So freakin good! Went for brunch yesterday and got the salmon bagel & Arnold palmer. One of the best renditions of Lox I've ever had. Sometimes there can be too much salmon but this was perfect. We stayed across the street in a hotel and needed a jolt to begin our day of walking freaking everywhere. This hit the spot. We got 4 different lattes and one our group even told the barista that she loved her some Starbucks which is probably a no no among true coffee conessuiours. He laughed however and told her he'd make some better for cheaper. It was refreshing to find that attitude. Their breakfast/lunch menu looked great although we didn't try anything. My soy latte was spot on and their array of different sugars was mesmerizing. I will definitely hit them up next time I am in St. Augustine. I think my medium/grande latte was around 4$ which isn't cheap but I'm used to paying that at Starbucks. Only negative was they were farther from the Downtown/Historic district which is where we normally stay and eat. Awesome coffee served by in pretentious baristas. Yum! read more

City Coffee remains my favorite place to hang in St Augustine. I like the local roasts, the inventive specials on the lunch menu, and the fact that they keep this place REALLY clean. I especially like the friendly greeting and the tips I get on especially yummy pastries. A great place to spend an hour with coffee, food, and a laptop. read more

Great place for Coffee AND Food. They were very accommodating allowing us to recreate the breakfast wraps into a better-for-you creation. I enjoy egg as my animal protein but not pork. The food is very overpriced, we paid 46$ for two coffees an orange juice and two breakfast dishes of two eggs, potatoes, bacon and toast. The potatoes were very salty, the food took a long time to make with an empty restaurant. Their food is served in cardboard boxes with cheap plastic silverware not like their attractive photos online. If they are going to charge those prices you should be able to at least get silverware. Their sign says beer and wine so you think mimosas but they don't carry beer or wine. Definitely underwhelmed, hopefully they can improve their food or they just need to be a coffee shop as that was the only think good. read more

BLT had no mayo and was slapped together with 2 slices of bacon, lettuce and minimal tomato -- sandwich was all bread, and potatoes were cold. Not going back. Service was horrible too. Everything TOP NOTCH!! I left the restaurant about 30 mins ago and I cannot stop thinking about this gold mine. I have never wanted to buy a business and it's ideas so badly. When we walked in and started reading the menu, we were greeted by a friendly member of the staff. He gave us ideas and guided us through the ordering experience. Once at the front counter we were greeted by a lady that not only made us laugh but made us feel at home. We sat outside, every table was clean, floors were clean and cafe con leche was ON POINT. VERY soon after we sat we were delivered 2 breakfast burritos 1 was a chorizo burrito and 1 a breakfast burrito. BOTH equally delicious. They were served very neatly wrapped, cut in half and on a cutting board with little extras like jalapenos and such to add to it as well as salsa in a tiny cup. I must say between the food experience and the politeness and efficiency of your staff we have not been to a better restaurant in st. Augustine. The food was delicious and made fresh to order. The menu is mostly sandwiches and breakfast bowls, but even with a slightly smaller menu everyone can find something they like. They had no coffee except a little of the light brew which I don't like but had to drink because they had already sold me my coffee. Just ok, had a bagel sandwich that said it had spicy jam on it .... not spicy. Iced tea was stale. Was given a free muffin instead of a refund on the drinks which would've been fine but the muffin was like dust ... dry is an understatement. I wish they were open in the evenings when I am looking for a nice, casual dining place to meet up with friends or get something that's relatively quick, but not fast food. Prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. This place is worth driving to. The new owner is investing and knocking herself out to ensure the food is fresh, local and tasty. The coffee beats "the other guys" typical coffee and the service is personal and committed to customer satisfaction.
