any other fast food joint. They are a bit slow at the drive thru they could definitely move the traffic up front and wait for our food, because the line backs up onto the street and parking lot. Farmer boys remains one of my favorite restaurants in the whole of Coachella valley, but what's even more important is that there are two employees who go above and beyond the call of duty every time they are working! Their names are Karen and Brianna, and they really deserve to be recognized for their excellent service and continuing smiles, even in the face of this frightening virus that's overtaken the country. It's very clear that they care a great deal about their company and the services they provide to customers and this restaurant is extremely lucky to have these two gals working for them. Drove by Farmers Boys and had to stop and see what was cooking, it smelled so good. I was pleasantly surprised when I read the menu, all fresh, never frozen, no antibiotics in their beef, which I haven't eaten in 6 months. I had to try their Avocado and Bacon Burger. Since I have a special diet, I was impressed they made it to order for me and it was the MOST DELICIOUS BURGER I've ever eaten. The employees were so pleasant and caring, the place was clean and smelled so good. Best onion rings ever! Bathrooms were clean, if I could give them 10 stars I would. I brought my husband their for dinner the same evening, I had to share this wonderful experience with him. He loved it...They deserve it and I will be back. During the time I was required to be in Indio, I visited Farmer Boys three times for lunch and drove the Drive-Thru once with a visitor who wanted to give this location a try. My first visit involved a Cobb Wrap, which was absolutely delicious. It was so generous I had the second half for dinner. Second visit was a hot dog accompanied by fries. The hot dog was the worst I have ever had (including Frickleburgers.). It came with NOTHING. Server asked if I wanted mustard. Yeah and some relish also. Relish seemed to be a problem, but I finally received a large portion. Amazingly, the hot dog was absolutely cold. I believe it was taken from the refrigerator and put in the huge, not so fresh bun having never come close to any heating element. It was terrible. Fries were unexciting. Went back once more for fish and chips and that was just O.K., not great. For our Drive-Thru experience we took home a Cobb Salad, fried zucchini and onion rings which were all good. I find the service in the restaurant very slow. You get drink re-fills promptly if a server happens to notice you A really unpleasant problem which seems to be particularly common in Indio is that large families meet and congregate in the restaurant and have no consideration of the other patrons. They yell at each other, laugh raucously and let their children run and play, heedless that they are a disturbance. What the Hell, "Deal with it," is the attitude. There was quite a bit of that in Farmer Boys. Hoping I will not have to return to putting time in at Indio, I will probably never return to Farmer Boys. read more
