My wife and I stopped at the restaurant before an Angels game. We know it is fast food, but that is OK before a baseball game. We had planned to order a Big Cheese Burger and add fries or onion rings and a drink (their "make it a combo" offering). The person taking our order suggested the Big Cheese Combo Box instead. Although we could not substitute onion rings for the fries, we agreed that the onion rings were not worth the price difference ($14.69 vs. $9.99). He did not have to suggest the change, but we were glad he did. Now, on to the food. The burger was very good--freshly made with diced onions, lettuce, and the usual toppings. I noticed that others have commented on soggy fries, but ours were crispy and hot, just the way we like them. They also bring your order to the table, which is a nice touch for a restaurant like this. The one negative was that several tables were dirty, so we had to search for a clean one. We will be back on our way to another ball game. Hopefully, there will be fewer dirty tables next time we visit. read more

We hadn't been here in over two years, and we thought it would be nice to give Farmer Boys another try. Unfortunately, I was very wrong. If anything, our experience was even worse than it was before. From the moment we arrived, there were issues. I asked to use the restroom, and the employee refused to give me the code and instead entered it for me. Since when did Farmer Boys start locking the restrooms? Our bill was over $60 for four meals, which would be understandable if the experience and food had been worth it. Unfortunately, my kids received bags of fries that were only half full. There were no napkins on the tables, condiment containers and other items had simply been left out by employees, and the tables still had empty ketchup bottles sitting on them. To make matters worse, our table was sticky and clearly had not been properly cleaned. What really stood out, though, was the attitude of the employees. They were rude, unfriendly, and seemed completely uninterested in providing even basic customer service. Whatever happened to the old Farmer Boys standards and customer service? We used to have a completely different experience, which is why we decided to come back after more than two years. Sadly, after tonight, we will NEVER be back. There are far too many other options in Orange that provide better food, cleanliness, and customer service. I visited this location on two occasions. The first time I ordered a couple of chicken sandwiches. The second time I ordered 3 batches of chili cheese fries. The chicken sandwiches had very good flavor but the chicken patty itself was a very small portion! It filled maybe 75% of the bun. The chili cheese fries had okay flavor. The fries were hot and crispy but there was hardly any chili and cheese on any of the three orders that I purchased. For the money spent there should have been more offered. I visited places like Omega or Victory Dinner and can get plenty of chili cheese fries that's feeds 2-3 people for the price that I paid here for 1 order! Farmer Boys is franchise owned so I don't know if it's just this location that's is being stingy with the servings for the hefty prices, but I know For Sure that I will NEVER return to this business. I've been to Farmer Boys once before a few years ago and I remember it being really good, so I was excited to get it again when I was in town. Sadly, it wasn't as good as I remembered it. I got the Natural Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger with no sauce on it. I was disappointed that there was only one piece of bacon on it. I could tell it was a piece of bacon that was sitting out for a while because it was chewy, but it had the look that it was once nice and crispy. The burger patty itself was pretty good and I liked the avocado, though it was a bit bland, and the lettuce was fresh with a nice crunch to it. The burger comes on a quality brioche bun, so that definitely gave it a better overall flavor. Maybe they just had an off day, but I'm sad that it wasn't as good as my first time eating there. Ingredients are fresh (other than the bacon), so I would be willing to give it another go in the future. read more

Always enjoy their Breakfast Box deals first thing in the morning. I get the sandwich box deal, as it's very fresh, the cheese is melted nicely and it has bacon and a delicious folded egg scramble making it a tasty breakfast meal. The French toast sticks included are equal to a slice of Texas toast but fried into 3 strips to dip in syrup. Very crunchy and warm! And the breading on the outside is a cinnamon sugar deliciousness!! It comes with a beverage too, as I always enjoy the milk bcz it's a hefty 12 oz cup and it's so cold and refreshing bcz the milk is poured from a machine-not served in a tiny container like you'd get at most eating establishments. Great food and service. We go to the Farmer Boys in Orange often. I had another great experience just last night. First off the young lady on the order intercom was upbeat and had the clearest voice I've heard in years on a intercom. Very nice way to start your order. Once at the window she and the rest of the crew was pleasant and working hard. I ordered a Natural bacon and avocado burger (my favorite) and always crisp fries and a chicken Cobb salad (our favorite Cobb Salad!). Everything was perfect. Burger was hot. I visited this restaurant on 7/19/2025 around 9pm. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to the service. The staff member who helped me seemed very unhappy to be there--she didn't smile, didn't greet me properly, and came across as quite rude when I asked a basic question about the menu. Asked for her name and she said it was Lily as noted on the receipt. Also, one of the lady cooks just stood there staring at me while I was ordering it really made the whole visit feel unwelcoming and uncomfortable. Your points add up for discounts and free food. The food was fresh and hot with fresh toppings. Top-quality slices of tomatoes and crisp lettuce with chopped onions. Many other fast-food restaurants tend to have low-quality produce for their burgers. This location had high-quality and fresh buns. You can taste the freshness.
