Stopped into this farmer boys on my way back to LA. Food was good, as always, but it took forever to receive our meal. My friend pointed out that the chef wasn't wearing his mask at all, his mouth and nose were both exposed while he was preparing everyone's food. I told one of the ladies working there, who looked like she was annoyed that I had said anything, and said she'd tell him, but probably didn't considering no staff there said anything to him already. I like the salads at Farmer Boys. They use fresh ingredients, with good quality lettuce and the tomatoes are always ripe. We don't have one convenient to where we live in Los Angeles (the closest ones are 1/2 hour to 45 minutes away), so we take the opportunity when we can to visit. The meals are not cheap but the food is good. We visited this location a week ago and on top of what I ordered, they let me sample the chili. It was very good - I think I'll have to try a bowl of chili next time! Even though they were busy, the wait time wasn't long. read more

The food was good, as expected for for burgers and fries. The zucchini fries were excellent! 3 stars for slow service and the awful bell. I guess it's a part of their "charm" but we were sitting right next to it and did not know about it when we sat and it was really loud and jarring. Visited this location twice while going into Sequoia National Park and then again going out of it. Both times were just as I expected being regular Farmer Boys customers in the Los Angeles area. Every location is overall the same. Food quality is good. The consistency is good. Prices can vary, but they are always pretty close in range. My favorite thing to order is the ABC BURGER (Avocado/Bacon/Cheese) with a side of ZUCCHINI. My husband loves the FARMER BURGER and the CHICKEN BBQ RANCH SALAD. I love the fried zucchini with the homemade ranch but on occasion I have been served bad zucchini. They have a huge burger with avocado that I really like but can't finish so you might want to skip that unless you have a really big appetite. I ended up wasting about 1/3 of the burger because I couldn't finish it and it does not hold up well, plus it's kind of expensive. I'm giving 3 stars because the drive-thru wait is SO LONG.. even if there is no one ahead of you and all you order is the fried zucchini the wait time is ridiculous so I can't even imagine how long an actual meal would take. read more

I always like farmer boys but this one wasn't that great. One, the outside and some of the inside smelled like pee. Kind of like what it smells like when you walk down skid row. Second, the person taking our order was slightly rude. Third, the chicken strips looked like they were half eaten. Fourth, I had a bad stomachache after I ate the patty melt. I've never been to a Farmer's Boys before, as they are not located in the Bay Area; so when I was in Tulare, I figured that I should give them a try. From my initial observation of checking out their menu, I thought their prices were high for a fast food chain. It's awesome that they have a breakfast menu, but I was in the mood to try out their burgers on my lunch break. I ordered their "Farmer's Burger" combo; which contains two 1/4 Lb Beef Patties, Seeded Bun, Bacon, Thousand Island Dressing, Sliced, Onion, Lettuce & Tomato, Dill Pickles, American Cheese and Avocado. The burger wasn't that big, but it was tasty. They do load you up with their side of fries, which was very good! Overall I enjoyed them, but their prices were too high. For the prices and quality that you pay for a burger combo at Five Guys or The Habit, they're both a better deal than Farmer's Boys. If they ever expand their chain to the Bay Area, I would dine at them again, but their high prices would prevent me from coming here often. read more

We've eaten here 3 times in the last two years as we travel from Orange County to Sonora. The servers are friendly, food is good, facilities are clean and it feels like a safe area. We usually get a burger, but the chicken sandwich is good also. The fries have always been crispy, which is great! I love Farmer Boys food but they can't make an over-medium egg for the life of them! Who ever heard of a cook that can't fry eggs? We usually eat there in the evenings and lately they've decided not to turn on their heater on. The first time I asked one of the workers if they would turn on the heater because it was freezing. She said let me go ask. She came back and said they told her they didn't have a heater! I said " you must be kidding, I think someone is lying to you". She walked off and giggled and said 'they probably are.' Another worker said they aren't allowed to turn it on. We tried again tonight and it was cold again! Yikes! This place is yuck. The food is not good and it's way over priced. I ordered Zucchini sticks and tried one on the way home. It was so bland and the ranch didn't help. I was desperate for some salt or seasoning. I didn't end up eating the rest. I also ordered a Cobb salad thinking it might be better but even for a $12 salad, it wasn't much better at all. It was Super bland, nothing to it and they didn't even add the hardboiled eggs that are shown in the picture.
